The unfortunate news, about the demise of Ras Kimono’s wife, Efemena Okedi broke yesterday, at about 2pm… and according to multiple reports, Efe died in the early hours of yesterday, Sunday, at her home in Magodo, Lagos state.

Speaking on how she died,

“Efe went for an event on Saturday September 22nd and returned home complaining of chest pain. The pain lingered till the next morning. She slumped and died in the house before she could be rushed to the hospital” the family member said told LIB.

A young boy’s police phobia has got him arrested in Lagos.

According to reports, the 13 years old boy, who is the head boy of his school, was fetching water from a well in front of their house, today, when he sighted some riot policemen at Itafaji, Lagos Island.

However, due to his phobia for the police, he ran inside and that was his offense, as the officers who were called in to intervene in an ongoing riot in the area, went inside the house and arrested him.

According to them, he is part of the rioters and that was why he fled. All attempts by residents to make the officers realise that the boy is underage, fell on deaf ears, as they went away with him and his mum.

According to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, the Buhari-led government has moved 10 million Nigerians out of poverty.

Udoma stated this today, while speaking on arrangements for the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES#24) which held at the conference room of the ministry in Abuja.

He said millions of Nigerian youths, women and children have been empowered. And that capital provisions for agriculture have been raised to eliminate hunger and increase food security.

The jinx of academics reward was broken recently, when a medical student at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, ABUAD, Miss Esther Adaobi Azom was rewarded with a N5.7million brand new car and over a million naira cash for her academic performance.

The youngster, whose life epitomized success became the cynosure of all eyes when it was disclosed during the induction of 34 medical doctors of ABUAD that she maintained distinctions throughout her stay in the university.

Azom, 24 who was admitted to read medicine in 2011/2012 academic session maintained distinctions in all her courses from 100 Level to 500 Level. She also set an academic standard that would be difficult for incoming medical students to match as, she obtained distinctions in Surgery, Medicine and Community Medicine in the final MBBS examinations. With this academics feat, Esther unarguably became the best graduating medical student of the institution.
