presiade: That one is serious o, though I never experienced such, but it's going to be catastrophic if they don't resolve the matter immediately. Imagine you selling someones valued stocks and vice versa... Eh, yawa go gas o.
That used to be normal when you log into cscs online in the evening. But they've corrected it since the launch of their new site.

UkwuAmu: Bros are you for real or you are joking ? Abeg free Oga agbalowo. Nothing the guy do. This is exactly what I said in my first post about not knowing what you are doing in the market . The so called Oga was so magnanimous that a few post ago he gave some wonderful picks which I am sure he must have reviewed again after seeing a couple of results today . He saw a wonderful opportunity and he plugged in and you are paranoid because he did no tell you when he was buying . How far na? If only you took time to ask him how he does his picks , you wont be mad that he is buying as you would have seen the opportunity too . However you seem to be more interested in somebody who will tell you to buy honeywell because there is something in the pipeline or buy Nestle because there will soon be a major acquisition . Even if the person is kind enough to let you know when he is buying, how would you know when to sell. There are some firebrand Ogas in this forum who know their stuff very well and even when they are dining with cowboys, they do it with very long spoon . If you try and have a rational discussion on stock picks, the next thing is people will be wishing bad because they think you are trying to talk down the stock . Oando to Eterna to Transcorp to Skyebank to Sterling just name it . Why are you buying apart from rumours about some supposed inside information? Why do you buy a stock? If you buy because other people are buying, you have a problem but if you buy a one Naira stock for fifty kobo then you know what you are doing. How do you do that? They are various parameters you use and by the time you include the necessary discount while making your valuation thereby incorporating a very wide safety of margin, chances are you will never go wrong . Abeg make una no dey make me write long essay . Feel free to ask any questions . Do not ask me what to buy if you are not ready to hold for a minimum of at least 2 years or more. If you can turn over the money that quickly good luck but when it goes wrong be kind enough to let us know you were burnt too
You deserve an e-hug for this wonderful piece. I won't be surprised if you're bashed left, right and center. That's why a popular finance/investment blog writer called investment forums herd mentality. People will only announce after they're done buying or selling.

When folks here give stock picks and put Caveat emptor at the end (for due diligence) means you should know how to value stocks.
The link below from investopedia would help people to understand this DUE DILIGENCE.

myjoy08: Sir, identifying a winning stocks in the market is what is rest assured to boost one strategy. For your information, one of the winning stocks in this year is OANDO. I don't want to go into history or analysis of what ought not to be, i rather advice that people should focus on their winning mentality and stronghold.
Why not tell us so we can learn.

Is that not why we're all here?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mpi210: 2:24pm On Jul 31, 2014
Agbalowomeri: In the mist of all these watch out for the good stocks that would outperform the bearish season.
Sure, guys are selling big time to board the oando bus... That's why I said cash is king

Many others are on the sidelines waiting for the bus to move proper before boarding.

Just arrange your cutlass and hide for one junction. Most stocks go fall wella.

Agbalowomeri: Where is the next action?

Aks: @mpi210- I have 2 questions for you?
1) Do you own Oando shares? If yes, why do you have it in your portfolio?
2) Are you convinced of the write-up you posted? Do you know the intent of the so called analyst @ SMN
Oga, make una no attack me as I don't intend spoiling anyone's show.

I know the guy wella. He's not an analyst and I'm convinced of the write-up I posted.

Just take your time to research how much it costs to develop deep offshore projects like the ones I mentioned.

If they can raise the money like the IOCs for such projects, then they are in business.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mpi210: 1:26pm On Jul 31, 2014
myjoy08: Sir, to make it simple as it is now; ConocoPhillips earnings generated belongs to Oando since when the sale has been officially announced and it will be transferred to Oando when they finally closed the deal. Oando's audited financial statement will reflects this and their first quarter results for 2014.
Oga ambitiousr...sorry myjoy08

Digest this for you to understand that the journey for Oando just started.

Oando hold 20% (non operated interest) in the onshore asset. Based on 2013 and 2014 half year production, Oando share will be about 10kbopd (got the ones in bold from SMN)
(i.e 20% of the estimated 50,000bopd that has been making people are lick their lips). When you add gas and condensate you have about 37kboepd. Obvious the bulk is from gas which is 'less profitable' than oil.

For the offshore, OML 131 is gas and there is no gas terms. So nothing will happen there in the foreseable future. With Oando having 95% interest and also the operator, I dont see them doing anything with this block, they would rather develop OPL 214 now OML 145.

For the OPL 214 (now OML 145), this is a potentially prolific block. However, nothing on ground to show that there will be oil production in the next 10years! No FDP as far as I know. Even if they decide to develop this field, please research how much it cost to develop Bonga, Erha, Akpo, Agbami, Usan and most recently Egina....It's not beans.

myjoy08: Do you forget that we are in Nigeria. Don't let me remember a bitter experience concerning this issue. One of my brother was dupe in Canada, 2010 due to the issue of this IP address fraud. I can be here and be using someone IP address in Germany. So anything is possible Oga. I rest my case.

myjoy08: Sir, am here in Osborne Road, VI. Ikoyi. Ambitious u re talking about is in Abroad. Your assumption does not key in. You can't use Oando assumption to figure out people's identity. So many people are in support of it (Oando) and many people oppose it as well. So back to our missions.
Is it coincidence that the two of u use same ip address?

Tell me another thing

feelamong: I have seen this happen several times on the NSE... to be specific it happened to me in UBA CAP last year.. a result came out at half year and I rushed in at 1.51;

by the close of trading that day it closed at 1.45... but I stayed on and later sold off at N2.90..

after these speculators sell off, they will still come back and we shall be here waiting for them.. afterall the result was a very good one.
SPECULATORS?
