Total rubbish so because he is a former governor he can't freely move around in nigeria? If he has has any personal thing or business to do in benue he must always seek permission from the governor before visiting does that make any sense to you? The benue ndc governorship candidate has even made it clear he personally wrote to benue state commissioner of police about Obi's visit so which other necessary protocols do u want obi and his team to observe?

This is just the truth the few appointments given to igbo politicians are slave appointments that only benefit those that it was given to, someone like umahi is been used to build mega projects in other regions why insignificant projects are approved for his own region.

1. They've warned Obi to always inform them when he's coming to the state. I guess Obi didn't comply with the directive. You may like Obi but if you are being objective, it's madness for a high profile like him to want to go to a state without informing the state government. Atiku can't just enter Benue like that. It's not possible. It's not that he can't but protocol demand you inform the authorities first so they can be prepared for your logistics and security. Let's be fair, if Obi is the current governor of Anambra, will it sit well with him for Atiku to come into his state for campaign purpose without prior notice? Even Tinubu as the president can't just enter Benue without informing the governor.

2. For Benue state government, it's wrong the way Obi was treated. But I guess, werey la fin wo werey. By their response, it was premeditated and they played it well.

That said, Obi is just somehow. A presidential candidate working into childish traps like this is funny. If he had inform the government, they won't be be able to put out this statement. This is the person they said has strategy for going to the official launch of APM HQ in Abuja? Obi is not street smart. It has to be said.

It was this same Obi that claimed they wanted to assassinate him in Edo few months ago. If he has been assaulted with gunfire today, this is how the state would have said they were not aware of his arrival. Obi doesn't have political advisers, I swear.
