Gusau – Rabiu Zuru, national president of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), said on Tuesday that the Fulani people had been pushed to the wall and that was why killings and kidnapping had remained pervasive in Zamfara State.

Addressing the state governor and stakeholders at a town hall meeting in Gusau, the state capital, the Fulani leader maintained that the Hausa community had offended the Fulani people beyond forgiveness.

According to him, the Hausa people would sell portions of lands to the Fulani people only to sell the land again to Hausa people thinking that the Fulani people are fools.

He said even if the Fulani people came back to claim the lands they bought, they would be asked to pay more before they could claim the lands.

The Fulani leader maintained that the Hausa people usually killed their people and stole their animals, insisting that attacks by the Fulani were reprisals.

“These are some of the main reasons why the Fulani people picked offence against the Hausa people,” he revealed.


Responding, the chairman, Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Mohammed Ahmed, blamed the Yansakai group for killing innocent citizens, especially the Fulani people in the state.

According to him, the Yansakai group would just enter the market and start killing the Fulani people without reason.

The Emir equally blamed security operatives for arresting and killing innocent citizens of the state, saying it was not fair to blame insecurity in the state on the Fulani people only.

The Fulani leader said if the state government could stop the Hausa people from killing, harassing, and stealing the animals of Fulani people, the recurring killings and kidnappings would end in the state.

In his own reaction, the state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, assured that his government would construct roads, hospitals, markets, grazing land, etc so that they could remain stationed in one place.

According to the governor, the state government would set up a high powered committee to find out how best to end the mayhem.

He gave the Fulani leaders a grace of one month to settle with their young ones who, he said, were responsible for the terror attacks and kidnappings in the state.

In the wake of the heavy outrage against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, over alleged rape and molestation of women, another woman has surfaced levelling similar allegation against the general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN, Prophet T.B Joshua.

It is no longer news that Busola, wife of singer Timi Dakolo, came out last week with revelations of how she was allegedly raped by Pastor Biodun.

Although, the pastor had since denied raping anyone in his lifetime, “even as an unbeliever”, there were mass protests in several locations of COZA on Sunday with members and non member calling for his resignation.

However, the woman, who was on a protest in support of Busola, made claims that Prophet T.B Joshua trapped her in his church for 14 years and raped her. She showed a book which she claimed contained evidence against the cleric in case he denied.

In a viral video, the woman said she was trapped in the church for 14 years before the Lord set her free.

According to her, “This is not the time for make up, this is the time to address. I am also talking on behalf of other young girls that are still in the captivity of TB Joshua. 8-years-old, 14-years-old and 11-years-old are still there.

“Yes, I can say it, because they have money, connections, they can put people down. Enough is enough, if he thinks I am lying, he can contest it in court.”

Prophet Joshua is yet to react to the allegation.

The newly inaugurated governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde, has said he would scrap the N3, 000 being paid by pupils of all public primary and secondary schools in the state and also promised to donate his salary to pensioners.

He admitted that the greatest challenge confronting the state was the issue of poverty and promised to tackle it with a drastic leap in agriculture, just as he pledged to look into the issue of over 400, 000 out-of school-children in the state.

However, Makinde said the state was not capable of paying the new N30, 000 minimum wage but was quick to add that, “I believe in true Federalism.

“That being said, our plan is to make Oyo the first state to pay above the national minimum wage. We know this is possible. We have already set our plan in motion to make this possible. But, this requires time. We propose staggered increments.

“I met with organized labour during my campaigns and made a pledge to an open relationship. I intend to stand by that promise. We will have a sincere conversation and arrive at the best decision possible. Rest assured that the decision will put your overall best interests first,” he said.

According to the man, a certain number called him claiming they are calling from a Nigerian bank. They gave out some of his details and then expecting the man to divulge more details about himself.

He then wondered how they got his other details in the 1st place if there are no insiders in the bank.

This executive order will start from 1st June 2019. Nobody in the country is now allowed or authorised to own or carry prohibited weapons or gun.

If you think you have any license issued to you in the past / previously allowing you to own or carry any type of gun, prohibited weapons, components parts and prohibited ammunition or selling; that license is now dead.

Only legit police officers and the army that is fully authorised can carry a gun.

All Civil Defense Corps and other security organisation are no longer allowed to carry weapons from 1st June 2019.

A Zamfara LG Chairman, Alhaji Sani Galadima who received the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdurrahman Dambazau, who was in the state to assess the security threat being posed by banditry and listen to the challenges facing  the people, revealed that they pay ransoms to bandits daily.

Our correspondent reports that the former Head of State was promptly rushed by some top echelons of the military into a special tenth for emergency resuscitation, just as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State dashed into the tenth to ensure he recovers.

A military, as well as Delta State ambulances, were immediately moved to the front of the tenth in case the former Head of State’s health deteriorates further.

After a moment of suspense, Chief James Ibori and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa were seen coming from the special tenth, an indication that the former Army General has recovered.

My community in mbano imo state used to live like this with these creatures they even worship them some years ago but not anymore almost everyone is now a practicing christain. You hardly see any snakes around in the village they are chased and killed by youths if sighted now.

Traders in the Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday shut down activities to protest the planned installation of female and male market leaders “Iyaoloja” and “Babaloja” respectively in the hub.

The traders told a Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria covering the protest that the computer village was an international market that did not need such imposition of Iyaoloja.

Mr Wasiu Agbaje, an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Engineer, said that hub was not like the regular markets where such should be imposed.

Agbaje said that installing such would undermine the hub because there was no relationship between technology and Iyaoloja.

“What does the Iyaoloja and Babaloja have to offer, what value are they going to add to the hub? And what technological innovations are they bringing?

‘“The computer village is not like any other street market where pepper and other things are sold.

“It is an international technological hub and it should be treated as such,” he said.

Also, a business man who preferred anonymity, told NAN that the computer village was an international market and should be treated as such.

According to him, it will undermine the position of computer village internationally as the biggest technological hub in West Africa.

He said installing such Iyaoloja and Babaloja would contradict what the hub was known for and breach the peace there because it was not a regular market.

A Software developer, Mr Joseph Efosa, said that such installation would disturb the 25 years of peaceful existence of the hub.

Efosa said that the computer village was not a regular market and such installation was not needed.
