BlueRayDick: That was why I said it loud and clear the other day that they are only angry because arsenal has been more effective at scoring those cornerkicks than any other team.
The date available showed most big teams are not far off arsenal as far as scoring corner kick goals are concerned. Arsenal vs Chelsea first leg gbey scored a corner kick against us and in the build up to that corner Enzo was clearly hassling Raya to unsettle him shortly before Chalobah nods the ball home.
A team that does that does not have any moral to be complaining about arsenal players putting the ball behind the net following a goal mouth scramble.
What you see in most of their complaints is admiration turned to hate.
I understand some arsenal fans not being happy we struggle to score at times and have to rely on corners for breakthrough, but sincerely I do not appreciate arsenal fans who join rival fans to troll their own club with that corner kick goal diss. Yesterday when we scored 2 goals from Corner/set piece now, none of our fans said they will not celebrate because the goals resulted from Corner kicks. So I wonder why they would always join rivals to troll their own clubs when the chips are down.
E no just dey normal to do. They're just bitter. If we win the league, they won't write 'won by corners' there. Funny thing is most of these rival clubs sometimes copy Arsenal during corner kicks too. I've seen their players do the back post run ours usually did. Las las dem go dey alright |

Excellent response from the boy today. I'm really worried about Saka's injury. Hopefully he's back soon.
The Gyokeres I saw today is the Gyokeres I've always wanted to see. I needed him to unlock his 'bossy', 'arrogant' and 'bully' self and he is already on the way.
Odegaard showed small improvement. I con dey wonder if na the say Odegaard dey give through passes.

Fkforyou:

I just tire for the guy. Imagine if his final ball were on point, he would have easily won man of the match because the baba cook those defenders. If Madueke can improve his decision making, he would be up there with the best wingers of the game. Athletic, a good dribbler, can go inside and outside of a defender. His problem is his decision making. His matter be like when person fart inside your mouth con pour salt. Fart, you no fit lick. Salt, you no fit spit out. |

Fkforyou: Our First half was fast and Direct. The moment Odegaard came in, penetrative passes through the middle reduced and we kept hanging on the ball and slowed down very well.
It’s very obvious who the cause of it was, the coach must surely see this.
Anyway, as predicted, Kai won MOTM.
I would like to see more of Norgaard, especially in the premier league. He can come good unexpectedly you know.
Madueke is one hell of a funny guy, quick footed but slow in thinking and execution. Such a wierd combo. Him, Martinelli and Jesus were the major culprit of chances wasted yesterday. There was a ball he sent to Obalende yesterday. A properly worked corner kick. He arrived inside the box and decided na one innocent bird he wan kpai. Weird guy. |

SymphonyRad: Both teams got off to easy, literally a slap on the wrist... Because Morocco is involved. CAF wouldn't want to impose heavy punishment on Morocco. If they fine Senegal heavily and impose a light punishment on Morocco, there will be outrage. They wouldn't want the world to see them as being partial. |

Viktor Gyökeres: "I think we started well, apart from the penalty that we gave away, and then yeah, I think we scored some nice goals, created some good opportunities to score even more,".
"Then I think we could've done much better in the second half. We weren't playing as fast and as direct as in the first half, and yeah, I think that's why we didn't score in the second half."
Gyökeres on scoring: "It's a great feeling to score goals, and to help the team," he added. "I think we could've performed better overall in the game, but of course I'm always happy with scoring.
"It was great to have Kai back, and he performed great this game, even though he only played 45, so yeah, it went really well, I think."
"I think the Inter game was great, and I think Atletico Madrid at home, one of those [would be my highlight].
"It's always fun when you come to the knockout phase, and to get closer to where we want to end in this tournament, so it's exciting times."

I really didn't want to say much about yesterday's match because it's against Kairat. However, I was disappointed at the two goals we conceded. Calafiori gifting them a PK and Kepa fluffing his lines.
It's really suiting seeing Havertz back and sharp. His combo with Gyokeres looks ravishing. Maybe Eze on the left and Havertz in midfield will unlock our goal bank. Maybe. Or Arteta should risk it all and play Havertz and Eze as double 8s with Rice behind them.
Norgaard needs to play more. I like his sharp and incisive passes. He should have bagged an assist yesterday if VAR people were not asleep (Yes).
Gabriel Jesus keeps reminding us why we shouldn't get too emotionally attached to him. He should be off to Saudi or Brazil and make way for Alvarez (maybe).
I can't wait for weekend to come. Let's see how they respond in EPL |
