Thanks for your comment,

Is getting an accommodation necessary when applying for Visa.

I was told by the sch i am applying to that i should get my VISA first before getting accommodation.

@newacca

Nice post on this it helps to clarify some things i wanted to ask

@caryourday,
Embassy do look look out for both history and balance. The history indicates the account is alive and transaction is operated on it often,while the balance must be sufficient to cover ur tuition and other living expenses for @ least 1year and after d deduction of all these expenses it must remain reasonable balance. Putting urself in position of visa officer,it's unreasonable to spend all d current balance in ur acct.
Tax clearance is need to calculate your sponsor's income and his responsibility as a good citizen. If he doesn't have it,I suggest he explain. In my case,I cannot get Tax clearance 4rm IRS,I only got VAT Tax.ID.Number from FRIS and @ interview,I explained to the Visa Officer that Nigerian taxation systm is bad&unreliable. This is a known fact to embassies/Visa officers. It's better not to produce it than producing fake one.

In My Schl Entrepreneurial Studies is part of our curriculum from 100 Level till u grad

The problem in Nigeria is Bad Electricity, Road and Security. For this Entrepreneurial Skills To Survive

The Government should encourage it but should not say lack of it is the cause of our problem

They should provide facilities that encourage people to be self dependent.

@newacca Thx for your respond

I am currently in my Final Year studies in Covet University studying computer Science.

Seeking a diploma in Information Technology: Internet Application Development

I Got this mail from the sch
Average yearly cost for this program is around $16,780 (may vary a bit). You will need to show you have at least $16,780/year plus or for 2 year study the cost is approximately double the cost, or $33,560.
If you cannot show the Canadian Embassy that you have this amount of money, your visa application may not be approved

Do i have to have this money in my Personal acct or my sponsor acct

Facebook IPO: $5 Billion Filing to Sell Stock

Facebook, in one of the world's most widely anticipated IPOs, or initial public offerings of stock, filed papers this afternoon to raise at least $5 billion and begin to sell stock this spring.

The filing was made online with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington. If all goes as planned, it will likely take until May for Facebook stock to begin trading on a stock exchange.

"There is a huge need and a huge opportunity to get everyone in the world connected, to give everyone a voice and to help transform society for the future," said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, in a letter that accompanied the filing. "The scale of the technology and infrastructure that must be built is unprecedented, and we believe this is the most important problem we can focus on.

"We hope to strengthen how people relate to each other," he said.

Zuckerberg, now 27, famously started Facebook when he was a student at Harvard University in 2004. Today, it has more than 800 million active users, and Zuckerberg said they have made more than 100 billion connections with each other.

LETTER FROM MARK ZUCKERBERG

Facebook was not originally created to be a company. It was built to accomplish a social mission — to make the world more open and connected.

We think it’s important that everyone who invests in Facebook understands what this mission means to us, how we make decisions and why we do the things we do. I will try to outline our approach in this letter.

At Facebook, we’re inspired by technologies that have revolutionized how people spread and consume information. We often talk about inventions like the printing press and the television — by simply making communication more efficient, they led to a complete transformation of many important parts of society. They gave more people a voice. They encouraged progress. They changed the way society was organized. They brought us closer together.

Today, our society has reached another tipping point. We live at a moment when the majority of people in the world have access to the internet or mobile phones — the raw tools necessary to start sharing what they’re thinking, feeling and doing with whomever they want. Facebook aspires to build the services that give people the power to share and help them once again transform many of our core institutions and industries.

There is a huge need and a huge opportunity to get everyone in the world connected, to give everyone a voice and to help transform society for the future. The scale of the technology and infrastructure that must be built is unprecedented, and we believe this is the most important problem we can focus on.

We hope to strengthen how people relate to each other.

CyberG:

I remember the last time something exactly happened and the gory pictures! What a waste! People from the East, West, North and elsewhere are dead and affected because the people have refused to hold their leaders accountable but fight on their race, tribe, quota system and who should take over another part of the country! Too bad, this might not be the last because people have been blinded by corruption and tribalism rather than focus on demanding accountability from leaders at every level.

You are so so right, We fight for stupid and crazy things like, Religion, tribalism. Instead of blaming the government for there lack of incompetence.

Someone that Goes to Covenant University should verify this source,

But i shall give you the facts that i know

1 - D'BANJ Parents are Deacons at Winners Chapel - this is a FACT!!!

2 - D'BANJ attended Winners as a child (Parents brought him up in that church)

3 - D'BANJ was a member of Winner chapel choir/Music Team

4 - D'BANJ backslide from the LORD and decided to sing secular music (This is a fact)

IF THE STORY IS TRUE THATS THE ONLY REASON WHY HE COULD GO TO THE YOUTH CONFERENCE
@ WINNERS CHAPEL TO PERFORM IN ANY MANNER,

Yes All What U Said is True,
But D'banj as never been invited to perform in Canaan Land-- Covenant University Or For Any Youth Conference ,
He only come up stage that was about 4 years ago to give a testimony nothing more,
I don't know why people exaggerate stories

If my fellow student are receiving warning letters from my school for listing to secular music why will dey invite the dude a secular singer,
