Abagworo: The truth is that there is no single Ijaw in Rivers State. Riverine parts of Rivers State consist of Obollo(Akwa/Cross), Igbo, Ijaw, Edo people mixed disproportionately. They all found distinct ethnic groups of Okrika, Kalabari, Andoni, Opobo, Ibani, "Engenni", Abua, Odual, Degema. You can check up on UN ethnologue report on Nigeria. Ijaws are found in Bayelsa and Delta States however Kalabari, Okrika and Ibani are directly linked with Ijaws but still very distinct. Interesting. |

As for the rest that says we ve lost political relevance they shud stop fooling themselves what is ours is ours, Nigeria knows it, unlike the ijaws whose only bargaining chip is OIL, which as it is loosing value so is der influence, We Igbos we ourselves are our bargaining chip, its just stubbornness and the facr that we dont want to participate actively in politics thats our archilles heel, d day we wud make up our mind some people in the south wud be shaken. MyGeneration: extremely myopic, that was why the british despite the fact that they met with the ijaws first refused to hand over the affairs of the eastern region to them, instead handed it over to Calabar and igbo people. With the way most ijaws fight over sea access and oil, someone wud think they are reasonable people but cluelessness runs in the blood of an average ijaw man, despite all the coast, oil, allocation the pride of the ijaws- Bayelsa hv its the most useless oil producing state in Nigeria... No wonder there clueless kaikai and ogogoro drinking son wanted to ruin Nigeria. Hmm. I'm seeing things. This people should try and help themselves,I pity them really. |

MyGeneration: una get strength and una dae find bini help to outrun one community, if we igbos alone without help from anybody whether bini or ogoni or anybody decide to outrun ijaw land, u wud be telling even ur next 10generation of how igbos commited genocide on ijaw people. U know u cant fight us one on one, if ijaw ever try igbos and let everyother tribe look away the entire Ijaws wud go extinct. Inasmuch as I don't like threats of violence and stuff like that. I laughed my heart out on the reality of this post. Then again, stop talking of violence,it is not the way. |

tombraokoto: Come Ugomba respect yourself and stop saying trash and posting rubbish. Who's interested in your lands? Is it the lands that are not productive? You guys are the second poorest region in nigeria. What do you contribute to Nigeria besides noise and worthless ultimatums? I'm a proud ijaw boy from Rivers State and I want to set something clear, Ijaws are the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria unlike your hateful tribe.
What anioma land are you referring to? Do you realize anioma land belongs to the Binis? The Binis regard anioma as part of their territory and are even planning to annex that land. When they're ready you and your kind will know how far. From the first letter of your post to the last letter-YOU WROTE RUBBISH! Annex kor Duplex ni |

hardywaltz: If you want to see how developed the Ijaws are go to Bayelsa State where it's 100% Ijaw and u will know how lazy intellectually that tribe is. Please enlighten us. I've heard some rather unsavoury comments about Ijaw outside NL(I don't take NL too seriously). I heard most bayelsan guys are myopic in reasoning and are little thinkers. Well,I still love everybody irrespective. |
Politics › Re: Why Are Most Igbos Towns Made Up Of 90-98% Igbos Or Native? by MrAnalyst: 12:32pm On Jan 10, 2016 |
realjoker: please dont see this question as tribal driven motive, as on the point you raised, we dont have to keep living in denial or keep on hallucinating what is not factual,,,, it is no news that there is least concentration of non indigene or non native in SE zone compare to other zone in Nigeria, this baffle me most of the times and that is the motive behind this question, and only salient and substantial contributions are welcome. As I earlier stated in the original post tribalist bigot are not welcome. There are reasons for this. One being that the Igbos are very competitive naturally, they like to be in the "thick of things" hence they leave their villages into other regions to go make a living. Most other ethnicities don't have this natural inclination and will-power. The Igbos don't chase people away from their place,it's just that other ethnicities don't have the doggedness to thrive outside their region. |

nabiz: Truly people just hate the igbos without reason, though there are bad igbos as there is in other tribe. Let me tell my own story. In the year 2007 when I lost my job, a group of (nine)yeroba guy came to abuja to install a stamped concrete job in a site I was working as a casual laborer. Luckily, I was the first person they mate because that was there first time of coming to abuja. This guys stay in a hotel that there oga was paying 5k each room for 2 person while their oga was staying in a room of 8k per night for a job that later lasted for five month and. These guys where on money that a night hardly pass without them going to club. One day I call there oga and told him look, u are spending two much in this abuja, why not rent apartment for these ur guys where they can even cook there food instead of spending money eating outside and hotel accommodation, as and I told there oga to come and manage with me in my house which was even better than the hotel he was spending money on. I told him look, u are here for a job and not to enjoy, so why not finish ur job may be when u go back to lagos u can then enjoy urself. My brother there oga bought my idea but that was how I create eneminity for my self, because the man don't take them to club again. Everyday I will be settling issue with them and land landlord. The will mess up the compound that land lord will threaten to sack them. But do u know that after d job, these guy where very happy that when they where going back to lagos each person gave me 5,5k while there oga gave me 30k. They all thank me for how I help them save money and then encourage me to come and learn the work from them and that was how I learnt stamp concrete job which am enjoying today. But my brother, learning the job was not easy, as these guy started there hatred again. This time around they hate me because the believe there oga loves me more than them. They gossip me with yeroba language. Our oga normally give us weekly money for feeding. These guy once they collect there feeding money will use it and club. They funny thing is they will come to me to lend them money. If I refuse they will label me a wicked igbo man, very stingy and even threaten to do me something; but thank God today we are now friends that some of them even call me Oga paul, U know what that mean na lol ENDORSED!!! This is so true,so so typical of Igbo-yoruba inter-relationship. You made it,I thank God for you. |

oga yahoo fraud, ewedu eating ritualist, diabolical black scratched face and rapist genital mutilator, thesame yorubas that was disgracing themselves in the north in the name of oba tussle. Thesame easterners you claim that are trooping to the waste land is gradually dominating you economically, politically and population wise. Keeping selling your ancestral lands to us for the sake of ordinary OWAMBE PARTY. Lagos is not a no mans land but an IGBOLAND. #Fact# meanwhile we continue to dominate other parts of the world like "new jersey" :p
easterners are travellers, as there journey is not percuiler to the waste but to every part of the world. The real scavengers of lagos are the touts from ogun, oyo, ekiti etc
Son of rape victim, in the next 50yrs Lagos would be igbonised. Yeah fifth class citizen but we are averagely living better than the ewedu eating bastards both educationally and economically. 5th class citizen but the most intelligent black race. We are making achievements worldwide.
We are already buying new and better shops but yorubas in the market are crying that they cant afford new shops. What good are your people of if not touting and omonile. Accursed beggers LOL! Easy o. |
Politics › Re: After War: Why Are Southeastern Cities Averagely Finer Than Southwestern Cities? by MrAnalyst: 10:08pm On Jan 08, 2016 |
YoruBanger: Yinmu. Are you making sense to yourself? Like seriously. Most Igbos in Lagos live in the ghetto areas of Oshodi, Ajegunle, Mushin, Olodi Apapa, Festac and other low-income areas. The Posh parts like Ikeja GRA, Ilupeju, Lekki, Magodo, VGC, Ikoyi, VI, e.t.c. are predominantly Yoruba enclaves. #FACT. And your folks are either traders, Okada riders, or Gala hawkers in traffic. #FACT. What about the Igbo traders outside Lagos and in other SW states, cities and towns? Who patronizes them? Ghosts? Go to Ogbomosho and see swarms of them, ditto Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, e.t.c, including remote villages. These people only visit their states of origin during Christmas. Now, if as you say, "most [yorubas] live below the poverty line", why are your Igbo traders flooding our major towns and cities to sell their wares to such poverty stricken people? I'll tell you why. It's coz they'll die of poverty if they had stayed back in the East coz there's no money to be made in the East -- and it's the same reason they all refuse to relocate back to your region. Most of your wealthy folks made their money outside of the SE. #FACT. I taught you didn't know stuff hence I volunteered to enlighten you. Now,I see you're just being sentimental which is the almost same as being emotional. I don't engage in emotional back and forths,it is folly. Good day |

YoruBanger: Poppycock! You all feasted on this thread, gunz blazing, hoping to have a field day talking shyt about the same region that is host to your armies of destitutes all over the SW region. You bold o, sitting there talking about SW people and poverty in the same sentence, compared to your nomadic ethnic group. Last time I checked, Igbo traders are in every nook and cranny of the SW region, selling their wares and coming in droves as economic migrants. We gave you all a market, bigger, more robust and better than anything you can match in your region. That is why we are your preferred destination anyday! Who are those buying from your traders? No be we Yorubas? Y'all invade our region coz you know we have the spending power and moola to buy your goods, without which y'all would be bankrupt! # FACT.
Go to the Agric section of this forum and see what young and energetic SW youths are doing in Agric, making more than your traders can only dream of. Just coz we don't make as much noise as y'all don't mean we're stupid. We're just silent achievers, that's all. Yinmu. Claiming Igbos troop to SW is a half-truth. Igbos troop everywhere. You claim Yorubas are the ones who patronize Igbo traders. Again, this is hugely inaccurate. In the big markets of Lagos, when it comes to big spending,Igbos form the majority of the "big" customers, this is because most Igbos in Lagos are usually comfortable or quite rich, though ofcourse there are few miscreants. There are rich Yorubas ofcourse but most live below the poverty line, these are the ones that are usually very "pained" by the seeming Igbo domination. Infact these facts are glaring,it's not difficult to hear statements like "the Igbos are the ones developing Lagos". Lemme drop the pen here. |
