Spy360: Lol.
That's very possible. The penalty scored by Palace started with Partey losing the ball in midfield.
[We can only expect that to happen more often with Lokonga. It's the risk in playing a lone midfielder that is not cautious of his markers, so the CBs have to play higher up the pitch close to him to mitigate that risk. This is something we already do.]
Back to that penalty, when Partey lost the ball, Gabriel was meant to cover up but got beaten by Zaha. well.. let's see how it goes. Imagine we have an efficiently scoring attack, at least we wouldn't worry much. But our super striker has refused to score. Even, his Thierry Henry resemblance couldn't scare away defenders |

Jodera: It will be interesting to see what Arteta uses as formation this weekend.
Another thing is that Laca have been in terrible form for the past one month. He isn't scoring goals, he isn't pressing from the front and he isn't linking up play. It will be better he sits this one out perhaps it'll refresh his head And Balogun is probably in form of his life right now Can this just get any worse? Maybe Marti or Pepe as the CF. Nketiah no be am abeg |

Spy360: I have watched Lokonga playing both as a single and double pivot and he plays better alone. It's just as Partey.
Your fear is thinking a single pivot means lonely but that's far from it. In fact, a single pivot means more forward passes, more responsibility and more tactical freedom. No..this guy is great with his leg...infact his long passes are just so accurate. You remember a particular match where he lost the ball twice and our opponent scored on both ocassions, that's what I'm worried about. As a lone DM, can he withstand the pressure when pressed? Partey being kind of physical is the reason he could play that role well. Imagine Maupay brushing aside Sambi as he attempt to receive a pass from White |

Jodera: Me too I'm even afraid of Sambi as lone DM sef, but the options we have aren't even encouraging either.
I'm suspecting Arteta might default back to 4231 back while giving tavarez last chance I'm not comfortable with Sambi as a lone DM at all.. except we go back to 352. And if Tavarez will play, Xhaka will need to drop back to help him which will allow Marti to come inside. And it's time we start using this false 9 approach to at least see us through this season. |

JohnBullMySon: You clearly stated what
Right since our loss. We've been drumming it since here that we have poor coaching. That was before you and some others started parading an irrational narrative that the influx of foreign players were the reason for our loss. That's why I quoted you with those questions.
If you knew we were not properly coached then why did you start blaming innocent players because they were born outside Nigeria? Is it the others born in Nigeria that are now immune to bad coaching? I didn't. I don't know where you got that from. You quoted a particular phrase from Amokachi dismissing it as nonsense and I disagreed. I went ahead to state that most of those HGs in our team are from our cadet teams and NFF should concentrate on that rather than begging FBs who are not willing to play for us even though they may not be better than what we have. Also, with proper Coaching, this present team can perform better than this. My point was simple... you're the one that conjure up the FBs vs HGs talk and I don't know where you got it from. |

This idea of Sambi as a lone 4 no go work. His physicality is not there yet and he lost the ball too much. I don't know but I'll prefer we pair him with Elneny with xhaka at LB. Sambi will combine with Marti the way Ode and Saka do. Elneny sitting deep...Cedric overlapping with xhaka staying back to make it 3 man defence. |

mostob: You're the ignorant one here. And all your questions have been answered but you won't understand then because you already have a particular notion programmed into your mind. Nothing wrong in having FBs but it should be the quality ones. Packing all these FBs in our team without proper coaching is a waste of time.
As for what you bolded, it's all staring at our face but you won't see. Johnbullmyson...here goes your answer. The reason why it is working for other countries but not ours is coaching as I clearly stated that. We have one of the best squads in Africa but we're always dominated, why? Coaching |

Barryseal: This is the reason I sparsely comment here. Most of you barely know anything about the tactics of football. You didn't realize the defense and midfield couldn't hold the ball which will force the Ghanaians out of their defencive shape, leaving room for runners behind. We tried it once when Osimhen was caught offside. That was a route we couldn't capitalize on. I should stop here and leave you guys to your ignorance. bro...all these were on coach. Why I'm always sceptical about blaming the players is that they may be playing to the coach's instructions. What I noticed in that match is that Egu told them not to go through the middle..thats why frank was most time found at the RW..I may be wrong sha The loss is on the coach, not the players. |

I will bet you that in this transfer window Kalvin, Declan and Jude will move to bigger clubs for way more money than Ndidi.
I actually doubt if any serious bid will be made for Ndidi this summer.
A reflection of your performance is in the amount of money and interest that is generated by top clubs wanting to buy you . You know,I was expecting you to be wiser than this. Why must your major basis of comparison be money? Of course, the 3 players you mentioned will command more expensive transfer fees because they are English. Maguire is the most expensive defender currently in EPL but he is probably the worst defender right now. |

But see the bolded. If FB isn't our wahala why then are you positing ending 'beggy beggy' as a way forward. I mean, you just said FBs don't matter but the coach.
However, I trust you believe we must scout for the best legs regardless of where they. P.S Best legs is relative. It's not tied to rating of league alone Bro maybe I was too ambiguous.. For now,Iwobi, Aina, Ekong, Balogun and others...their impact have been great so far. What I'm particularly against is begging players to play for us. Once you approached them first time and they declined. We should respect ourself and move on. If they change their mind then let them contact us. Finito |
