Politics / Re: Saraki’s Supporter Orders Rotimi Jacobs To ‘Sit Down’ During Proceedings by Mrco2: 4:17pm On May 17, 2016
Ryder306:

Sir, you saying the Enforcement agent is now a lawyer. The question was irrelevant.

Uncle Saraki cant not outsmart himself....okay?
Not that in every case there are some fudermentals most of the charges bothers on Saraki not declaring the assets of his companies as his personal assets. The prosecution has made a mess of this case since the defence started cross examination of the chief prosecution witness who incidentally is a law enforcement agent that should know better.

Why is this government full of contradictions why agree to a reduction of 25 naira when U claim subsidy has been removed. The government is only clever by half increasing the price of PMS in the name of removal of subsidy. Can anything good come out of this government?
Politics / Re: Senate: New Twists Place PDP In Driving Seat by Mrco2: 12:24pm On Mar 21, 2016

Politics / Re: MTN Fueled Boko Haram Insurgency - President Buhari by Mrco2: 3:39pm On Mar 09, 2016
PMB has officially lost it blaming MTN for the activities of boko haram shows he has lost touch with realities in the 21st century. I remember it was said that telecommunication services was cut in the North East. Further more I guess he has not heard of satellite phones. I wonder if he listens to his advisers or the are all dumb like him.

How do they intend to achieve their aim because the last time I checked they will need PDP Senator to effect any leadership change.
Politics / Re: Pro-Lawan Senators Move To Impeach Saraki - Punch by Mrco2: 1:27pm On Sep 26, 2015
How will the PDP senators support SUF when the root of the matter is because one of their own is the DSP they will rather cut a deal with Saraki and take control of the Senate. Core APC loyalists in the Senate are in clear minority if U take away Saraki supporters in APC. PDP has the opportunity to take over the Senate if an election is conducted today on the floor. This is politics it is now a case of the Hunter becomes the hunted. APC should quite this silly mind games it's a bitter pill they must swallow.
Politics / Re: Saraki’s Loyalists To Rubbish Buhari’s Ministerial List As Rivals Plot His Remov by Mrco2: 1:00pm On Sep 26, 2015
Pure mind games SUF has been beaten to their game how do they expect the same PDP members they castigate join hands with them to take down on of their own when they have the opportunity to take over the Senate. I laugh in Spanish.

Politics / Re: Saraki’s Trial: PDP Plots To Pick Senate President by Mrco2: 1:31pm On Sep 24, 2015
belabela:

They won't. This government will make sure that their mandate is not transfered to another party. i.e. if you want to decamp you automatically vacate the seat - you then contest under your new party and INEC will now have to pronouce a new result - that's how it's done in every sane society. Afterall we vote for party in Nigeria, I haven't seen a ballot paper with somebody's name on it. So the party has the mandate - that was how Amaechi could claim governorship postiton from Omeha in Rivers. The party won the election not the individual.
They don't necessarily have to decamp all they need do is work in alliance with PDP remember Saraki is still the SP and PDP senators are needed to make up the numbers to remove him also remember it is only the SP that can declare the seat of any senator vacate any which way we look at it APC will play an opposition role
Politics / Re: Saraki’s Trial: PDP Plots To Pick Senate President by Mrco2: 11:31am On Sep 24, 2015
watching to see how the drama unfolds APC May just play an opposition role in the Senate.
Politics / Re: ’50 Senators’ Accompany Saraki To Tribunal For Corruption Trial by Mrco2: 12:21pm On Sep 22, 2015
Its obvious you guys don'tunderstand the implication of 50 senators accompanying Saraki to CCT, It goes to show that he can not be removed as Senate President. 73 senators are needed to remove him from office and he has 50 core loyalist plus him self making 51 so tell me how he would be removed also remember some of his loyalist are not in the country. The drama just started.

abbey621:

So in your mind, without Ministers policies cannot be formulated. We all shouted corruption during GEJ's administration, GEJ changed ministers frequently during his tenure, wouldn't it make sense for a president championing anti corruption to actually take his time to appoint the right people?
Taking time my foot if as at today he hasn't appointed his ministers it only points to the fact that he was not prepared for the task of governing a country as complex as Nigeria. Like I said in a parliamentary system a vote of no confident would have been passed on him a long time ago. almost four months just to appoint ministers it's unfortunate.
Politics / Re: Ministers Are Very Important And Not Noisemakers: A Reply To PMB by Mrco2: 12:03pm On Sep 17, 2015
Buhari only showed he lacks the understanding of government and its working. If this was a parliamentary system he would have been shown the way out a long time ago, the economy is bleeding because of lack of policy no one knows where we are heading all we hear is anti-corruption with no arrest. its absurd that three months down the line government has not taken shape all because the president that is suppose to provide leadership doesn't understand what the concept of leadership and governance is all about.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Article: Buhari Was Right On Obama's Cabinet by Mrco2: 1:12pm On Jul 22, 2015
How can any one explain not naming a single member of the cabinet in 53 days. Agreed Obama didn't have a full cabinet but key departments where filled within few days of his inauguration in 2009. If in 53 days PMB can not name the Secretary to the Government of the Federation it shows he is not prepared for the task ahead and lack control of his government.

It is expected the Naira will keep falling till Buhari forms his Cabinet and there is an economic policy in place. Investors pulled out their funds in the build up to the general elections came back briefly after the elections and are now out till the economic direction of this administration is put in place.

APC is synonymous with confusion they don't understand the meaning of democracy let alone governance in a democratic setting. To them the feel imposition is democracy caring foul because they could not impose their preferred candidates on NASS. APC has no choice than to accept the outcome of the NASS elections and move on or go down. Remember the parliament is the soul of any democratic society. For the first time we are going to have an Independent NASS, this is what I call change not the scam by APC leaders.
God bless Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Is The Office Of The Senate President Pollitically Overrated? by Mrco2: 6:18pm On Jun 29, 2015
@ OP
1. don't forget Saraki unlike Evans Enwerem is more politically sophisticated with a wider network the opposition now has the numbers to block any impeachment plot remember they have the Deputy senate president.

2 Its difficult to brake his followers am not saying its impossible but its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than to brake this group.
3. forget Kwara politics he holds the ace.
APC has lost this one all they need to do is to fictionalize the party and decamp this is already happening.
Politics / Re: Is The Office Of The Senate President Pollitically Overrated? by Mrco2: 5:12pm On Jun 29, 2015
The post of the Senate President is very important to have a smooth sail the president must have a good working relationship with the Senate president or have him in his pocket more like a rubber stamp. He is more powerful than the Vice president, all the past Senate presidents mentioned by the OP all got there based on party loyalty or loyalty to the president that why the executive has always gotten their way and they go into oblivion after leaving office. Saraki's case is different from the rest for obvious reasons:
1. He got his mandate with the help of the opposition and few of his party members , there by he can make things difficult for his party if he choices.
2. Lobby by the executive will be difficult because only a few senators are loyal to the party by extension the executive. there by passing critical executive bills, screening of political appointees etc very difficult.
3. He can't stop being relevant because the political structure in his state is in his pocket, he brought the party to his state and he can take it away.
Lets see how all this play out its just my personal opinion

@ OP Saraki did nothing wrong it's just politics the so called godfathers are just learners national politics and regional politics are two different things. The so called godfathers in APC are regional politicians. The only faction of APC that understands national politics is The NPDP guys and they just showed the stuff they are made off.
