I don't think it was. I've seen Partey beat press even more deadly than tonight's own. I still feel it's travel fatigue due to the international break. When Partey can't give forward pass, can't move, struggle to coordinate the ball, then this is more than workload. It's just him being off-form.

Congrats to Crystal palace tho, they deserved their win and their game plan was perfect
maybe na Naija juju dey work

Your agenda is clear .

Las las komekn still be human being grin
I don dey talk this, no be today.
Our loss that day was all on the coach...
I mean Ighalo,Musa,Osimehn and Sadiq were all on the pitch at one time.
Even if I'm to blame somebody,it'll most likely be Bassey...all he had to do was getting to the byeline and whipping in crosses ...but I won't, because he may be playing to instruction of our tactical coach.
So it's not about that match

How are we not developing our own ?

Iheanacho awoniyi chukwueze osimhen ,Na another country develop these ones nah

We are approaching the best one we can get and so do other african countries .
Andrew... we're not.
When last did we have anything relating to U17 and U20 in Nigeria?
We need to invest the same energy we use in approaching these FBs to invest in our grassroot football too. Our HGs are the foundation of the team, any FBs that wanna play for us should make up his mind.
Look at how fast Plumptre's switch was....
The way Ekong stepped up to take the penalty..
Balogun going to Ghana's dressing room to congratulate them.
Those are the kind of FBs we want not those that are just playing for playing sake or just to boost their career.

Common sense should tell you that you can’t get the quality ones ,the quality ones always wantEd to play for those big countries

If mbappe was average he will play for Cameroon ,if kante was average he will play for Mali ,look at doucoure after waiting for so long and he sees he can’t make the French he is now welcomed at Mali

How many world class Nigerian foreign born do you have there ,I am sure you can’t even mention them

The ebere EZE and Michael Olise you are going for are yet to even play for Nigeria and they aren’t even world class ,billing didn’t play for naija ,Danjuma didn’t play for naija ,we can’t kill ourself oga

Even Tammy self take us do shakara ,I no no the quality ones wey you expect us to get

You are just discriminating those guys and that’s all ,and stop capping .

Our problem Na coaches ,but no you must add foreign born
And common Sense should tell you we need to look inward rather continuously approaching them and getting ridiculed.
Majority of those making up our team today are from our cadet team.
My opinion is simple, let's develop our own.
Show this to your neighbor make Dem explain to you if you can't comprehend

There is no fact in what you said

You are acting as if it’s foreign based players that made your team not to qualify for the World Cup

Ekong aina Balogun bassey are all Nigerians and it’s not any of their fault that naija didn’t qualify for the World Cup

I am sure if most of you here are French you won’t want other nationalities in your team ,especially someone like zuchyblink
your problem is you just make out whatever you like from a post and force down the notion down your throat.
Now tell.me, where did I said they're responsible for our inability to qualify for WC? If it's about the WC,I know how to put it and even give you many instances.

Our problem has always been coaching. The passion won't coverup the incompetence of the coaching crew . You are just picking on innocent people. Even quality get grade. Even in their 'rejected status' they are still better than the home based players. What should be paramount should be the quality of the players. What is the essence of Simon's passion if he is only going to continue to play rubbish for us. The segregation seems kinda offensive. A Nigerian is the same no matter the origin.
All your assertions here are too sentimental oga....
There are some FBs that are just there for international status sake.
For the passion talk, Dem no dey write am for face. I have many instances already.
And you can't sit down at the corner of your room and assert that the rejected FBs are better than HG. No, you don't know that sir.

Open your mind and understand...
You're making it look as if I'm against these guys...no
Iwobi would have made a difference against Ghana and even against Tunisia..
Lookman was our brightest winger against Ghana until Simon came and messed up everything...
The problem is not going after FBs but going after the unwilling ones..
How many times have we approached Eze and Oliseh yet both keep turning us down?
Get better coach and these present crop of players will give you a better performance.

If we're to go for FBs,let it be quality ones and not those that won't even make the reserve team of their original team.

The last Afcon was over nine years ago. Almost no African team hardly had a foreign born player too. This is 2022. Do you think you can beat them with the same squad today? Like Eguavoen, you too are stuck in the past my brother.

Your problem is just ignorance. Senegal and Morocco, have FB players lower rated than Nigeria's foreign born players yet they're doing better.

You didn't answer even one of the questions I asked you.
As for the bolded, how did you find out that?
You're the ignorant one here. And all your questions have been answered but you won't understand then because you already have a particular notion programmed into your mind.
Nothing wrong in having FBs but it should be the quality ones. Packing all these FBs in our team without proper coaching is a waste of time.

As for what you bolded, it's all staring at our face but you won't see.

Alright. Answer my question and don't run away oh. grin grin

We are not the only African teams with FB players.

Why are Cape Verde, Gabon, Morocco, Senegal, etc playing well if FB players are poor in Africahuh

Even our female National team players have been brilliant. They have US born players in the mix too.

Were Onuachu, Sadiq, Uzoho, Iheanacho etc, born abroad toohuh Why didn't they bring their A game?

Oya begin answer cheesy
I'm not disputing the fact that we have been victim of poor coaching and management.
My stand is running after all these half-baked(I call them half-baked cos they couldn't even make the original team) FBs under the guise that we don't have quality player should stop. Our problem is coaching not players.
Running after FBs while we have the homegrown ones is kind of discouraging.
After all, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure there was a single FB in the squad that won our last AFCON.
The bottom line is that these FBs won't give you the level of commitment and passion you want compared to the homegrown players.

Unpopular opinion. I think Messi is not a true Barcelonismo.
I thought man will retire here or go play for a non-European team. Man went to PSG cox they're one of the few teams who could match his salary demands.

Imagine Messi (PSG) against Barca in a champions league final or knock_out stage matcheshuh

He's the greatest player in Barca history & I really hope they give him a proper farewel but he's also mercenary who came to light up the Camp Nou for the right price.
