Politics / Re: Buhari's Media Adviser Express Frustration Over Destructive Criticisms by Mrco2: 8:49pm On Jun 26, 2015
The presidential spokesmen are indeed learners less than a month into the job they are begging for a ceasefire. They better take a course from Abati and Okupe because the heat has not been turned on. The next four years is sure going to be fun.

Politics / Re: Barcanista & TANoids Missed IT by Mrco2: 5:05pm On Jun 10, 2015
The out come of the NASS elections yesterday shows the NPDP faction of APC had struck a deal with PDP long ago. During the election of Saraki there were just 57 senators i.e 49 PDP senators and 8 APC senators, by the time the Deputy Senate President was to be elected the numbers of senators increased to 75 i.e 49 PDP senators and 26 APC senators. Note senator Ndume was part of the initial 8 APC senators that voted Saraki. So the election of the DSP was just mere formalities by the same camp, note Ekweremadu got 54 votes which is half of 108 senators meaning if all 108 senators where present Ekweremandu would have still won because the remaing votes will just be 53 as Saraki's vote is needed only when there is a tie. Also note in the APC shadow election over the weekend only 33 voted for Lawan and this where the same people that stayed away from the election. The APC leadership messed up as at Saturday it was obvious Lawan only had 33 votes they should have tried to cut a deal with PDP that had 49 block votes. No matter what the APC does now they have lost total control of the Senate because the Saraki has 75 senators loyal to him as opposed to 33 senators loyal to the APC leadership. Too bad APC couldn't manage their slim majority now in less than 24 hours they are back to minority its a pity its all politics.

Politics / Re: Breaking News: APC Senators Leave National Assembly During Session by Mrco2: 12:48pm On Jun 10, 2015
Its really not about Saraki but the other APC senators in Saraki's camp from the look of thing Saraki has Absolute majority in the senate all thoes that appeared yesterday for the election of both the SP and DSP are all in the same camp. The so called APC loyalist in the senate are just about 33 which can not even form a quorum. My advise is for APC to manage this internally expelling Saraki will just compound the woes of APC.

Politics / Re: A Call For Preservation Of The Memories Of Today's Events by Mrco2: 12:44am On Jun 10, 2015
Just saw a recap of the events in the Senate that there was a grand plan by A PC senators and PDP senators . The election for the post of Deputy Senate President was also a set up. Ndume belongs to the Saraki . The battle just begun waiting to see what the APC leadership will do because their actions will either make or further mar the party because it's not just Saraki day went against their directive but about 25 senators. I really doubt if the leadership of APC knows what they are up against. Time will tell.

Politics / Re: N’assembly Posts: Saraki, Dogara Set To Defy APC. by Mrco2: 10:12am On Jun 08, 2015
A shocker awaits APC tomorrow no matter the out come APC can never remain the same. The ACN reps caused havoc to the PDP in 2011 now is pay back time the PDP retreat in PH is a pointer to what is going on Saraki and Dogora are no fools when they say they are fighting on tomorrow will sure be interesting. Its a bitter pill but APC must swallow it come to think of it how can lawan win with just a support of 32 votes in a chamber of 109 this will be the joke of the year.

Politics / Re: APC Lists Criteria For Senate Presidential Candidate- Punch by Mrco2: 12:27pm On Jun 03, 2015
I see the return of David Mark and also defections to Pdp from Apc the game is on. Its not easy to be a true national party.
Politics / Re: APC Moves To Stop Pdp’s Plot For Senate President by Mrco2: 12:12pm On Jun 03, 2015
One thing is sure the Saraki group controls the Next senate made up of Pdp N Apc senators no matter how it seems its easier for Mark to get six Apc senators than for all Apc senators to queue up behind Lawan. Saraki will rather step down for Mark than for Lawan this is politics its a game of Numbers and affiliation remember most Apc senators where once in Pdp its all politics. I can't wait to see how this plays out but one thing is sure the next senate will have a divided Apc.

Politics / Re: PDP May Snatch National Assembly Leadership, Kwankwaso Warns APC by Mrco2: 3:33pm On May 11, 2015
As funny as this might be there is no smoke without fire don't least we forget most of the senators elect were at one time or the other in PDP and they know how they operate I wont be surprise if PDP produces the senate president they have about 49 senators if i am not mistaken, that is a large chunk and dont forget not all the 60 APC senators will go with the parties choice there by giving way for the PDP to get the post. Either there will be a vote against the candidate of the APC leadership i.e a repeat of the Tambuwal episode in the House of Representative in 2011 or a vote for a senator from the PDP either way Kwankwaso is correct. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The sole of any democracy lies in the legislature and who so ever becomes the senate president is vital as he automatically becomes the chairman of the national assembly.
