A teenage girl with an unusual obsession with snakes was stabbed in her breasts by her boyfriend as he was high on drugs.

Leah Marie Adams, 19 years old, was at her apartment with her boyfriend Baily Powell on Saturday night. Mr. Powell had consumed four drops of the psychedelic drug LSD.

The girl attempted to break up with Mr. Powell, which caused the young man to have an extreme “paranoid reaction” to the drugs. As Mr. Powell attempted to leave the apartment, a fight ensued, in which he used a knife to stab the teen girl in her breasts.

Leah Marie Adams was known to her thousands of fans on social media for being very fond of large snakes. She shared images of herself playing with the slithering creatures.

The 19-year-old girl posted photos of snakes coiled across her chest, and even took pictures of a pair of snakes wrapped around her neck. Leah Marie Adams said to fans on social media that she “loved the feeling” of large snakes touching her body.

According to testimony, on Saturday night, the snake-loving girl was at her apartment with her boyfriend Baily Powell, who had taken four doses of LSD.

When the girl told Mr. Powell that she wanted to break up with him, he had a "paranoid reaction" from his drug use. He went outside and sat behind the wheel of a car.

For unknown reasons, Leah Marie Adams ran outside and tried to stop Mr. Powell from leaving in the car. According to witnesses, the girl stood at the driver’s side and tried to open the door. She was screaming at Mr. Powell to “Get out of the car.”

The snake-obsessed teen then “fell into the car” with her upper body hanging into the driver’s side of the vehicle. The car sped away, dragging the girl’s feet down the road.

The young girl recklessly grabbed the wheel of the car as Mr. Powell drove, causing it to swerve erratically on the road. These events were “highly distressing” for the man in his drug-induced paranoid state.

Apparently fearing for his life, Mr. Powell pulled out a Kershaw tactical folding knife that he kept in the center console of the car. With the knife, he stabbed Leah Marie Adams in her left breast.

Then he stabbed the teen again, this time thrusting his blade into the girl’s right breast.

The 19-year-old girl screamed and fell out of the car, landing in the road.

Witness Randy Kroner, a retired sailor, saw Leah Marie Adams on her hands and knees in the street, struggling to stand. The injured teen was clutching at her bleeding breasts.

Mr. Kroner reached the girl and laid her down in the road on her side so she wouldn’t aspirate blood. The teenager lay in a pool of her own blood, screaming and bleeding.

Mr. Kroner attempted to stop the flow of blood by applying pressure to the girl’s chest with his hands. But he could hear the 19-year-old “choking on her own blood,” he told investigators.

“I kept telling her, ‘Stay with me,’” Mr. Kroner said. But the young snake-lover was fading fast.

“All I could do was comfort her,” said the 61-year-old maritime man. “I held her head in my lap and stroked her hair as she slipped away.”

At the hospital, the police detective examined the dead body of Leah Marie Adams. There were two stab wounds to her chest — one on the right side, the other on the left.

Mr. Powell was apprehended. At trial, he was found guilty of stabbing the 19-year-old girl, and was sentenced to 16 years in jail.

His sentence was reduced on account of the unusual circumstances that led to him stabbing the young girl.

Fans of the teenager and her snake-related content posted condolences on social media. “R.I.P. Leah, you are very pretty, you didn’t deserve that,” one person wrote.
