Two matches are not enough judge. We are passing better. I think Finidi needs time.
Passes don't win match, goals do.

Wirtz scored within 8 seconds of KO with just one pass from Kroos. Your tikitaka team would have passed the ball through Abule Egba, Surulere, Ketu, Ikeja and Ikorodu before the the ball go reach the final third.

Na wa. Which kind of license do you think Amunike and Finidi are carrying?
Which license are they carrying? Did they even put what they learn in the license to use? Why have they remain jobless even with the license?

These local coaches are best as assistants. Until they go pump up CV enough to be chased by other countries before we suppose dey take them seriously ever again. See the women legends pumping up CB sotey of Randy step down tomorrow, we get 6 Ex internationals that have robust CV to take over.

Time are leaving these guys behind and the quality is thinning out. This is not just overreacting. They keep desiring to make someone like Jpes look like a smart guy sadly. We'll see sha
They're not even good as assistants sef. You be Arsenal fan na. Imagine what Joker, Carlos, Albert are doing behind the scene at Arsenal. These are assistant coaches that you can call on to undertake a match in Arteta's absence. But for here in naija, na to dey drag jersey with another player Dem Sabi. shameless lots.

even blind man knows that our local coaches aren’t good enough

No matter the insult I get here about it I will never support employing any of them to coach the super eagles

What the Malians did is simple which is to choke the midfield and close or midfielders down when ever they re with the ball which resulted to too much back passes from our midfielders and defenders
They have refused to upgrade. Take for instance, the like of Elneny, Jorginho and Fabregas are now working towards obtaining their coaching license. I can't name just one local coach with a standard coaching license in Nigeria. Na to dey do magomago Dem Sabi. Just imagine the excuse the mugu wey carry U20 go AAG was making.

When you guys analyze football you expressly think you are some high and mighty that could just walk into the field and handed victory.

Firstly , the Malians have a good team.

Secondly, the SE have no creative midfielder. Who is that player that could hold the ball and soak up the pressure from the Malians.
So as you Don analyze the match like this, does that mean 'you're high and mighty, and can walk into the field and secure victory'?

To be honest, a little tweak in tactic and personnel and we would be playing a decent football.

When you have a team that presses high like Mali did, you bait them and go long. In this formation, Nacho and Iwobi were doing what Ndidi and Onyedika were supposed to do. Nacho and Iwobi being part of the front three should be dropping between the lines at the final phase of the build up instead of dropping deep.

And I don't know how to compare this but our pressing is poor. We are too relaxed when the opponent have the ball.

All the best sha.

Nigeria 2 Ghana 1

Naija fans: Finidi is good enough. Just support him with enough funds and coaching crew. Foreign coaches are overrated.

Nigeria 0 Mali 2

Naija fans: Local coaches are not good enough. We need foreign coach asap.

grin grin grin There are two things in this life that are difficult to understand - Women and football fans.

At this stage we can say that the midfield is one of the toughest position in the SuperFalcons right now…

Having Ayinde, Ucheibe, Abiodun, T Payne and Echegini

The only reason I’m picking Payne ahead of Echegini is Experience right now, if not with the few games Onyi has played she’s top notch and would make any team roster in the World..

Don’t forget we still have Regina Otu, Amanda Mbadi, Chinaza Uchendu, Peace Efih, Esther Onyenezide and foreign born Elisha Sulola..!
So who would be your first choice Midfield three?

Since that time, it's super hard to replicate this front 3. A front 3 that all 3 brought adequate threat individually. Not to talk of team effort too. I just feel Ordega wing is still empty sort of. It's never the same since she stopped being a regular.
It is not hard to replicate the front three. It is just that we now have many player fighting for the 3 spots.

We better play to get pk during the 90mins too. A 343 would make sense or 352. Unless Coach wants to play Okeke in Alozie spot. But Ashleigh as wb or lb is best.

Till then, Swart go hearam.
Ashleigh as WB? Na you type this thing?

Deschamps won't be French coach forever. Saliba is still young and has many years to play at the top level; he should honor France national team callup . I'm sure whoever steps in after Deschamps will not be foolish to continue benching Saliba

Esther is a 9 na. Moreso, I kinda prefer a fluid front three. Desire, Ordega and Oshoala used to do this back then.

Ko Pari O!

Will take out Halimatu and bring in Abiodun.
More energy, best ball winner in our MF and better link up play with Echegini and was massive in her last 4 starts.
No way would I bench her for Halimatu at this point in time.
You're actually describing Ucheibe here. When it comes to energy and ball-winning, who do you think does it better between Ucheibe and Abiodun? When you have 3 good midfielders fighting for 2 spots, you consider their individual qualities and how to arrive at the best compatibility. Dropping Abiodun doesn't mean she is not good enough after all there are enough minutes to go round. Ayinde gets the nod here for me.

Man City, Bayern, Chelsea and Bayern again. 3 big games. Funny enough, I'm quite confident.

We should just get City out of the way first. That will push up the adrenaline for the Bayern match. And if we beat Bayern, Chelsea go too suffer eh ... grin grin

Ignoring callups isn't the best position. Make Saliba just manage, afterall how many days or months players deh stay with national team.

Rice even said that when he returns back, he'll speak to White and convince him to come back to England sef cheesy
It is better they ignore o for the sake of sanity. If Saliba feels he can handle the mental aspect, he can stay o. I don't just want anything to distract the guy.

I think White will only return if that assistant coach resigns. Or maybe if Southgate issues public apology sha. Guys like White no dey send anybody o.

The bolded just looks as if he has personal bias with the player. Coaches are known to be diplomatic when answering questions regarding their players (except if the player fvcks up well) but Deschamps have been doing quite the opposite for Saliba and this is not the first time.

Southgate own with Ben White Is understandable but this Deschamps own is not understandable one bit. If him no like Saliba make him talk
It is something personal. Maybe Saliba should just ignore his call-ups henceforth. Imagine what an experienced coach is saying in public.

Iwobi looked so much better when he played with Onyeka and Ndidi behind him. It freed him from the defensive responsibilities which is not his forté at all.

whether we were paying for stadium or not. Whether there was 200m somewhere or not. Wenger and the whole board fumbled.

I mean, wouldn't Arsenal have earned same money or even bigger if the target was the EPL trophy? What did we have to lose if we compete for trophies instead of top 4? No be money we go collect? I know the squad needed improvement but no be money person dey use find money?

No be say the team was that bad sef. A quality signing in two or three positions and we would be competing.
