Politics › Biafra: Ogoni Group To Support Seccession Struggle by MrAnalyst(op): 8:28pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
The Goodluck Freeman-led faction of the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) has voiced it support for the struggle for the actualisation of Biafra. This is even as factional leader of MASSOB, Comrade Solomon Chukwu, warned the Federal Government to stop arresting, detaining and seizing Biafra passports. Chukwu, who spoke through MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Sunny Okereafor, at the end of a meeting of the two groups in Gokana, Rivers State, assured the people of Niger Delta that they would have control of their resources as soon as Biafra was realised. According to Okereafor, Freeman, who led the Ogoni delegation to the meeting promised that MOSOP would partner MASSOB in the Biafran struggle. He said Freeman lamented the suffering of his people under Nigeria, stressing that they were looking for a platform to liberate his people, which he said MASSOB provides. The MASSOB leader who described Ogoni land as the engine house of Nigeria, regretted that its people had been neglected by Nigeria but promised that something substantial would be done for the area under a Biafran governm..... What is he being remanded for? This sort of practice is just horrible. If he has being arrested then evidence has being discovered. The next step is for him to be arraigned. Why arrest him indefinitely. This is unfair. Charge him to court let him defend himself or let him go if you have no case. Nigeria is so useless! |

Kirigidi: @MrAnalyst. I neva said dat d Igbo nation originatd frm Benin(Aka). My only argument was d person of Eri who just came into d scene as recently as 900AD. Or ar u tryin to say dat Igbo pipo only came into existnce as recently as 900AD? No! Igbo ancestors must hav bin occupyin dia lands centuries bfor Eri came to found Nri in 900AD. Wat Eri nd his party possibly did was organiz nd unite d already existin Igbo communties into a kingdm in 900AD. There ar number of facts why I postulatd dat ancient Aka(Benin) was origin of Eri 1) d commonplace of d ancient names Eri, Udo nd Aka in Ogiso Dynasty's history/folklores;(2) D interestin emergnce of Nri Kingdm almost immediatly afta d collapse of d Ogiso Dynasty in 900AD. History recorded it dat d fall of d Ogiso Dynasty generatd widespread chaos which led to mass-migratn of pipo out of Udo capital of ancient Aka Kingdm, e.g, many Urhobo-Isoko clans;(3) d fact dat Igbos were republicans in nature, nd as such Nri kingdm buildin was likely an initiativ frm outside source. Speculation. Noted anyways. |

Kirigidi: Who is holdin u, mr dullard? Don't worry,I understand your pains, you couldn't believe anybody would thrash you in such a manner,I don't often do so but someone had to speak up against such travesty of history. Igbo didn't originate from Benin, okay? If the word "Igbo" means God then you'd just committed blasphemy with that post. The Anioma people on this forum have seen people try to distort their history and it failed woefully, how much more the Igbo race! The Igbo's didn't come from Benin-A simple proof is the language-Hardly any similarities to be drawn. The Igbo tradition and societal structure-totally different from "Edoid" etc. The only tangible proof of little benin influence is felt among some Igbos in delta, some say it's proximity some say they were conquered and imposed by Benin empire. Yet,some say the progenitor of some Igbos in Delta was an Igbo chief who was exiled from Benin empire. All speculation!,So don't come here and state as a fact the Anioma people or indeed Igbos are from Benin. That's quite silly. No offence |

Kirigidi: U knw nothin! Who thrashd who? Whether u accept it or not, "Eri" d founder of Nri was a migrant frm d ancient Aka Kingdm (Benin) who left Udo (ancient capital of Aka Kingdm) followin d chaos dat trailed d fall of d Ogiso Dynasty in 900AD. If u were a bit rational nd sensible, u wuld hav used dis opprtunity to conduct researchs to find out d authenticity of my claims/hypothesis, nd not resortin to insult! But ur deep-rootd stupidity nd ignornce won't allow u do dat. Wat a pity! Even common sense is enorf to teach u dat Igbos were neva knwn to b empire-builders, nd as such, external influences might hav bin behind d foundatn of Nri as a kingdm, for Igbos were republican by nature! Authenticity of what? This fairytale you posted? You're slow. You can leave me alone now. |

I can see frm ur write-up dat u lack a sense of history just like many of ur pipo. By tellin me dat Aka, Udo, nd Eri ar not Edoid names shows ur poor knwledge of history. I advice u go for proper research or study of ancient Edoid history to upgrade urself. Udo is a well knwn ancient town in Edoid history, locatd close to Benin City nd stil exist til today. On d otherhand, Aka was d ancient name of d kingdom durin d Ogiso Dynasty until d name was changd to Benin nd Edo durin d Oba Dynasty. You're not mad, you're just very very dumb. Don't talk like a mor on! The origin of the Igbos precedes that Edoid bullshitt, cocck and bull story you're typing up there. Get it into your head-Igbo origin precedes that misinformation you presented. Look at his mouth like Edoid. Rubbish! |

Politics › Biafra: Uwazurike,do Not Declare Biafra On Feb 20-itse Sagay by MrAnalyst(op): 7:22pm On Jan 11, 2016 |
Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), a constitutional
lawyer and Chairman of the Presidential
Advisory Committee on Corruption has given a
stern warning to Movement for the
Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra
(MASSOB).
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria on Sunday,
January 10, warned MASSOB members against
declaring independence on February 20, 2016.
Recall that leader of MASSOB, Ralph
Uwazuruike had announced plans to set up a
parallel government in the South-East and
South-South geopolitical zones. He said
elections would hold on February 20 into wards,
provinces, districts, regions and zones of the
South-East and South-South, which he
declared as Biafran territories.
According to him, Biafra would also introduce
its currency, the “Biafran Pound.”
Uwazuruike had also expressed optimism that
the Biafran National Electoral Commission
would hold a credible election.
Sagay in his warning said such an act would
amount to treason which is a grievous crime,
adding that any election that is not
constitutional is tantamount to overthrowing
the government in power.
“That (proposed election) is sheer treason
because the constitution is very clear that you
cannot come to power other than through the
provisions of the constitution. So, anybody
doing that now is not only breaching the
constitution but is also committing treason.
“They will all be rounded up and detained and
charged. And let no one cry on their behalf
and make noise about human rights because if
you want to overthrow the state, you should
know that anything can happen after that
and you will face the consequences,” he said.
Prof. Sagay recently hinted that Biafran
agitation became so intense after the
immediate past administration of president
Goodluck Jonathan because the Igbos are
trying to intimidate President Muhammadu
Buhari into ceding positions they do not merit.
The lawyer also disclosed that he received
insults and death threats from Igbo people for
expressing his opinion on the renewed
agitation for Biafra republic.

ikechu1278: The day you people realize hopeathand is not ikwerre and very likely not from River state is the day you all will stop wasting your time with him. After all, the guy in question, hopeathand, literally mentioned that "Oyigbo land belongs to Ogoni people, especially Eleme." Even though, Eleme is not part of oyigboland. Someone that claims he's from "River state" is not aware of that. It reminds me of the past "itsekiri" on NL that gave a "urhobo" town as his father's land when confronted by that urhobo funny dude, beaf. I've been in this form, and literally watched people spoon fed him, hopeathand, names of ikwerre in Ohaneze, etc as well as his "history"
I'll copy Ezepromoe statement (a real ikwerre who since I've been on this forum have taught alot of us history about his people) said to that hopeathand cause that's pretty much my mindset towards that wannabe as well "Let people keep on fooling themselves by believing you are a Rivers man. It's not my business as long as I'm not fooled." You ugomba, hopefully you'll wake up one day too
Anyway, my only interest right bow is to see the crap that natacisstic, land grabbing, ijaw, miscreant fool, tonyebarcainsta, wrote about anioma. That's what I want to see cause I feel like drag that annoying, Land grabbing , hatefilled thief right now.
