Obviously first of all there is a leak somewhere. Get a refrigerant with dye in it to detect. Once that is resolved, the problem will either be fixed or you may discover another issue. Find the leak first.

You are right,but if there is no leakage on the pipes and the system is dual how do you solve such problem,sometimes you don't see leakage physically accept you have the right tools.
If not you will be doing the other side of the job.
That is why I asked the kind of car and model,and also the full details of the problem so that I will know were to start from.

Hello Mosbus , please I need your opinion on this. I just noticed that my ac sometimes blow hot air at intervals while in motion, but this doesn't happen in slow moving traffic or when idle.

Even after restarting the ac while blowing hot air, it still doesn't cool until whenever it wishes to (about 5 to 10 minutes later). I've never worked on the AC before. What could be the problem please? Thanks!

1,blocked receiver drier.

2,faulty high pressure hose.

3,faulty compressor.

check gas quantity and also the cabin filter.

actually what happened is that the seals in your compressor have failed (might have been made of teflon). this ends up forming crud that wreaks havoc on expansion valves /orifices and end up overheating the system.

this is usually a bad situation as compressor, expansion valve and condenser must be replaced and evaporator and cooling lines must be well flushed/ replaced.

GOOD ADVICE.
But you don't need to change some part as mentioned above.
All you need to change is your condenser,discharge hose,expansion valve and compressor.
The evaporator can still be flushed but make sure they loose out the expansion valve before flushing and also the remaining pipes should be flushed.pls don't allow them to use fuel to flush your evaporator or cooking gas.buy methylated spirit or thinner Is better reason why is because they dry faster.
They should use normal compressed air to flush out the solvent.
Make sure they check your radiator fan.

Yes you are right but I changed it to a double cell because it takes more water than the single cell.

The radiator fan responsible for the ac was blowing in the reverse way,so it was affecting the cooling of the ac and was fixed back to the forward rotation.
After some week again the temperature gauge begin to increase when ever he drives above 50-60 MPH but inside the traffic the temperature gauge is normal,checked the engine thermostat it was still good and temperature switch Perfect but the major cause was the radiator,it has blockage internally.
Radiator was changed from single cell to double cell.
Since then the temperature has been normal and the ac is working perfectly.

I advice you vacuum the system if you replace any part.
All you need is have a vacuum pump and vacuum to 20-30 minutes.because there is no how you will change any part and atmospheric pressure won't come in.

I need your advice on the air conditioning system of my Camry 2000.

The A.C does not cool while stock in traffic and improves as soon as the car moves. Also, the A.C switch on button light (green light) blinks while working and A.C does not cool like I would have wanted.

My location is Ajah, Lagos.

You have low refrigerant in the system,and for the switch blinking,your torque sensor is faulty and you find that sensor under your compressor.
Pls tell your technician to check your compressor oil seal first if there is any leakage before any further check.

What should I check in the fan rotation and how do I solve overfilled gas issue?

Drain the gas from the high side,and for the fan.The speed should increase after 30sec-2mins when ever you put on the ac,and also some cars radiator fan increases immediately you put the ac on.so it all depends on how the manufacturers of your car design the electrical wiring.
In addition some Rewire's do mistakes when ever they are connecting your fan some time instead of blow the normal direction it will be blowing the reverse way.
