States will not only be able to complete existing projects but also their loan obligations.

What of the new wage bills ?

How will both the state and federal govts meet their new obligations to staff while still paying subsidy ?

There's no way in hell freezing over that subsidy can be restarted without heading the country straight to bankruptcy.

I don't think the ordinary man on the streets of northern nigeria and the rest of the country cares wether their states have taken huge loans in anticipation of the increased monthly allocations.

For once,use your IQ. If the president is culpable and part of this charade, then why will he expose them. Someone or group within the presidency is in the know, and icpc should fish them out and prosecute them. At a time it was budget paddling, later the mysterious snake eating money and do many absurd ways to corruptly enrich themselves.

Is the money for the governors' personal enrichment or is it to develop their states?

Today, state governors no longer owe salaries, and are building infrastructure left, right and centre.

So the ''bigger cheques to governors'' is a very good thing, unless your own governor is chopping the money instead of working!

The civil servants that receives those salaries in states are very few compared to the millions that are into private businesses or unemployed? Data has shown most ordinary nigerians are not benefiting from the billions that governors are collecting monthly rather they have been plunged into deeper abject poverty in the last 3yrs of tinibu's rule.
