Travel / Re: Ethiopian Airline Making Record Sales From Enugu International Airport by mrchemist(m): 9:33am On Aug 27, 2013
IGBO-SON:

^^^I'm sure it has already surpassed Kano.....i think it may struggle to match Port Harcourt; Enugu can come close to matching Lagos and Abuja (in the long run) only if we have our own country or with Nigeria operating true fiscal federalism with a weak centre!

. Goodnews I m glad and kodos to GEJ for the work done on the airport,nw let all SouthEast use this medium to show case our economic power to the world, 1yr from today no airport in nigeria will stand Enugu airport, I m from Owerri for my family friends in UK. USA,Europe will fly direct to Enugu we have agreed its the best and easy way,No more Custom, accident, police fear from lagos road to East. My fellow Igbo tell ur brothers, friends, uncle, relative to fly Enugu... God Bless GEJ... GOD bless South East....

Politics / As Inec Concludes Plans To Rig Election In Imo State For Ikedi Ohakim by mrchemist(m): 2:07pm On Apr 01, 2011
I am constrained to once again expose the conspiracy of INEC and the
Imo Police Command to rig the forth coming election for the PDP led
government of Mr. Ikedi Ohakim.

It is a notorious fact that the fraud infested government of Mr. Ikedi
Ohakim has been exposed as a government that can never be re-elected.
The People Democratic Party (PDP) has equally been rejected by the
good people of the state. Having seen the undiluted truth of total
rejection by the people, the Ohakim leadership began moves that are
anti-democratic to make sure that the will of Imo People are
undermined and sabotaged by re-imposing themselves again in the State.
Firstly the Imo State Vigilante was incorporated in the
anti-democratic agenda of Mr. Ikedi Ohakim. The Vigilante would be
used to frighten and intimidate the people of the state on the days of
election. The Police in the State would look the other “way” while
these are going on. Secondly Youth Organizations would be armed and
used to cause havoc and mayhem should their be any challenge or
confrontation from the opposition political parties. Perhaps the
following illustration would prove this write right. On the 17th of
March 2011, the member representing Owerri Municipal State
Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly held a meeting with
several Youth Organizations in the State at “THE RANCH” Hotel Located
in Prefab Housing Estate Owerri. At the meeting, the Honourable member
told the Youth bodies that Mr. Ikedi Ohakim mandated him to recruit
the Youths for Special Assignments in the forth coming election. He
told the Youths that they would be used to thumb print ballot papers
in Special Homes across the state. He specifically said that INEC
would make available colour photo copies of INEC documents and
materials in various polling centers in the State while the original
documents would be given to Ikedi Ohakim for onward distribution to
Special Homes for thumb printing. According to the Honourable member,
as the thumb printings are going on, the Vigilante would be guarding
those Special Homes while the Police would be deployed to various
polling centres to “maintain” law and order obviously as a deceit
strategy. At the end of the meeting, the youth Organizations were
given the sum of N50, 000 each.

However, before now, the administrative Secretary of INEC in Imo State
have been meeting with the Special Assistant to Ikedi Ohakim on
Electoral matters, Mr. Steve Asimobi to strategize on how to rig the
forth coming election in favour of PDP in the State. This
administrative Secretary (A Calabar Man) always comes to Mr. Steve
Asimobi’s residence located at WORLD BANK Housing Estate New Owerri
for meetings with Mr. Steve Asimobi. The Ohakim government has equally
used this same Administrative Secretary to get hold of the State
Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Professor (Mrs.) Selina Okoh;
hence she has fully pledged to cooperate Mr. Ikedi Ohakim and PDP. In
appreciation, Professor Selina Okoh has received various sums of money
from the Ohakim government through Mr. Steve Asimobi and INEC
Administrative Secretary.

At this point, let me also expose some of the Special Homes where
thumb printing of ballot papers would take place (a) Prince Lemmy
Akakem’s mansion at Orji in Owerri North L.G.A.
(b) The Ranch Hotel at Prefab Housing Estate in Owerri Municipal
(c) Mr. Paul Nnawuchis Residence at Federal Housing Estate, Owerri
Municipal Owerri
(d) Mr. Rex Anunobis Mansion in Nkwerre LGA
(e) Mr. Tony Black’s Mansion in Isiala Mbano LGA
(f) Mr. Chikwem Onuoha’s Mansion in Isiala Mbano LGA
(g) Mr. Goodluck Opia’s Mansion in OHAJI/EGBEMA LGA etc.
(h) Mr. Acho Ihim’s Mansion in Okigwe LGA.

After the thumb printing, the ballot papers would be taken to the
various local governments Headquarters before being taken finally to
INEC state office.

It is also very worthy for me to note that the Ohakim government few
weeks ago forced the Civil servants and school teachers in the State
to submit photocopies of their voter’s cards to them. The civil
servants and teachers were threatened with non-payment of salaries
should they default in submitting their cards. This is aside the
importation of people from outside Imo State (Aba, Umuahia, Onitsha,
and Elele) to register in various Local governments in the state
during the just concluded voter registration exercise.

I have taken time to expose this very ugly plot of Ikedi Ohakim
government so that Nigerians would be alert. Let me state it very
clearly that Mr. Ikedi Ohakim can never win any election in Imo State.
The Public Opinion in the state has already proved it that Ohakim can
never get more than 4% of the total votes that would be cast in April
2011. Therefore the attempt by the Ohakim government, Police and INEC
to rig the forth coming election would be resisted by all means by the
people of Imo State. Ikedi Ohakim wants more blood shed in Imo State.

He wants more death in the State. He wants more destruction in Imo
State. But the will of Almighty God will surely prevail.

The National Chairman of INEC (Professor Attahiru Jega) is therefore
most humbly advised to remove Professor (Mrs.) Selina Okoh and the
INEC Administrative Secretary in the State. The force Headquarters is
also advised to seriously caution the Imo State Police Command. The
Federal Government is also most humbly advised to order the
dissolution of the Imo State Vigilante.

The 2011 general election in Imo State would be defended by the good
people of the State. The people of the state will resist the plans by
the Ohakim government to shed blood during the elections.
The independent National Electoral Commission should truly be
independent. It should be seen to be free from the Ohakim Virus.
A word is enough for the wise.
I rest my pen.
