why is fashola even worried about non indigenes in his state when FG money (of which lagos state contributed nada) was used to develop and industrialize the state at the detriment of othrrs. every nigerian has equal right in lagos atleast until the nation is dividided – which we pray for.

Sam Milla: I went where those people were dropped at Onitsha and i can tell you that most of them are not even Pure Igbos. There ate people from Akwa Ibom, Cross River and even Rivers.

They dumped them there because Onitsha is the first major Igbo City they found after the Niger Bridge. Now Fashola has lost my vote.
now that this ridiculous story has been confirmed can amala eating fashola tell me why he has to turn my state into a dumping ground. I can guarantee 98% of those are not igbos talk more of industrious Anambra people. How did fashola tell who is Anambra or not before dumping them there. I dont know why any time is being wasted, the only sensible thing peter obi should do is to bundle them back and send them back to Lagos govt house. no brainer or protocol there.

Billyonaire: I have nothing more tell an unhappy and pro-poverty sickler like you. I guess I will leave you to wallow in your class warfare. Poor people always blame the rich for their woes, even for their malaria. If you have an opportunity to loot, I dare say you can loot more than an IBB and Abacha put together. I guess you are feeling sad cos you can barely meet up with your classmates who are doing better for themselves. Should I cherish it if a foreigner comes to showcase my latrine to the world ? Mbanu, every country has her slumps but they chose to showcase their best Cities to the world. Its called PR. I dont blame you, people like you keep washing toilets for white men simply because you hate the color of your own skin. I see no reason why Rick Ross should come to my country and display the slums on worldwide screens without doing justice to the elite class environments too. Can Rick Ross do that in USA ?
you are just a sick fool thats why after being unsuccessful in defending your dumb comments you turn to insults. I guess you did not watched the first version of the video before commenting thrash as a dummy you have always been. the problem is you are talking about ross showing the toilet part of nigeria when the whole of nigeria is a toilet. a big jungle. And by Gods grace I dont depend on the foolish govt which you are part of for anything. Am not near poor by any means far but I have a conscience when I see people suffer like I stated earlier with my ph reference. You are simply mad cos I finished your stup!d comment saying Ross should have shown the 150 private jet side of Nigeria. You can go to CNN and do that yourself you big 'rich' dummy.
PoliticsRe: A Write-up On MI's Site On Rick Ross ‘hold Me Back’ Video Shot In Nigeria by MrGlobe(m): 6:23pm On Sep 22, 2012
Billyonaire: You are not a true Nigerian, I think your head is wired to function properly in a different geographical clime. Open another thread to enable me address the issue of private jets ownership. I can mention more than 30 billionaires with private jets in the private sectors, but doing that will be derailing this thread and obeying your diversionary tactic from the purpose of this thread. You need to start joining social clubs like Ikoyi Club, Polo Club etc to know people. Stop sounding convictions on issues you know nothing about. I maintain that Rick Ross - I am his great fan. I love the fact that he depicted the true nature of Lagos slums, courtesy demands that the video depending on the concept and the message he was passing should have showed the other affluent Nigerian Neighborhoods as a motivation to those slump dwellers to know that some day they, just like Rick Ross, can appear on billboards and tour the world like himself. It is only fair to keep that motivational sermon preached on every pulpits. Mr. Globe, I am not you, so you should respect my opinion. That being said, rest this case and open a new thread to address the diversionary issues you seek. Peace!
I will also want you to understand that you are making absolutely no point. You talked about how Rick Ross should have showed 'our private jet having side' then I told you to tell us how those private jets came about, successful businesses will naturally yield wealth for private jets but in this case we have people that have aided to making that particular slum what it is today, buying jets from looting the people's collective wealth that would have been used in helping masses. There is nothing hiding the names. I dont need to go to ikoyi club to know who owns private jets and what not. In sane climates only Dangote, and maybe a few billionaires in Nigeria should have a private jet because they have 'successful private businesses' to show for it but in the instance when Tinubu, Ifeanyi Ubah of the subsidy scam, Femi Otedola another thief, and pastors own private jets and you want Rick Ross or any other other person to praise him, you are simply Stup!d and stop disgracing yourself more by replying, you have made a blunder that cannot be fixed.

Billyonaire: Stop derailing the thread friend. America is also the center of highest of hedge funds frauds, billion dollars ponzi schemes, war-ammo corruption, Drugs cartels operations etc, with slumps at Mississippi, New Orleans etc. That's a story for another day. I love Ricky, and I love the fact that he showed Lagos slums, It is only fair to say he should have shown the 150 private jets owners neighborhoods as a motivation of hope, augmentation of faith and upliftment of the downcasted. Peace! It is only fair.
Lol, how am I derailing the thread or are you drunk. Name the private businesses of the people that own private jets. Its that too hard for you to do? How many people own private jets in America. List them and I will tell you their private businesses. Say your own. Always pointless as usual
PoliticsRe: A Write-up On MI's Site On Rick Ross ‘hold Me Back’ Video Shot In Nigeria by MrGlobe(m): 5:37pm On Sep 22, 2012
Billyonaire: Rick Ross depicted half truth. In as much as I cherish the truth about the ugly side of Lagos slums, we are also a country with 150 private jets flying billionaire. USA is first and Nigeria & China battles second place in Private-Jets ownership. I expected to see that part of Nigeria too. Nigerians need a motivation not just castigation of our ugly side.
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
You don come again.
So you want Rick Ross to show the 150 private jets from the monies looted from the people that caused the 'makoko slum situation' . I no blame you, naija politician. The Nigerian people that own private jets, what are their private businesses, let us know please

safarigirl: chai! Another waste of black skin, dem boku for Naija. Who told you Lagos is the worst liveable city? One oyibo sat in the comfort of his office and concocted a warped up research, then released some bullsh!t statistics, na im una swallow, hook, line and mugu, just because oyibo talk am. So Lagos is worse than Mogadishu, Port au Prince, Manila, Kabul and millions of other cities that no one mentioned in the so-called research? When will Africans learn to use their brains? You are who you say you are, so if Nigerians say they are poor, corrupt, tribalistic, illiterates, that's what everyone will know you as. Don't know bout you, but I definitely am none of that.Rick Ross is a bullsh!t artist, with senseless music and y'all will keep worshipping his crap, M.I is a much better artiste.
I don't have to feed into your inferiority complex. You have a dumb brain, so since you know 'oyibo people sit in the comfort of their rooms and produce research' why haven't you or any of your slum hiding fellow activists produced yours to refute their claims. O yes, there are places in Lagos worse than those places you listed. Its lots like you that make us remain where we are as a race because you will never rediscover yourself. You want the whole world to praise you for living in stalk poverty when there are resources that could have made the nation better. Like I said people like you are the problems of Africa and must get killed before this continent will move forward.

Today, everybody is saying fashola this, fashola that, many people (myself inclusive) dont know there are these kinds of places in lagos. I was very surprised watching the video and that is what you want to be hidden why your VI and Banana islands are shown to the world. You are simply and Id/iot.
PoliticsRe: A Write-up On MI's Site On Rick Ross ‘hold Me Back’ Video Shot In Nigeria by MrGlobe(m): 2:19pm On Sep 22, 2012
londoner: If he created a video in Nigeria and it showed the poor, it is a reflection of reality. It should be balanced though, because we have always seen only the negative side in the media anyway.

He just added to it.

Even though every city is not Abuja or Victoria Island, there are also many Nigerians who live a normal life who are not p*ss poor........where do they get represented?

It is not just either poverty or luxury.

I do find it a hypocrisy on the side of Rick Ross though.

If you look at him and almost all of his Black rapper colleagues, 99% of them come from ghettos were they have nothing in comparison to the rest of society, where they have people who make up more than their fair share of the prison population, gang violence etc.

They may mention it once or twice in their career, but after that, they also always show and talk about money, diamonds, mansions, jet planes etc in their songs and videos.

He needs to ask himself how many rappers and other US artists, always show the truth in their own songs and videos.

In fact they show the exact opposite of what their own communities live.
guy you a lie. Every rapper alway talk about their hood in their songs, hardly will you find rap album without a 'hood reference'. who doesnt know jayz is from the projects, have you also watched the first video version of this song. their flashing wealth is just to show they made it from the ghetto. not like Nigerian artist that forget their origins and go abroad to shoot videos.

I remember Iwas in Port Harcourt sometime and I stimbled on a community inside the main portharcourt city where people live and raise families in entirely bamboo, planks and zinc houses. I was so touched, I heard when rain falls it floods those houses and after the rain they begin to scoop out water. Now if there is anyway I can get the whole world attention to that, I wont waste a second. God punish all you shallow thinking individuals talking about how your gutter image has been damaged.
PoliticsRe: A Write-up On MI's Site On Rick Ross ‘hold Me Back’ Video Shot In Nigeria by MrGlobe(m): 1:30pm On Sep 22, 2012
Blackteeth: This is not really about a video portraying the truth about the situation of Nigeria. But the fact is that the video should have portrayed both the positive and negative together so that it wouldnt look as if Nigeria is 100% slums. Some foreigners may think Nigeria is 100% slums just watching that video. And thats not really nice. Things like this is what fires up racism and portrayal of the black man as sub-humans.
stop decieving yourself, there is no positive in nigeria, even your VI's, Banana islands, are overrated slums by international standards, atleast thats what it is to Rick Ross who lives in Miami. If there is a positive side theb lagos would not have been rated the worst liveable city in the world by an organisation, not Rick Ross this time. keep living a deceit, a symptom of poverty and illiteracy that has ravaged the land. Critic rick ross and fear your corrupt leaders.

HNosegbe: It's a good thing you rightly called it "sentiment", because that's exactly what it is.

However, if we follow your line of thought the north should have been the most developed part of Nigeria, since they have been in power the longest. However we both know that is not the case. This theory that my kinsman must be in power for my region to develop is at the root of many of our problems. Let's face it: NO part of Nigeria has truly benefited from it. Not the north, not the west, neither will the east.

Until we stop this "he is my brother" sentiment and insist on voting for truly credible, patriotic, visionary and competent individuals AT ALL LEVELS, Nigeria ain't going nowhere.
what an embarassment you are, you probably eat ewedu too. Every other tribe has ruled and continued to rule Nigeria through that same 'he is my brother' except igbos and they have all fuked the country up. How many Federal projects are in igboland as compared to other places. No good roads/airport. The north has not developed because every mallam is marrying 20 wives and giving birth to a million kids they cannot take care of not because of lack of federal govt presence.
orji is very right. one nigeria is a fat illusion. The same people who tell u one nigeria are still the hypocrites that employ only their tribes people in their establishments or federal position. Nigeria is a mess and will continue to be so until laws and institutions are strenghtend, no magic about it, no credible individual too, so that Nigeria messiah you are waiting for is pipe dream. Igbos must produce a president not to necessarily better the nation but to keep the tradition of tribal presidency. its a right as there is no other workable option. stay there and keep dreaming of one nigeria let these corny folks keep using you
