i turned back and told them straight away. she is not as fine as you guys said it. una f**k up ooo.

she looked at me and just hissed and walked away, we all laughed and went away.

few weeks later i was eating at a cafeteria one day and i saw 3 people coming towards me.

Two was familiar faces and the 3rd was new. Titi and Moji were coming with a lady i dont know. i greeted them and they too a sit in front of me. it was then i noticed the 3rd Lady was Debby. she didnt answer as i greeted. she had her earpiece on. i trued again and she just hissed and i continued my food.

i and the remaining two ladies talked abit and i paid for their food before leaving.

two days later i was at the same joint, i just heard a soft voice, close to me, thank you for the other day. i didn't know who it was so i just assumed it was not for me. the lady sits in front of me and repeat it and i looked up and it was Debby. i smiled and answered her and apologized for the way i acted on our first meeting.

we laughed about it and i asked of her friends and she just gave me an excuse i cant remember.

i paid for her food and left. we continue to meet at the cafeteria for weeks, i got used to her company, i already know the tone she comes alone and sometimes with her friends.

we exchanged for numbers and that's how it started.
i call her whenever i am going to the cafe, and she calls me too, i will even skip lectures anytime she calls.

within 5 weeks, it was obvious, we are now close friends. anywhere you see me, she will be around me, whenever we are lecture free, if my phone is off, just call Debby and you will find me there...

hmmmm

Now if you have any relatives or friend that is a corper, awaiting corper or fresh corper please tell them, warn them very well to know the kind of school he or she will agree to stay and the subjects to teach.

if you study political science and you are asked to teach Accounts or Maths. bro run, na trap ooo. you will only make a fool of your self in front of the students. remember we all have that one lecturer that seem not to know is onions well. how do you look at them, yours will be worse.

Now imagine you studied Accounting and you are asked to teach SS1-3 Mathematics. i hate trigonometry and longitude and latitude things.

you studied chemical engineering and you are asked to teach Biology. May god help you.

Marketing asked to teach geography
Botany asked to teach basic technology
computer science asked to teach business studies
or the worse, some will tell you their staffs are complete but if you can drive, they are short of drivers for school buses. (God punish devil). are you still waiting there? Are you a learner?

now i will advice you to write down 3 different subjects you will and can teach conveniently (with textbooks) while in camp. to avoid embarrassment or dead end after camp. you will be so carried away that you will accept any thing.

some schools give out free accommodations but if you don't ask or insist they will not mention it.

some school pay as much as 30,000 naira extra to corps members while some pay as low as -5,000 naira extra monthly salary. yea the minus sign because they will not pay you and you will still transport yourself everyday out of you Nysc allowance (19,800). always ask and insist (public schools are not mandated to but some pay) . if you are not satisfied. you can get a better alternative then ask for a rejection letter (wisely and calmly) because your expectations do not match their offer.

some schools can be very rigid and strict with rules.
have heard a lot of funny and crazy rules. Naija people and their way....

i will also tell you a small secret about the schools and how to reject any school you are given.

i am not a good writer and i am not perfect so please pardon my faults and mistakes.

i was in my 200 level first semester, in the hostel with my friends gisting about issues and other crazy guys stuffs. mostly about girls and sports. i and Olumide beats them in sports but inexperienced with many girls.

Olumide was the first to mention he saw a very fine jambite in school the laay week but couldn't approach her. blah blah blah...

we laughed as he explained further, he mention her department and described her and alas, 4 of them knows this mysterious beautiful lady except me, was i missing in school any day?
No... i think not.
but how come i missed seeing such a pretty lady that could make my Casanova friends speak well of her. from their description and exaggerations, i had Ashanti, Alisha keyz or Beyonce picture in my head.

i said to them i must see the girl., they went on to plan on who and how to get the girl, we all agreed that Seun should do the job, he is good with girls.

Few days later, i was sitting at around the school compound, somewhere close to my faculty, then Olumide winked at me, i looked but i didn't see anything odd or different, suddenly, Olu hit me on my chest and said that's the girl, i asked which girl and he said the Debby girl na.

oh i remember, i rushed towards her as she was already few steps ahead and the guys followed me at the wanting to know my intentions, she had her ear piece in both ears and a grey bag strap on her shoulder, average height. when i got to her side, i just bent a little and check her face, she saw me and stopped, looked up and removed her earpiece and gave me the surprise and WTF look, i turned back at the guys and i said.......

I am one of the few that believe there is no real /true love... it only exist in the movies....

i will like to tell you about the story, from the beginning (i swear)... but right now i need your honest advice.....

Yeah... i loved her, that's what we thought. now she is getting married to someone else and i cant do anything about it. Yea i wish its not like that.

i need your advice.....

My ex-complicated girlfriend, called me telling me about her marriage and i felt i have no business going there...
Now her friends told me 4 days to the wedding that she is looking forward to see me at the most important day of her life...

4 days and i have not bought the Aso Ebi, i have not called her to tell her i cant make it to her wedding and and i don't want to disappoint her... she invited me.

should i call her telling her i wont be able to make it, not call her and don't go or borrow money from anywhere buy the cloth and go to the wedding..

3 things are important here...

i don't have a job (no money)

and i am not sure i wont break down into tears if i see her walking away with another man.

she and her friends (my friends too) might never forgive me.

i think i can use your words of advice.

then i will tell you about my story after this saga ends.

On getting to camp, the next 72hours will be a new world a new realm and a new stress entirely. manage, the lord will see you through.

if you dont get your NYSC kits within 6 hours of getting to camp. check your call up letter again if you are in the right camp at the right time. By Nysc kits i am referring to the crested vest, socks and your kacki (adjustable) up and down, with face cap and belt. white shirts and pants. you will be given two different shoes, jungle boot and white tennis. if you are lucky it will be oversized and if you are not it will be smaller size. some actually get their ideal size. so all you need is check your size and if its not wat you expect, the search begins.

you will need to go throw all the camp hostels, and search for another corps member with your size and needs the size you are holding (trade-by-barter). it might be kinda stressful, just pray its not in the rain.

test every material given to you before pushing them down your bag. ok lets continue.

don't be scared ooo, its all fun. once you survive the first 72hours in camp without headache, then you are good to go. the languages in camp is always "double up" "if you are walking you are wrong". etc

please take note of your hostel, most of them look alike as you will be expected to locate them late in the night. if you do mistake enter opposite sex hostel, hmmm.

you will be given a kitchen card, please i beg you, keep it very well ooo, even if you are not using it, trust me it will be useful in the days ahead.

prepare yourself for September, you wont be in camp November because of the Muslim festival coming up around that time. its always 3 months after the fasting, which should end by July

If you are reading this, then you must either be a corper or a prospective corper or you just love to read.

i won't bore you with stories so lets go straight to the point.

WARNING WARNING WARNING

All corps members serving in Nigeria. please ignore if you are not serving in Nigeria.

First of all, 2 days before your departure to camp, make sure you have a list of all you will be needing and tick them. most of the list are not comprehensive, the best is to prepare for a jungle trip (Guilder ultimate search) and don't forget your touch light.

Try not to go with any Nysc property, don't collect from previous White fowl. you will be given yours when you get to camp.

Calculate your trip and add additional 2-3 hours to your journey, traffic and flat tire etc. we are in Nigeria. Except you are going by air.

if you have any reason to redeploy from your state of camping, go along with with your evidence. ( mostly AUTHENTIC medical report with reasons you need to be sent back and Marriage certificate). you can also use long leg. its allowed.

make sure you get to your camp destination before 6-7pm, it will make your settlement in the camp easier.

If you have made any friends from online or school, make sure you get your bed space before you start calling anyone. its very important you get your choice.

Once you get checked in at the gate. you make your way to the hostel as quick as possible and drop your bag on your choice of bunk and dash to get your mattress. (get a clean one if you can).
For few people that love to get to camp a day b4 the official date. you wont need to rush at that but its still the same process.

While in camp, you must have forgotten you will need pegs for your cloths, Comb, some will even forget toothpaste etc you can borrow, please don't steal. go with your Bible or Quran even if you don't need it.

spend wisely, and have all the fun you can. don't over stress your nerves, NYSC is not liable for any injury oooo

Snap as many pictures you can pay for. and visit Mammi few nights, even if its just to see whats happening there.

try not to be too spirikoko and don't be over joyous. be normal and free.

dont forget church service on Sundays and Jumat on Fridays.

you will be paid 3 times, one at the end of every week (3 weeks) 1k, 1.5k and 19.8k respectively. (safe for the dry season).

there are some guild lines you need to follow after camp, we will get there,
Tuesdays are important for corps members in camp, as activities starts on Tuesday morning and you are expected to leave on a Tuesday morning (Under normal circumstances).

to be continued...

You can share your memorable camp/Nysc experience with us.

Nairaland / General / Whats Your Story..... Nothing Last Forever. by Mouth123(m): 12:03am On Jun 01, 2015
Hi....... My name is Mouth

NOTHING LASTS FOREVER ..

This might help someone, just some one to make a decision at this moment. a lot of decisions have been made and when we look back, we regret our choices.

"if i had known better"

See....I vividly recall the story of a man who became
popular for engaging in money rituals just to buy
the 80's edition of the Honda Prelude; you wouldn't
buy that car for 50k today.
A guy brutally murdered his brother, just because
he wanted to acquire the rave of the moment -
Pathfinder Jeep. That same vehicle is now better
described as a coffin....
I remember as a kid, my whole street gathered at a
neighbor's house to watch a "drama" shown on a
"double-door black & white television". Today
there is plasma television and its almost found in
every student's room.....

Some ladies left their true loves because some rich
guy then persuaded them with a Benz 190, which
turned out to be the only car they ever owned till
date. They found out too late that true love is
invaluable (if it exist)..... Today it will take more than a Bentley or G-wagon to win a lady, what will it be in 10 years from now. hopefully it will be a car named after me. "Baby i just bought you Mouth H20"

What about Santana, Mercedes Benz V boot, 505 & 504 Evolution, Toyota Crown? its being long i saw a Daewoo or BMW (be my wife)... All overtaken by latest
models of Honda, Bugatti, Bentley, X6, Acura and
Infinity....
A guy declared drinks because he launched the
Nokia-3310 phone in 2002. Today that phone
would embarrass the owner and is a joke
compared to the low cost and everyday phones.... do you still remember that small blue round face Motorola?
What about the MTN SIM card that many people
went extra miles, once selling for over 30k, with a big CD like case, today all networks are begging people to even take their sim cards for free (in papers)... My MTEL SIM did cost me a lot but was cheaper #wink#

People are still making the most horrific sacrifices
over 'vanity' and make enemies over worthless
material things. What can I say?

Look back at that one thing you want to kill or die for today, and see what becomes of it tomorrow.

your favourite shoes 4 years ago, where is it today?
your best outfit 7 years ago will pass for a rag now.

There is absolutely nothing you can't achieve. All
you need is a little time and PATIENCE and you
would thank God without regrets. There is actually
nothing in this world that is worth going to Hell for,
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! SO TAKE IT EASY!

What ever you decide today, the future will be waiting for you

Politics / How It Finished: Final Outcome Of The Election GMB WINS by Mouth123(m): 1:34am On Mar 31, 2015
I am not a prophet ooo, i am just a normal guy with dirty room.

4 days ago, i was tipsy, Yes on the eve of the Saturday election, i had a flash through of the outcome of the election.

Now this might be as a result of my thoughts, before going to bed naked that night, because the winner is yet to be announced by INEC, but i trust my instinct and so i will like to share what i saw in my dream.

Lagos, Ondo, Plateau and FCT might be a close call unlike you all expect it to be

Rivers, Enugu and Bayelsa might be a clean slate for PDP

WHILE.........

Kaduna, Kano, Yobe, Kastina and Borno might be APC domain

Other states will decide the margin, watch out for Niger and

Imo state might be a shocker to all but its not real.

After the whole process, i saw myself taking pictures with GEJ and uploaded them on a social media and i saw

"Chilling with the Former President of Nigeria GEJ"
