According to reports, some men in army uniform from Lokoja allegedly ambushed senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye in Kogi state. The men were said to have shot at his G-wagon during the alleged attack. The road leading to Yagba East Local Government was also blocked with a caterpillar as the people prevented the senator from entering the town for further commissioning of projects.

The attack is coming after some unidentified political thugs made their intention known through an unsigned pamphlet distributed at the naming ceremony of the child of the Lokoja administrator, Hon. Shiru Lawal, said Kogi State was a no go area for the Senator.

The pamphlet which strictlly warned the senator not to enter the state to commission projects, read thus, “Dino don’t patronize Kogi.“Stay away else, you have yourself to blame. Save yourself and remain where you are, keep off from our land.

A Nigerian Doctor identified as Etin-Osa Imagbenikaro has laughed off the arm sling and neck collar worn by Governor Fayose after he accused operatives of the Nigeria Police Force of beating him up.

She has insinuated that Fayose’s claims of being attacked by the security operatives might be false.

According to reports, the married man left his village and journeyed to Amokwe to meet with his ex who is now a married woman. But neighbours alerted the womana’s husband and the couple were caught having sex in the woman’s matrimonial home.

The main suspect in the Ex-Deputy Governor’s daughter murder has made a confession, mentioning two other accomplices that partook in the killing of Khadijat.

The main suspect, Adeyemi Alao, who made this confession during his parade by the Ondo State Police Command in Akure, the state capital, said the two other suspects took to their heels after killing the final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.

Explaining how the young lady was murdered, Adeyemi said her girlfriend of eight years was killed by the other two suspects but he dug the grave inside his room where the girl was buried.

Giving the graphic details, Adeyemi said “Khadijat was my girlfriend since 2010 and she visited me to help her in writing her final project in school. She slept in my place on Thursday and left on Friday the following day.
