You're making a lot of sense. I'm not despising our army, but it seems like they left intelligence for only the most senior officers, cos I'm always disgusted watching reels of recruits training online: seems like they're not trained to think at all: I mean, I don't see a lot of intelligence in their training!

From my own observation, I won't blame the women. The Bible tells us that the woman is a weaker vessel. She seeks love and approval from the man, so if for years her trust has been betrayed and she has not been loved enough or protected by her man, she tends to fight back in self defense.

This is exactly the case with our women.

No man is more man than myself, and I understand that generation upon generation of traditions that have relegated women and denied them of privileges like inheritance, justice and freedom of expression has planted the fear in their psych, and believe me, that is not in the perfect will of God.

May the LORD look upon this an judge everyone responsible for this failure, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

It never ends well when people transgress God's command. The LORD God created a singular Adam and Eve, where then did people get the doctrine of polygamy?

When we hear of the anarchical times in Israel when “ there was no king in Israel” and “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”(Judged 17:6;21:25), it's worthy of note that the real problem was not the physical absence of a king—God was their King, but a lack of understanding, courage and willingness of the existing God-appointed human leaders to execute God's laws(moral laws especially).

For instance, what business had a levite with a LovePeddler(Judges 19:2,3)? And why would harlotry even be permitted in Israel(Leviticus 19:29)?

This negligence by leaders in fully representing God was the same problem with Eli the Priest, who even failed in enforce the law of God in his own family(1 Samuel 2,3,4).

Is this not the same problem in many churches today, where members live in immorality, fraud and other abominations, yet their leader simply look the other way and pretend not to see a thing, or are even complicit?

“ If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?” (Proverbs 24:12).

No matter what those troubles are today, as long as God is still on His throne, and hears and answers prayer; just so long as your faith in Him is still intact, everything will come out all right.

Today we're gonna have one of those heart to heart talks; some people call them old fashioned Missouri corn bread. I still sort of like that, you know. I used to get a little tired especially... when for breakfast, mama would have corn bread, and she'd say, “remember, it's good for you”. Maybe that's the reason I'm so healthy today.

You know, life is like that. The things that are good for us, we resent; and we do not face the fact that they may not always be the most pleasant things in life, but they're good for us. Even our troubles are good for us. I think of that so often. Years and years ago, ... I picked up this little poem. I never forgot it: I quote it often:



“One day I walked a mile with pleasure:

she chatted all the way

and then left me for none the wiser

for all that she had to say.


But one day, and I'll never forget that day

I walked a mile with sorrow,

and not one word said she;

but all the things I learnt that day

when sorrow walked with me.”



Today, for just a few minutes, we're going to talk about the most important thing that you and I can do in this life. And life is something that's very precious. We forget what a precious thing life really is; an individual's life. I know we're living in a day, in an hour when life is becoming mighty cheap.

We hear about the death of maybe four, ten people as we listen to the news. As we pick up our Newspaper, began reading the News, we just casually pass over. There was tragedy and people were killed and you know, we just turn the page and we never take it too seriously. It wasn't a member of our family. It wasn't anyone that we knew. A casualty list. We never even bother to read it, because it wasn't someone who was dear to us. And yet, in that casualty list, there was somebody who was the most important thing in the whole world in the life of a little girl; a little boy; a mama; a father.

Human life is important! And the most important thing that you and I can do in this life is to learn how to live; and I mean exactly that; and I have come to the conclusion that there are very very few people who know how to live!

Oh sure you think you're living, but really, you're just existing, that's all. Life on earth is a very precious possession; and it doesn't last very long; not really. And while we have it, our great privilege is to do the best that we can with it.

I'll tell you about my own life. Dear me; I talk about those days when I was fourteen years of age, sixteen years of age. People still write to me and say, ‘we remember when you were a teenage girl in Idaho. We remember when our mother baked you a pie and how thrilled you were with it. I remember too!

I remember that little Presbyterian Church that didn't hold any more than seventy-five people; and to me it was as large as the largest auditorium that I minister in today.
Oh, I tell you. It was like going back to Concordia, Missouri.

When I was in Kansas city holding a meeting, and that little Methodist church where I found Christ as my Saviour had gotten so small, since I was in it the last time you know, when I was just a girl in Concordia, it was the biggest thing to me; it was as big as any cathedral that exist today. O the First Methodist Church, Concordia Missouri. And then when I went back to it, not many months ago, something happened to it. It got so little; something happened: it shrinked.

Yes sir.

And so life at its best is short; from the cradle to the grave is very short. Our great privilege is to do the best that we can with every day and every hour that we live. O I didn't think about that when I was a teenager. I don't think teenagers think about it, or teenagers would do more with their life today than they are doing with it; and I mean just exactly that.


If they could only know as a teenager! If somehow I could get every teenager this very moment to realize how important life is. Everyday. Every hour is important.

Don't wait until you're forty to realize how important life is. Don't wait until you're forty-five to realize the importance of each day. Realize it now.


It seems that the wisdom of the human race runs out with every generation, for each person has to acquire it for himself; and that was one of the hardest things for me to have to learn. I'm not quiet sure that I have learnt it well to this very hour: because I'm always trying to save someone else from the pitfalls that I had to go through. To this very day, I'm still trying to save somebody from the suffering that I had to go through to learn some of life's hard lessons. Many of you parents do the same thing for your children; but remember something, each person has to acquire it for himself. And the success or the failure of your life depends upon how much of it you get.

Now some people never know how to live; they'll live and die never knowing how to live life. They never learn no matter how old they get. And they know as little about it when they finish as when they started, and this is a sad fact. And they are the ones who mess up their lives; and that's the reason that I'm talking to you about this very simple and yet important thing today.


The secret of life is not found in books. Some times I think that we try to understand life through much learning. You'll never do it. I'm not decrying education; please understand me. Don't misconstrue something that I am saying. Don't write into my words something that I am not saying, but I repeat, the secret of life is not to be found in books. It is not in a thought pattern.


The secret of how to live is in the identification of oneself with a Person—the one Person of all people who really knew how to live, and that one was Jesus Christ.

Now who is Jesus? To many many people, He's just a mystic figure. They see Him in stained glass windows; and because they only see Him through the eyes of something that is very inferior, they have never really known the Person of Jesus. To them He's very remote. He's so far away from human beings today. I can talk to any person just two minutes and I can tell you exactly what Jesus Christ means to one. Sometimes even when they speak the name of Jesus, you know, it was like I told you over and over again, a thousand people can call my name, can speak my name, and yet, if I did not see one of the thousand, but among the thousand was mama, and she were to speak my name, I would know it was mama, because she spoke my name with a love; there was a difference.

Nobody in the whole world had ever said Kathryn like my mama. There was love. I was her child. And there's something about the way people speak the Name of Jesus. Either there's a closeness, there's a fellowship, there's a oness, there's a love or on the other hand there's some Person Who's so remote, so distant, just a stranger; and you recognize it. So we ask the question, now Who is Jesus to you?


Well you say, “He’s the Saviour of mankind”, but remember, He's more than that. How could He be more than that! But He is! Jesus is more than a religious figure. As important as that is, Jesus is personification of that tremendous thing called the Life Force.

Remember, when you get aboard the Life Force and the Life Force gets into you, then you really learn how to live, but until then you only know about life, and you have not learn how to live life, because you cannot live a successfully abundant life and be a happy person without having Him as the center of your life.


There's a passage in the Book of Acts which describes a speech that was made by Saul of Tarsus on Mars hill in Athens. It's one of the most remarkable utterances in the history of mankind. The great mind that we know as the Apostle Paul told the Athenian philosophers of his day: and they got the truth! They understood it, that the secret of life was communication with a Life Force, which he described by saying, “in Him we live, and move, and have our being.


Oh, I could formulate lots of rules on how to live. Rules that you and I might strive to follow and yet often break, but there's one rule you must not break, and that is to open yourself and that the Life Force take hold of you: and He is that Life Force. And thus, you learn how to live.


Until that time, you just exist. You have no real purpose for living.


If you've forgotten how to live, get back to the Life force.


We might as well face it: for most of us we're only half awake, half alive: only half living. Doing everything the hard way, with no vitality to speak of, no enthusiasm, no zest. Life is a heavy thing for us. It's disturbing. We're confused. We're frustrated. Recently I have met so many frustrated people. So many confused people. Life was not made for that!


We were not made for defeat! If you are a defeated person this very hour, you were not made for defeat! God the Creator never made any man, any woman for defeat. Never! He has given laws, there are principles, there's everything that any man or woman needs for a victorious life if that individual will only accept His laws, His rules, and that which He has given for a life of victory.


I was never made for defeat! You were never made for defeat! Know that! You were never made for discouragement! No man was ever created to be a bum. A panhandler. That's right!


If you are a bum! If you are a drunkard! If you are a thief, you were never made by the great creator to be a thief, a drunkard, a bum, or just a wasted life. You are important to God! As I told you before, life the most priceless thing, the most precious thing in the world! Know that! If only I can get you to see it.


Life is a restless, is a disrupted thing until we give ourselves to something beyond ourselves, until we obey something that is greater than ourselves.


A doctor once said to me, “3/4th of my patience need what you can give them more than what the medical profession can give them”. Paul says, “in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” We do live and move in the very powers that He gives us. We must live and move in Him even when troubling Him in our lives, for He is our great Creator. We live by the the very power that He gives us. We're dependent on Him for the next beat of our heart, and yet millions living today do not have their being in Him. We live on surface roots. No! my friend, we must go down and give Him everything: body, soul and spirit.


Wonderful Jesus, I pray You'll make this simple heart to heart talk real, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
