Maximum respek to Leno ! cool Man was a professional to the core ; even when he had difficult times and lost his place to Ramsdale he wasn’t throwing tantrums and busy granting interviews about why he needs to play and all….Despite the fact that he had to wait for his turn till we we were done with Cech, he still continued to be a professional who discharged his duty whenever he was called upon .

For Leno’s sake I hope Fulham don’t get relegated at the end of the season as usual.
If Fulham get relegated, and Turner is still our backup, Leno is welcomed back.

I wish baba respected himself better, carried himself with more decorum, especially amongst the younger players as the team transitioned… His disciplinary issues got worse but I respect him more than I will ever Fabregas, Snake RVP, Nasri, Adebayo..

It’s sad to see how bad his final years are turning. I will always respect what Auba did for us though. He played with a lot of bums and carried Arsenal for a while there.. pretty much all your himself.
Yea.... His disciplinary issue was the problem then. All the youngsters respected him and he was sociable. I heard he do buy them gifts.

DLPs also operate as CDMs with just a slightly different interpretation of the role. That's common knowledge.

And trust me, I am just being factual on Ndidi's potentials. He remains Nigeria's most rated and most valuable midfielder in world football today but let us not overrate his abilities abeg. Dude's ballplaying deficiencies is one of the major reasons we have suffered in Major tournaments recently when the going gets tough.

20/21 season remains his peak season so far at club lebel and he hasn't even replicated that in the GWG or even lately for Leicester before his injuries kicked in.
I know....
TBH, I'm tired of the guy. Nacho inclusive.

Nice one!!!
He once brought speakers to the training ground and played the You never walk alone song.....to mimic the Anfield ambience so that the players could learn to play under pressure. Even though, we later lost to Liverpool by 4 goals but that act is commendable in my opinion. I like it when a person thinks outside the box.

On the Ndidi and Mikel argument....
Why are we not taking into context, the number of games played and the fact that Ndidi has more goal contributions. cheesy

But...I don't like how Mikel just faded after that Olympic tournament. That was the beginning of our NT woes.

Mikel deserves a statue.... Lemme call Okorocha

Rodrigo
Fabinho
Jorginho
Kante (DM Version)
Granit Xhaka
Kalvin Phillips
Declan Rice
Jonjo Shelvey

These are CDMs in the EPL with excellent and much better passing techniques and range compared to our own Ndidi.

Want me to go outside the EPL??
Jorginho, Xhaka and Shelvey are DLPs.
Anyway, what I was trying to establish is that a lot of things can affect the passing technique of a player. Correct me if I'm wrong but Partey was not this good with passes when he was at atletico. For a player that was converted from a defender to a midfielder and plays for a team like Leceister, let's cut Ndidi some slacks abeg.
Fact is Ndidi might actually improve his passing technique if he is playing for a team like Barca and city.

Yeah. You are right. Chelsea beat off Barca and AC Milan to bag Carney.

As for the loan matter... well, will Chelsea loan out an 18 y/o they just paid £15Million for with an extra 5M in add-ons to come?

Well, I really don't get Tuchel's plans just yet but time will tell.
Fact is Barcelona didn't really go for him that's why Chelsea was able to sign him. Barca is after Benardo Silva for now.
Fact is if Xavi tells Laporta and alemany he wants Tuchel's GF as his second wife, there's nothing Chelsea can do about it grin grin grin

Ermm.... You're not following the argument.
There are lots of criteria to consider when you want to compare 2 players. As a DM, Ndidi is better than Mikel in some aspects while Mikel is better in another aspects too. That's what Meliforme is trying to pass across.
But overall o, Mikel is miles ahead.

How do you know he's more important?

From reviews I've read, he's more aggressive, calm, have speed and he's hardly beaten by any attacker. Coupled with the fact that he has a good passing range like White too. If na you be the boss, who will you choose?

This season is one that Arteta would want to use his best team since the pressure is on and I won't be surprised it'll be Gabriel-Saliba pairing it'll be all season (all things being equal). Though sometimes we might switch to 3 at the back to accommodate White
Remember those beautiful team goals we scored last season? It wouldn't have been possible if we had CBs that are not smart or intelligent enough to spot a good space for pass. The whole idea of playing out from the back is to draw out the opponents leaving them vulnerable at the back and with 2 or 3 passes to break away from their press. White is clearly ahead of Saliba when it comes to breaking the press. Make Saliba no fumble sha...

Inasmuch as Saliba is taking everything by storm, I think it is a bit unripe to just place him ahead of White. White is more important to our tactic and the way we play generally. Hopefully,we will get it right.
BTW, this will be a real headache for Arteta especially when Tomi is back

While I feel everybody should be allowed to practise whatever sexual group they belong to, nothing of such should be tolerated while in camp.
Practising lesbianism in camp can actually be disadvantageous.
1. Performing the act on the eve of a match might actually limit their performance.

2. It does lead to beef among the players. Something relating to jilting or cheating..

3. Formation of cabal or division of the team .. Gay vs straight scenario.

This is an excerpt from an article recently released by Aljazerra.

Cynthia Uwak claims she was iced out if the team cause of the sexual preference. She also claims Ucharia Uche is a closeted lesbian. Interesting read.

A scapegoat
In 2004, aged just 18, Cynthia Uwak made her international debut for Nigeria; her performance instantly announced her as a star to watch out for.

The attacker was a key part of the Super Falcons’ runs at the 2004 and 2006 WAFCON and was adjudged Africa’s best player by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2006 and 2007. There was an unmistakable sense among pundits, industry insiders and fans that this was a player of truly historic.

However, as she turns 36 this July, she has gone close to 12 years since her last appearance for Nigeria.

After missing the 2010 WAFCON due to an injury, she was surprisingly dropped from the Super Falcons’ squad to the World Cup the following year. Aside from unsuccessful calls by members of the public to recall her to the national team in 2016, Uwak has simply vanished from the public eye.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, she said her exclusion from the national team was on account of her sexual preference. “Some of the best players were left out of the squad because they were practising lesbians,” she confirmed.“It was a long time ago, but it’s something I still remember because that was why I stopped playing in the national team

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to judge anybody as I believe everybody should what is right for them.

But this act of lesbianism, don't you think it might affect the team performance?
