In this days of sexual waywardness & promiscuity there are alot of benefits that one should note,of no sex before marriage; and I'll like to point out some to save some few.

1.Hiv
Well today we have more people living with HIV than we had in the time past due to information/vaccines. Abstinence will prevent you from communing such diseases/virus as this.Cuz in the case of marriage, tests are carried out before consummation but casual relationships are based on beliefs and one could have lied about their status.

2.Break Ups
It is easier to walk out of a relationship with no sexual interaction,than one which has;and that's very true, especially for the ladies .
My cousin once lost the guy she was supposed to marry,she cried for many nights but she moved on more quickly since there was nothing physical between them.So for the sake of a safe heart you might want to abstain.

3.Sampling
This one is more for the guys,once a guy starts having sex before marriage there's tendency he might want to test all waters before marriage,leading him to a dip abyss.My friend lost his virginity to his girlfriend last year,to cut the long story he's turned to something else since then.

4.Less Cases
You hear cases of rape and sexual abuses every day.If only these people where practising abstinence,there would have certainly been a reduction of such cases.

5.Marriage complications/Divorce
The truth is those who held it till marriage are more likely to have less complicated marriage as opposed to their fellow contemporaries.
When there's abstinence there's trust because you believe if she isn't giving in to you;she certainly isn't giving it to someone else. Although a cheat is a cheat whether they are giving it to you or not; but genuine abstaining partners build much trust on fidelity with their spouse.

When one abstains before marriage he/she as no room to compare their partners sexual prowess with their ex's there by reducing sexual tension."No man wants you to compare him with you ex no matter what" hence this does alot of salvaging since you have no one to compare him to.

6.Draws you closer to God
Take it or leave it those who abstain are more likely to get closer to God. It doesn't make them better than you,but certainly helps them in their walk; Since they are hardly thinking about sex unlike you.

7.You save Money
Sounds silly right,but morning after pills and sexual preventives don't come in cheap especially flavoured condoms.

8.True Love
It is very easy to find your true love when there's no sexual relationship. Most times when sex is introduced in premarital relationships it clouds your judgement to be able to see things " the way they are" most especially for the ladies.

9.Prevents death
Most ladies die while trying to do an abortion,but abstinence will prevent such; also alot of innocent babies that are killed and dumped into the bin,would have been saved.

Good day everyone, who else among the guys here on NL has experienced this..?!

For the past 6yrs that I've been on the dating scene, I've experienced a lot of misses rather than hits in my dating game, this is not due to the fact I lacked the looks, charm, smarts etc. I noticed a scenario that always repeated itself, which was when ever I approached a girl, we would click instantly, she would flash all the green lights flashable, we would have a lot in common & get along really well, then whenever I finally ask her for us to be "exculsive".... The horror film begins...

They never tell me No or a yes.. I'm not friendzoned neither am I in the dating zone, I more than a friend to her but less than a BF, when I ask them why they can't give me an answer, they give all manner of reasons such as; you are too good for me, I like you a lot but I don't love, let's be more than friends but I can't date you ( WTF ), I don't know what I feel towards you...let's keep what we have....and blah blah blah...


Most times I give them time to sort out their feelings coming back again to ask hoping to get a good answer but their emotions are still in a state of flux.. I'll give up and move on ( when I move on I move on totally no looking back ), only for this ladies who seemly had nothing for me to come back (vengeful) when they see me hooking up with another chick, then they start all manner of theatrics....then I begin to wonder is it not the same girl who had "Nothing" for me...

This scenario as played out more than 5 times with me... I'll like to know if other guys here have experienced this or are also experiencing this....

With the current situation of things in the country, I am thinking of shifting base to Ghana for now and watch how things pan out.

I have some questions I'd love travel experts in the house to help me tackle (if you currently leave in Ghana, all the better for me)

1. What documents will I be in need of in the course of this travel.

2. What's the estimated rate for getting good accommodation in Accra - like for over a six month period?

3. We have heard a lot about the power situation over there... is it really all that stable? (because I am into internet marketing).

4. How friendly and peaceful are the folks over there? (very essential as I no like 'kata kata' any day )

Please I'd love people familiar with life in Accra, Ghana to drop as much details as possible, so I can make an informed decision and know how to prepare myself. I'd be really grateful for your valued input.

1. To travel to Ghana, you need only your international passport.

2. Just like in Nigeria, Gh landlords generally won't take 6 months rent. Most of them will ask you to rent for 3 years upfront, 2 years if you're lucky. Unless you will stay in a serviced apartment which is way more expensive.
When you get to Ghana, just walk along the streets of Accra you will see small sign boards with phone nos of accomodation agents and the costs of the apartments. I can't say how much for the apartments because I don't know what you like. visit www.tonaton.com (website like olx) and search for apartments. Don't worry, Gh is not like naija, 98% of listings there are legit. You can search here from naija and make your arrangements before coming.

3. When I first came here we had 24/7 power, but since like last year, the economy became very bad and light started NEPAing. Although unlike naija, they actually released timetable online so you will know when the light will come and go in your area. Well, since November last year, the light offs have stopped. there's now constant light but unlike before, they may take the light for a few hours like twice a week.

4. Ghanaians are friendly. Very friendly but are skeptical about Naija people (understandably).

Accommodation is reasonably cheap if you earn in Cedi. It also depend on area.
