Can I ask about Mesut Ozil? I know this is a topic you’re
probably getting quite tired of discussing but once more he
was not in the match-day squad. What does he have to
prove to you to get back into contention?

I am really happy with the performance of the players here,
how difficult they are making things for the coaching staff to
select the squad

Just again on Mesut, I know you don’t like answering
questions, but as a player who started every Premier
League game under you before lockdown but since then
hasn’t kicked a ball for the club, just what has changed?

The team is evolving and you can see the level they are
achieving, so this is where we are at at the moment. We
want to evolve more, play better and compete better, so we
need to keep maintaining that trend

You just believe other players are better suited to the way
you’re playing?

Well, we are picking the players that we believe are the best
for each game and as you can see, we keep changing, so
this is what we are trying to do

Sorry to go back to Mesut again, but you said the team’s
evolving, do you mean the team is evolving in a way which
doesn’t include Mesut? That you’re moving away from that
era?

You can see that the players that we are changing and
using every week, that it is very difficult – not just for Mesut
but the rest of the players – for some to make the squad.
Every week, we try to pick the right players.
I understand that, but there were loads of changes today

it’s a Carabao Cup game. If Mesut’s not going to be
involved in this one then it’s tough to see him being
involved again for the final year of his contract, isn’t it?

It is difficult for others as well who weren’t involved in the
Premier League and they didn’t play tonight either. We have
a squad of 26, 27 players at the moment and we cannot
give all of them playing time

Can you understand why every time he’s not in the squad,
fans are so confused by situation … can you understand
that?

Of course I understand, I respect your questions guys but I
have to try to do my job as fair as possible and pick the
players that, in my opinion, are in a better condition to play

Add Fabinho,Jorginho,Rodri,etc....

Even Mikel managed just 1 goal and 11 assists in the premier league throughout his career as a DM for Chelsea,Ndidi has scored 6 and assisted 6 already!
Some people keep saying he hasn't done well for the super eagles, but the stats say otherwise...the same good stats he churns out at club level is the same one he does for the national team...
Maybe it is until he learns to dribble and nutmeg players that they will finally appreciate him..
Lolz... he wants a combination of KDB, Fabregas and Iniesta as a DM

You didn't answer my question the other day,so I will ask you again. "What are the primary functions of a defensive midfielder"?
Another additional question, "mention at least 2 defensive midfielders that are well known for contributing to their team's offensive play in terms of goals, assists and chance created"..

Maybe if u answer the question,we will get a clearer picture of why you want Ndidi out of the team.. All this talk about Azubuike and Agu being better than him is pure nonsense!
You get time.

Partey

Casemiro

Mascherano

makelele

How many goals and assists can we attributed to these guys? But they get recognized by just simply doing their defensive job.

Xhaka and Partey can't compete as they have opposite feet. Rather it would be Xhaka against Aouar, and that is if either is not playing central.

And please forget ESR, we have passed his level unless he turn to KDB overnight
Partey will need back up ..he can't play every match.
Also their partnership will kind of be too defensive.

You have seen well. He is an Alcantara type but mostly deployed on the left of midfield.

If both deals are done, we will have

Aouar and Xhaka vying for one or two slots while Partey, Ceballos and Elneny for one or two slots in a midfield three.

Aouar, Xhaka= LCM and/or CM
Partey, Ceballos, Elneny = RCM and/or CM

Most preferably...

Aouar ................... Ceballos
................ Partey.................
Taking everything into context, Partey and Xhaka will be competing, El neny and Ceballos and maybe Saka,ESR (if no loan) and Aoura .
Although, I'm not ruling out the likelihood of xhaka and Partey playing together.

Somebody asked you to tell us what Adegbenro did extraordinarily, you jumped pass.

You hardly follow this guy up

The guy is good abeg

Hardly gets sub in Rosenberg

Yes, they were left out because Rohr wants to try new guys

Or you think if a competition like the AFCON Is on ,Rohr would leave these guys you mentioned?

Not that this guys are even superb..... Even Henry hasn't found that playing rhythm he once had

So, Rohr should look into calling Samuel.
There is a saying that form is temporary, class is permanent. If Onyekuru finally find his rhythm, we all know he is capable to give the wingers ahead a serious competition and may even displace them. Trust me, majority of us here have heard about Adegbenro. But let me be honest with you, he won't get call up from that league unless he move to a better one.

Dennis was invited at one time

Rosenberg isn't bad

Players that plays in Slovakia league... Belgium league... Even get called up

But you have a problem with a player that plays for Rosenberg

I don't know what the problem could be, but,I don't think it is because he plays for Rosenberg
Seriously, oya tell us one winger from our current squad that Adegbenro is better than.
It is your argument that is baseless considering players like Maja, Henry, Okereke and Dennis were left out.
If your Adegbenro want to get call up,he should move to a decent league.
