i rest my case!!!
Great, I can see I hit the right spot. Your consequent response above is baseless. I am not even going to get into inferiority complex or quality of life with you. Empty vessels makes the most noise. Inferiority complex? give me a break. Your incredible stupidity festers like a bad sore with every post you make.

I see you have come again. When it comes to islam you jump on the bandwagon and loose any form of sense you have, not that you have much anyway.

Rantings of a foolish Northerner. Why the heck are you living in Lagos? You are better off living amongst your nomadic misfits in the north. You sit there in Ikoyi and talk trash about we can't do anything about you. We really don't need to, all you need do yourself is take a trip down to the north and see how your people live. I bet if you were a male you will be an almajiri beggar in the north. You are only being groomed because you are a female to be married off to a stinky old alhaji in a dirty jalabia.

Have a nice life. It definitely sucks to be you.

Here is a sneak peak of sharia for you:

I can't seem to understand you guys sometimes. Is Islam too difficult to understand?. lets have a go here

The Word Islam means Peace,

There is only One God,

Do the right things and avoid evils, ie Do unto others as you want others do to you.

Respect others, Be kind and polite, live in peace with everyone.

Say your Daily Prayers, Pay Alms, Fast for Allah and Go for Pilgrimage if u can afford it.

This is true Islam.
You need to talk to your fellow muslims (ajia23, logical) maybe they arent practising "true islam".

Seriously, I don't see how chooping off limbs and stoning to death equals peace.

Dont call SHARIA the law of God, i think the law of the devil will be in order. Like i said earlier, i am sure you were not a perfect teenager. What if your parents practiced SHARIA on you?

I pray you don't have children, because your delusion will subject those kids to a life of misery, better yet they may be handicapped of even killed in your idea of "gods law"

LOGICAL

If anyone has a problem with stoning to death, cutting of the hands, etc, then he should know that he secretly supports a contravention of God's law in the Bible and the Quran.
Typical terroristic "statement of belief" from a "TERRORIST". angry angry angry In the words of FELA: ANIMAL in human skin !!!!!!

Only an insane individual with a twisted perception of "God" will make such stupid, inflammatory statements. People with such beliefs should live in dungeons. I will advise you to move to  a SHARIA country where your teenage daughter will be stoned to death for making a mistake a sizeable number of youths make in all societies or your son handicapped for stealing from you. If you parents practised SHARIA on you I wonder if you will have the fingers to type on nairaland.

HealthRe: My 23 Year Old Sister Just Tested Hiv Positive And Has Won American Visa. by MrBean(m): 2:20pm On Jun 28, 2006
@under18

Read carefully and don't be deceived or mislead. I will address the two concerns you raised.

1. concerning your sisters HIV status. She may not be Positive. She should go ahead and get tested. I am a Doctor here in the US and believe me, couples have been tested and one party found to be HIV negative while the other is positive. It is imperative she gets tested so treatment can start. These days especially in the developed world, HIV is not a death sentence.

2. Concerning her US Diversity Visa situation, A candidate is permanently INELIGIBLE to receive a US immigrant visa if you fall in the categories listed below of which HIV is one. Heres the link: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/factsheets/HIVfs.htm

(a) Has a communicable disease of public health significance e.g HIV

(b) Has a Mental disease that can constitute danger to the American public

(c) Has a Felony (Criminal record)

IF she has the VISA already she can come to the US. But if she doesnt have it, one of the requirements is getting tested for HIV. From your post, I presumes she has the Visa already, in which case nothing stops her from buying her ticket and coming here.

I empathize with your family especially your sister, but its not the end of the road for her. My advise to her is first of all to get tested to know her status. If she turns out positive she can start on a healthy diet and combination medication that will improve her immune system and slow the progression of the disease. she can still live a full life.

Let me know when she gets her results, I might be able to help. There are many programs by the UN and other Charity organization from the US to Africa that I will explore for her. I am in paediatrics but I have a lot of friends in Public health and communicable dieseases. Yours is definately not a hopeless situation.

Shalom.

@chinani

Your advice to her was great, however, the link only addresses "pre-winning" the visa lottery, it doesnt talk about the procedure to actually obtaining the VISA. Winning the lottery is one thing, actually getting the visa is another. There is a disclaimer that states winning the Visa loterry doesnt guarantee automatic VISA issuance. Look on the USCIS website you will see waht i mean.
Here is an excerpt: Section 212(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (Act) states that any alien who is diagnosed to have a communicable disease of public health significance is inadmissible. The etiological agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), or HIV infection, is specifically included in this provision. Section 212(g)(1)(A) of the Act further provides, in pertinent part, that the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may waive such inadmissibility in the case of an alien who is the spouse or child of a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident

Here is the link to the page on USCIS(United States Citizens and Immigration Bureau) website: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/factsheets/HIVfs.htm

I think you will do well not to try to fan a flame of discord has you seem to do. Dearzi and I are much closer than it appears on this forum due of our different stance. At the end of the day, we will be as good a friends as we've always been and your stance will only make you look ridiculous. This is just an advice.
On the contrary, TayoD you are the one that sounds RIDICULOUS and UNREASONABLE. It was just a comment made by someone that was in favor of what dearzi wrote. Who cares about your personal relationships, it a public forum. Keep your sentiments in your pocket and try to restrict yourself to making objective intelligent posts.
IslamRe: Things Mohammad And Jesus Have In Common by MrBean(m): 2:24pm On Jun 22, 2006
Guys,

Its pointless trying to communicate spiritual things to someone who wants to "logically figure out his faith" (IRONY)

The Bible says: "The natural man cannot comprehend the things of the spirit because they are spiritually (not logically) discerned. (1 Cor 2:14.)

Bible also says: "The letter killeth but the Spirit giveth life". (2 Cor. 3:6)

A lot of things in the bible cannot be logically figured out, but based on faith and application of these principles we (Spirit-filled Christians) know beyond a doubt that it works. Bible talks a lot about believing without seeing. A logical man will want to see before he believes. Jesus said to some: "you have believed because you see, but blessed are they that do not see but yet believe". Bible says in the book of Hebrews that the things which we see are made from the things which we cannot see, It also talks about "Faith being the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of unseen realities". A logical man cannot reconcile something you are hoping for with having substance while you are still hoping.

My point is Christianity is not based on logic or any empirical evidence of some sort. It is based on faith in Jesus Christ, hence trying to make sense of Christianity with a "logical Muslim" will go on forever without any reasonable conclusion. Until you accept Jesus as your lord and Saviour, you can never fully comprehend Christianity.

I still stand by my earlier post: " JESUS and mohammed have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common"

I beg to differ. They are targeted exercises for for different results. If anythng, cardio workout requires a lot more than jumping on "molue". As a Doctor, A study I once reviewed speaks about taking 10,000 steps a day, drinking at least 4 litres of water a day, and "regulating your diet" (i.e. Complementing your meals with lots of fruits and Veg) to achieve near perfect results. Jumping on "molue" will move you closer to your Grave.

A lot of Nigerians do die from obesity, heart attacks, high levels of dangerous cholesterol and other complications resulting from Bad eating habits and lack of exercise. symple:
Rev.Chris Okotie is the only presidential candidate I think is very qualified for the 2007 election.

Let’s forget about he used to be a musician, a writer and he’s a pastor. What most people refuse to see is thst this guy is a confirm politian. He studied political science in University of Benin. And l believe he’s hot. He’s very eloquent.

I ain’t one of his church members neither lm I one of his fam. But what I'm saying is that I think he’s tha best for our generation. He’s very presentable. And he’s the kind of person that when he speak out there we can be proud of.

Who told some of us that MEN OF GOD can’t become leaders? King David, King Solomon, etc were men of God but they ruled nicely.

Some of us want to know who’s going to be the 1st lady if he becomes the president. I don’t think if we really need a 1st lady that much though. Do we hear much about 1st ladies even in developed countries?

I know for sure that if a free and fair election is been conducted, Rev Chris okotie will definitely win. He’s taking the lead in a National political pool that’s been conducted in Rhythm 93.7.
Sir,

Aside from the notion that Chris Okotie is the best candidate in your opinion, I really dont get your point.

A man that cannot put his house in order the bible says, should not be allowed to lead in any capacity. He is not leadership material for Nigeria. Thats my opinion.
