Osimhen will score more in any team as long as Osimhen learns to stay onside.

Is it not the same Man City that a young Ihenacho was scoring goals in... Ihenacho is not as fast as Osimhen..

Man City usually has more possession than their oppositions so their forward players don't really have to press. They just have stay onside and wait for the pass or cross..

Osimhen has a higher sense of anticipation than Haaland that's one of the reasons Osimhen runs offside because he has already anticipated and predicted the pass so he thinks his teammates think like him.

In summary
Instead of staying onside and waiting for the pass or cross... Osimhen predicts the pass then runs early and runs past the defenders and runs offside.

You can't have an high sense of anticipation and still be frequently offside. Though staying onside depends on both positioning and anticipation. Haaland effectively combines both but I can't say the same about Osimehn.
Like I said, both are good players but with remarkable differences.

Can someone close to the u-17 team ask them to "collect" thier phones? Maybe "collect" is rather too dramatic, but reading thier posts on twitter after every game leaves a bitter taste.

Almost every member of the team does it, and I'm here thinking you guys are supposed to be playing a u-17 championship. It's developmental for God's sakes and there shouldn't be pressure to "win at all cost" or "expresses regret" when you loose. Post pictures sometimes but be the "kids" you are supposed to be.

God bless you. The falconets did same too then. All of them have suddenly opened Twitter accounts.

to Israel or Norway

His team defended with 7 players

Defended with 7 players and still made about 10 saves. You don't expect Omonia to go toe-to-toe with Man Utd. Do you?

BascoVanVeli:
That their red card is still doing me some kind of way. The referee was on the spot and she gave a yellow so why the need of VAR? Plus that was their best player.

Oh...I didn't watch the match. So they're also a victim of another questionable decision?... Na wa o

Uzoho's performance today might just earn him a big move.

Abeg when una see Andrew last?

This is what I keep telling people. Osimehn in a team like Man city will score pas Haaland

Ever heard the saying, work smart, not hard ? That's what's applicable here. Haaland doesn't exert his energy pressing anyhow. All he has is positioning and high sense of anticipation. I have never seen any player who is ahead of Haaland in both qualities.

The fact that Osimehn presses hard doesn't mean he will definitely score more goals than Haaland in the City team. Osimehn in that City team will give the MSN vibe where every forwards will have almost the same number of goals and assists.

Both are quality players but with remarkable differences.

Omo... Messi dey try abeg.

Imagine playing with this pique and Busquet and still winning matches.

Barcelona in Europa....

AndSunGorilla:
Dem no fit win Europa, to even qualify na d hope wey dem get now.

Be like say the levera wey Dem activate in summer are not enough. They will need to activate some pulleys and then wheels and axles.

AndSunGorilla:
Mohammed vex as dem put am for bench

Why em nor vex on Sunday?

Baba see small team now and turned to prime Messi

AndSunGorilla:
@Andrewbaba all is not lost, dem still fit make Europa but even that one no sure.

Europa no sure jare...all teams dropping down to Europa will have to play the second placed teams in Europa league.

Make Rivers United catch this Barca lasan

Where Andrew sef...

Xavi na clown

Tanzania also lost today. 4 goals to nil

We will get there one day...

OkpaNsukkaisBae:
If i were xavi. I'll do a 3-4-3 formation.. No need to play four defenders.

Only 2 defenders are fit na... Pique and Eric.....if Xavi attempts to play Alonso I defence, there will be a big problem.

The Germans obviously were the better team yesterday, but I do not believe they would have won but for the poor decisions of the referee that led to both goals. Thanks for highlighting that. Giving the corner kick was scandalous and the high boot?

Imagine if that high boot was fatal. The ref didn't even check.

do4luv14:
Can same be said for Uzoho and Maduka

No... different scenarios

Highlights of the Flamingoes match. Both goals were borderline fraudulent

I don't think we will be. If you see the hunger and determination from these guys, you'll notice they can't be complacent.

Right from last season, it's being brewing and you can see that In the togetherness and the way they celebrate each goal. Why do you think they do huddle whenever a goal is scored?

Well...they should keep it up.

Thank you.
Edidiong and ajakaiye to do the usual.

Jodera:
That "mental block" was what is important and it'll give us confidence facing man city especially if our form continues.

It would have dampened our spirit if we lost or drew that game against them cos it means anytime we meet them again we won't be sure of a win since we can't even beat them even if they're at their worst form and we're at our best. Now we can confidently face them in any footballing challenge.

First half, they nearly fell for that mental block. I thank Arteta and anyone who roused them at half time for them to produce that wonderful 2nd half showing.

Exactly.... that's more reason why the win was so important.
For now, we kinda have an easy run of games though we shouldn't be complacent. The only difficult game will be at Stamford bridge.

No lineup yet?

BascoVanVeli:
So football starts and stops in England ba What about ur own Super Eagles who still use the long throws till today?⁰

Even Partey don use am this season against Spurs and it almost resulted to a goal. The guy too dey cap...

Match like tomorrow's is why I was not that pleased when Barca sold De Jong. Now, there is nobody to score headers for us against a defensive team.

With the way I'm looking at it, na 10 coaster buses Inter go pack tomorrow

One thing some fans are not noticing is our win against Liverpool is a big change of tide. Now, we wouldn't have a mental block when playing them.
The only team remaining is City. Hopefully we will change that this season.
