elyte89: Wow ,she was very outstanding in that u-20 squad , i love her style of play,so calm on d ball and can mark as well, hoping she would replace dis long serving olodo midfielder Rita chikwelu Abi wetin be her name, wey Dey play like rugby player ,I wonder aw dt lady made d team in d first instance for dt long period,I hope she is not going to dis World Cup,it’s better Dey leave d slot blank Dan taking her ..shishi she no sabi play, she go Dey force ball Rita used to be one of the best midfielders in Africa at some point. I believe old age has cut up with her. She should be 35 or so by now sef. She was so good in her younger days. |

My takeaways from the game. 1. Alozie is beauty and brain. We should find how to get her up top more often. 2. We need a 4th CB just in case. Onome has lost some steam. 3. Tosin needs to know when to go long and when to go short. If you wan go long, make sure it is on target. 4. Imuran might just have cemented that LB spot. I particularly like how she sometimes cut into Midfield and pick a pass. Her defensive awareness was top-notch too. 5. Desire Lukaku Oparanozie is indispensable. She has a lot to offer the team both on and off the field. 6. Nnadozie is a super eagle material. At worst, she will make the 3rd choice spot. No joke. 7. I'll be fasting tomorrow. Every spirit of injury that will want to stop Asisat from walloping, destroying, bamboozling and thrashing Chelsea, make Dem die by fire. 8. Finally, Jale did everything she could but couldn't steal a goal for NZ. kudos to our defence. (Jake is NZ no25) |

daveP: Ebi made two mistakes in last 10mins of the game. I dunno if its me sha but the eye Blessing givam be like
"Wetin you dey play now Cappy?"
Defence did absolutely well. Echegini deserves accolades for the goal. I'm still assessing cos I'm still not fully convinced. If her strength lies in run ins to the box then something needs to be done to make that a threat that even commentator go noticed. Till then. One Champagne for Gift Monday and Alozie.
We urgently need a Left crosser badlllly. Desire was the only one that gave a sweet cross all match from the left. Normally, she should be the receiver of such crosses. Right crossing is still Alozie for now. We need one midfielder to join her in that. Those bunching at the corner flag is off to me. Not needed. Imuran is equally good with crosses. I noticed that during the world cup. I don't know why she was restricted to our half today. As for Onome Ebi, she is another negative from today's game. Her passes,no matter how simple were erratic. She needs to buckle up and regain some sharpness. She almost gifted the NZ a goal with that short backpass to Dozie. |

Agadinaagwuofe: No one is making an excuse but the miscue of the pass is not the worst take from the match. Throughout the second half, the Liverpool players camped on arsenal half and were mounting pressure upon pressure and that alone puts extra work on arsenal forwards to come back and assist in defensive job and also bomb forward for attack. If you watch the scenerio very well, he came under pressure from the counter attack and alsohad the intent to pass the ball but needed to get it right hence the too many touches but ended up passing it wrongly.
I would have been mad if he never made an attempt to pass but since it's a wrong passing made without accuracy, it should be let go as human error which I feel it's due to poor coordination. The pass would have made the difference if done correctly but that is just an error like any other error that comes with every match after all Nunez also miss one on one even Salah openly scuffled an empty net.The miscued pass for me wasn't the worst part of the match.
For games arsenal is under pressure from opponent, Arteta should not be allowing Martinelli to play 90mins. He had all he time in the world to execute that pass. A simple pass into that space would have set up saka easily. But he had to dribble first. |

Jodera2: Lol... Holding would come in to close shop na, when everything done almost done.
But today's own, e still been deh cook General Holding E get one clearance wey baba play go corner..come see the way I shouted eh. What is more strange is that he is probably the calmest on the pitch. |

Jodera2: I accepted Zinny should be subbed especially since we're parking the bus. He had no business being on the pitch entering the 65min when the pressure was very high. At the instant, the pressure was very very much.
My point is this... What made the pressure to be much.? What made only Martinelli and GJ to be up top only them? Have we ever been on that situation this season in any ground for most part of the minutes?
Once we answer that questions, we'll know the reason why a whole arsenal this season have to send only Jesus and Martinelli to be playing up top all by themselves and why a whole Partey and Xhaka was playing CBs Tactic do change. Arteta probably changed tactic at half time but Zinchenko dey rest room that time. |

Jodera2: If you don't see how that affects our shape and structure esp against a strong team who's good at pressure, then I'm sorry, I don't know what to say. We literally parked the bus. You think, Liverpool holding the ball every second doesn't have an impact on the team when it's not our nature?
Anyways Martinelli fvcked up, esp that last chance. That was a possible 3 pointer You don't get. We were defending, Arteta left Jesus and Martinelli up top...What do you expect Holding to do? BTW, this is about Zinny not Holding. Despite his limitations, Holding did his job. Just accept that Zinny fumbled. |

daveP: Two top 4 teams for us. Omo!!
We need to step up. Teta needs to actually say and do
He called it 9 Finals.
The Anfield game didn't feel like one. It looked one sided. That's not how to play a final imo. This will be a true test. TBH I don lose hope. City has no injury worry and Haaland be like person wey just do goal subscription. We tried but losing the cup at this juncture is painful. |

kokaneprodigy: Exactly you saw the tactic, Gabriel was doubling as a CB and LB. That’s on Arteta not Zinny. Zinny was only playing to instructions. This is what I want Iamoyindamola to see. Which instruction bro? There are some decisions a player will and can take during a match without any instruction from the coach. Zinny fumbled abeg. We dey defend, you run go midfield leaving behind Salah. Firminho, Gakpo and Nunez dey middle so Gabi marking Salah will leave a lot of space. Infact, the Midfield wey Zinny ran to, we couldn't dominate. Why not just concentrate on defending. And that nutmeg .... arrrggghh |

Jodera2: Football is evolving sha.
Na Saliba injury cause all these things cos I know we'll never park bus the way we did today even with Zinny.
I saw many great opportunity we should have transitioned to great chances once we beat the first press but because we budey it, it was passed on.
Now, teams are more of system than individuals. it's the main reason why Guardiola will ditch a Degea for an Ederson even though he knows that The primary duty of GK is saves and reflexes. Same reason Zinny would still bench Tierney. Lol...the way you dey mention Saliba ehn...Even with Saliba in that match, Holding would still come in. |

iamoyindamola: And finally it will never be better for Paul Tierney That ball wasn't and can never be a penalty I no even wan talk about the weyrey. Lost count of the number of times he turned a blind eyes to serious fouls on our players. Konate almost knock out Martinelli with a high foot... nothing show. Make we no even talk about how Konate abi who sef kick Jesus with his knee. Ordinary body wey Partey body Nunez, baba awarded foul. I don lost count bro. Na their way |

Agadinaagwuofe: I would have been mad if he didn't attempt the pass but given the amount of time he played and the pressure liverpool mounted on arsenal, it is only human to misplaced the pass. I mean he attempted the pass but due to lack of coordination he hit the pass with wrong accuracy. It is not the worse take from the match just that better judgement would have made the difference but the bulk of the blame of the match outcome should be ascribed to Arteta for poor in-game management. Bro...are you really making excuse? that ball was a one time pass. There was a lot of space in front of saka. Martinelli's extra touches spoilt everything. |

There were lots of things to talk about, but none is more painful than that crappy decision making by Nelli in final minutes. I was enraged E still dey pain me now bro... Just a simple pass, he fumbled. Arrrgghj |

Jodera2: Saka have the best decision making in our attack, I'll always say it.
Moreover, I knew you and Oyindamola would pick on Zinny. We never had Zinny problem in the first half until the 2nd half when the pressure was on and most ball that fell to Holding was launched inside making them to win the 1st & 2nd balls to relaunch their pressure. What's the end product, we resulted in parking the bus Forget Holding. If Gabriel and Zinchenko had launched the ball during the City match, we wouldn't concede two. And how many goals did we conceded whenever Holding launched the ball? Well, my problem is not even Zinchenko but Martinelli....I dey vex for that guy right now... |

The 2 points we lost today were all on Martinelli. A one time pass on that last counter would have set up saka up but the weyrey dey do useless dribble. Make I no start with the countless number of times when a simple pass would have been a better idea but he chose to enter traffic. This decision making is why Saka will always be ahead of him. Jodera you don see why I dey scared of Zinchenko against Liverpool? Arteta messed up too with the substitution. Tierney should have entered for saka instead of Kiwior for Ode. walahi this match pain me die...we had the game on our hand FFS |
