it'll be termed desperation and lemme tell you why. Last season, Holding was our only defender so it's normal for him to be called upon when we wanna close shop. It means that if any CB have injury, he'll be In line to replace him, so even if he starts next game, it'll be seen as normal.

Compare it to this season where Tomiyasu and Tierney have taken over his place as close shop masters. If we just meet Man city and you now put Holding who isn't a regular player(i.e coming from bench included), what message are you trying to pass to the team, and more importantly, what message are you trying to pass to Tomi and Tierney?
