Just calm down bro. Maybe by season's end, we'll revisit this topic That's how I was brought up bro. Nearly doesn't kill a bird. I must admit the team played some attractive football but then what are they going to show for it? We wait for next season. we will be here. Meanwhile, we're playing Manchester United in pre season. |

That kick is a yellow card all day and he was duly given. It wasn't a stamp or high foot.
If any Arsenal player is given red card because of this, I would have para. Countless number of times sef.. the topic is insignificant though. No be today e don dey happen |

Jodera: Lol, I understand your anger and disappointment but one thing I know is that the boys tried. Title challenge pressure(esp if na Man city dey your back) is different from Top4 pressure.
Losing two goal lead and display against Southampton is bad enough but that's because of the pressure to be almost perfect that caused us but I believe all these things will add as experience.
I've always said, the only reason why you think we didn't try enough is because of how deadly Man city is plus we're inexperienced In this title challenge journey. As long as this group is together, we'll grow and it's certain.
Nobody wants to believe in process again sha. Me I'll always believe in process over any results cos good process will surely yield good results and it can be sustainable for long while good result can just come even if the process is not right but we all know it can never ever be sustainable Jodera, the pressure you mentioned is an excuse. We're all the players not saying they're taking one game at a time and that they're not watching other teams? If you can't handle pressure, how can you win? You know how many clubs will be competing for the league next season? Shey na until then the team will grow. Not that I don't believe in the team but their performance this season was woeful. It could have been better if we're still in other competitions. |

Jodera: You can bring valid points to make your case about the red cards, just like how Andro.id did his Aside the Penalty which I missed(which Andro.id showed me because I didn't start the match from beginning), I think the ref was very very fair In his job Should we talk about Grealish grabbing Partey? Was it Dias who kicked White abi na Akanji? I knew how it'd turned out if an Arsenal's player was the culprit. Then there is the illegal goal too. |

Roland17: It is the refusal to hold this team and coaches accountable that frustrates me the most. We act like Arteta is doing us a favor coaching this team. What does phase(s) have to do with us blatantly bottling the league and getting knocked out of every competition. Last season, we had an opportunity to make the top 4, we were in control of our destiny but we blew it and some did not see anything wrong with it and here we are bottling the league again.
While we are going through this phase which is vague in my thoughts (is this phase 1-5 or phase 1 to eternity?), are other teams just sitting and watching? Do you seriously believe City/ Liverpool/ Chelsea/ United are just going to lay duck? Or are we going to become perennial top 4 contenders like we have been in the past? I seriously don't get. I say this all the time, maybe some of us built differently when it comes to expectations.
We are not getting this chance next season, not with Arteta's refusal to be flexible with his tactics, predictability and understanding his opponents. Listen man, I am really disappointed. Newcastle should be the one celebrating their season because they overachieved, especially if they make the top 4, not Arsenal. This sense of mediocrity amongst fans makes me sick to my stomach. It has been over 20 years and folks are refusing to call it what it is because they don't want to offend Arteta.
My Milan side finished 2nd behind Inter in the 2020/2021 season. Going into the 2021/2022 season and based on the transfers made and the team, we figured we should get the top and remain in the UCL. No Milan fan thought we stood any chance of winning the Scudetto against heavy spenders like Inter, Juventus and Napoli but as the season progressed, we soon realized we were in the mix and guess what? we dumped everything else and focused on winning the league. When opportunities avail themselves, you strike and strike hard because there are no guarantees.
#COYG Well said... Nothing to add. you've said it all |

Modified: Naahhh... This a penalty all day long. It's surprising how Var missed this but Mehn, this is 100% a penalty. If we want to talk about poor officiating, it's better we talk about 2 potential red cards which the ref didn't issue to those City players. |

Jodera: This is one of the reasons why I would never criticize this team nor Arteta for not winning the league even though I would have loved for them to win it. We're still in phase 3 of Arteta's 5 phase process to be champions. Next season is phase 4 and with what they've shown this season, I'm really optimistic about next season.
This season, we overachieved on our goal and no matter how anybody (fans or rivals fans) wants to look at it, it's still the fact and we didn't bottle anything.
Make them reach Phase 4 and 5 first(esp the latter) and if arsenal isn't challenging or winning Trophies (or even capitulating), that's when I'll Justifiably criticize this team because by then they'll have come of age.
For now, I'm in awe in what Arteta and the boys have done since last season up till now and I'm proud of them. I just wish them many more heights.
COYG!!! You have a point though. However, I believe if you're almost there, you should do everything it takes to be there. There is simply no excuse, I repeat no excuse for bottling the league this season. Not like we're 1 point ahead. 5 valuable points FFS. We bottled a 2-goal lead not once but twice. What's even more embarrassing was how ordinary Southampton ran rampage in front of our fans. I should now use one useless development plan to console myself? No bro. The team fumbled! They didn't try enough. |

COOL10: Well, that could be the case but there's just something different when you watch them play. They play with so much confidence like they know they're capable of beating whichever team they face no matter the pedigree of players .
Joelinton that was almost forgotten is playing like a man on fire. Even the usual Championship-standard Murphy is scoring goals .
Their fans have also succeeded in turning their home ground into an intimidating environment.
Whatever they're doing is definitely working. You said it all bro. It is like their new Arab owner gave them something to drink. Their upward trajectory is similar to that of City. EPL will now become more competitive. |

Arteta has activated the phase 4 of the development plan by adding two more staffs.
Arsenal Staff Reshuffle for Phase 4 of Arteta’s Plan: Jason Ayto, James Ellis Assume New Roles
Jason Ayto has been appointed assistant sporting director, and James Ellis has been promoted to head of recruitment at Arsenal, part of a reshuffle by sporting director Edu Gaspar.
Both Ayto and Ellis will work across the men's and women's teams as well as the academy, supporting Edu in their new roles.
Ellis, who joined Arsenal in 2021 from Fulham, was previously known as the club’s first-team scout in the UK. Ayto, who started scouting for the club in 2014, has been serving as the club’s recruitment coordinator. #arsenalfanaticsnews |

COOL10: It's crazy how Newcastle haven't even spent as much as most thought they would but here they are sitting 3rd on the EPL table.
Is it that the players were afraid of better players coming in to displace them and then decided to improve?
Is it that lots of money have been spent on better training equipment and facilities?
Is it the effect of that new confidence/high that comes with becoming rich?
Or could it be that Eddie Howe is just a coach who's beginning to show his true worth?
Whatever the case may be, I'm really happy for them. I never expected them to experience success so quickly. You just asked the right questions bro. I still don't know the reason behind their resurgence. Probably due to the fact that some of the top 4 regulars are having a bad season. |

daveP: This situation could have been averted had there been just more pace by those running back. The fact that the fullbacks were no where to be found again says alot. But anyone could run back and cover up either of two of them and stopped that goal. Two of our pacy defenders are out for the season and things fall apart at the back. We now have conceded 9 in 3games and dropped 9 too. Gabriel's positioning was what paved the way for KDB. Gabriel adjusted a bit and KDB took advantage. Na there second goal dey baffle me pass. |
