I know we're all fixated about our national team coaches appointment but the medical personnels of these teams need to be reviewed. We're risking these players health if 'quacks' are the one in charge.

I watched a short clip of Janet twisting her ankle yesterday and shame wear me beret. Two clueless supposedly medics couldn't and didn't do anything to relieve that girl of the pain. They're just standing beside her and beckoning for stretcher. I was not surprised though. Wetin you expect when two 'dokitas' are wearing track suits inside the hot sun.
The injury... Quick recovery to Janet

Deep down, I'm worried about our midfield especially with Merino out injured. It's no wonder we're being linked to Tonali and McTominay.

Rice should please stay fit. He should try and be conserving his energy especially as we don't have a deputy for him.

I thought I was the only one that was alarmed at how openly biased the commentator was in his commentary yesterday .

At some point he even mentioned the possibility of Sunderland coming back from 2 goals down against us .

Martinelli don dey do this thing for like 3 or 4 times now. Don't be surprised to see him make it his celebration. His bromance with Gyokeres allowed him to be selfless and pass the ball instead of trying to shot. I think against leeds or was it after Chelsea first leg, there was a video of him leaning and resting of Gyokeres after the match while the later patted his back.
🤣🤣🤣

He said in the interview that he had to apologize to Gyokeres for stealing his goal and that since he has paid him back with 2 goals, Gyokeres should return one.

It's Trossard that's leaning on Gyokeres.

Man Utd's Michael Carrick on his way to making it 4 wins in a row. Something Ruben Amorim never did.

Ruben is a fine tactician and coach but his problem was how stubbornly set in his ways, he was. He was not willing to adapt tactically to change things for the better. Unlike Carrick, Amorim chose to keep repeating a system that just was not working.

The lesson: One may be a good coach/tactician but if you are not adaptable enough to adjust tactics to the strengths of your team profile, then you limit your growth as a coach.
unfortunately, he is going to win the manager of the month. 🤣🤣

That last run by Martinello, how i wish he had crossed the ball to Gyokeres instead of shooting. A hat trick for Gyokeres would have sent me over the moon. Anyway, nothing spoil.

A 4.5 star display today. Yea, 4.5 because the way Sunderland played us before the second goal eh.

Rice is Rice! A work horse. Midfield generalissimo. Comparing him to that shin kicker is a big blasphemy.

Saliba had a game he wouldn't forget easily today. I thought Lukaku was bullish but Bobby abi na Brobby na proper 'bullish' striker. I wonder why he didn't play rugby instead.

Excellent pre assist from Norgaard.

All in all, so happy with clean sheet. Now Liverpool can do whatever they wish tomorrow.

The rules were adjusted at the start of season to allow players to appear for more than one club in the League (Carabao) Cup competition if the said player(s)' transfer was before the semi-final 1st leg.

Semi 1st leg of Carabao was Jan 14, 2026.

Semenyo arrived Jan 9 (before Semis 1st leg so Eligible).

Guehi arrived Jan 19 (5 days after the semis 1st leg so ineligible).

Finito.

I felt for him during the celebration, he was breathing heavily on the dashboard. Man ran his lungs out despite the fact that it was the 96th minute.

Kudos to Martinelli too. That last minute run took a whole lot from them.

He is injured. Arteta said he felt something during the Leeds game but he should be fine. Probably on Saturday, we will see him.

I have noticed that we do well if we play on Saturday and our closest rival (Man city this year and Loserpool last year) plays on Sunday. We do better when we don't play under pressure of "must win" because our closest rival dropped point yesterday.

If u notice well, u will see most of the matches we've dropped point to increase the gap at the top this season, they have mostly been matches City has played earlier and have gotten either a draw or loss.

I think because of the desire to prove doubters wrong and all, we become nervous in matches that we should easily win and the pressure gets to not just the players but the coaching crew making us to carve under weight of the pressure.

However, I have a strong believe that this year will be different. Something tells me that once we win something tangible this year, we would actually dominate the league for a long time. We just need to keep pushing and win something this season. Seeing players like Rice , Saliba, etc being vocal about their desire for the team to win something this season gives a very high level of confidence.

Hopefully we win Sunderland on Saturday and pass the pressure back to City to battle it out with Loserpool on Sunday and let's see where that leaves us.
You're right. I've noticed it too. What makes it worse is that the pressure gets to Arteta as well. He's usually hyper active and somewhat jittery on the touchline.

And for the bolded, the first time after a long while is usually hard. Most time, the table is always close. I think City had to score a late goal against QPR then to win it for first time. I stand to be corrected
