F117A: Well Nigerians will demand a direct economic response against ghana.
Shoot them below the knees and cripple them finally.
Anyway,i trust the minister of trade and investments, he can be pretty ruthless as attested by the ghanians.
This is probably the excuse he needs to finally shut out the few ghanian products still entering the Nigerian market.
Intriguing times.
lol, let him try it and u will see who will loose more. Do u know the number of nigerians doing biz over here? Dangoate, glo, zenith bank. u let him try and see who will cry at last.

GHKWAME1: No wonder Nigerians Scramble for Ghanaian Passports. Nigerian travellers are now disguising as citizens of other countries in West Africa, especially
Ghana, and obtaining their passports which they
use to travel to Asia and other parts of the
world.

nigerians-scramble-ghanaian-passports
i heard that one too, i wasnt happy at about that. If u apply to be a ghanaian , u will be given a ghanaian passport but to pretend to be ghanaian just to get our passport and go tarnish our image is very very awful.

Dcmg: Excuse Excuse Excuse.
Dignity in Laziness.Ok
lol, we who built schools where nigerians attend are lazy? We who built markets that your people trade in are lazy? We who have genuine works and is respected accross the world are lazy? Nigga, are u retarded?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 2:58pm On Sep 26, 2014
GHKWAME1: The Ghanaian in the eyes of a Nigerian is lazy because he will not indulge in shady deals (fraud) and go out to break rules and regulations, a walking insult like you cannot dent the image of Ghanaians.
dont mind him, for ghanaians respect and dignity is treasured than getting money at all cost through shady deals.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 2:53pm On Sep 26, 2014
Dcmg: Why won't ghanaian traders lose out when they are very lazy and unserious.Competition is what they need and that's why Nigerian traders are waxing very strong.
Just imagine, you go to a ghanian trader's shop to get some goods, sometimes the ghanaian trader will tell you "i'm tired i can't sell",but his shop is open and what you want to buy is very present but at times they would tell you "i'm tired i can't sell".What is that suppose to mean?If you can't sell can't you stay in you house?Na by force to be trader?
u nigerians are great traders and hardworking as u claim then why do they a problem going back home to do business?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 2:32pm On Sep 26, 2014
GHKWAME1: Nigeria can afford to cushion its coffers with billions of oil inflows, Ghana does not. There is nothing to negotiate, I keep stressing that all over the world, there are no go areas for foreigners.
i agree with u now. with what they did to the chinese in nigeria, then they shouldnt be complaining at all now.

GHKWAME1: Lagos Traders battle Chinese over market invasion
The Embroidery Dealers Association and the
association of Nigerian Marketers of the Balogun
market and Ereko Idumota area of Lagos Island
have staged a protest to the office of Iyaloja of
the market, Alhaja Habitat Mogaji, over the
alleged invasion of their markets by some
Chinese, who they claimed have almost taken
over their business.
The aggrieved traders also stormed Alausa, in no
fewer than 10 BRT Buses loaded with their
members to express their anger to Lagos State
government.
The protest, Inside Lagos discovered, took place
following an allegation that the Chinese importers
had allegedly brought disrepute to the smooth
running of their business by flooding the market
with inferior quality textile and hair products
being sold at ridiculously cheap prices.
Speaking with one of the lace fabric dealers,
Alhaja Muheebat Adeoye, she claimed that the
Chinese were not only allegedly robbing the
traders but also the consumers, explaining that
“these Chinese have Nigerians fronting for them
in our markets and they mix high ones products
with the inferior quality even as they sell at very
cheap rates
. The buyers cannot differentiate
because the imitation is so perfect that one will
hardly know the fake and they are killing our
business because we don’t sell anymore”.
She declared that the market was closed in order
to express their objection to the Chinese dealers
in the market as they were not satisfied with the
way the Chinese were continually ruining their
business.
She went further to inform that it was usually
difficult to get the original imported lace sold
because the Chinese had allegedly produced an
imitation, the same pattern of materials and sold
at very low rate.
According to her, “we cannot get the imported
lace again in Lagos market, the so called
Chinese have destroyed the market for instance
they sold the material of fifteen thousand at
three thousand naira”
.
Lamenting also, a leather box trader, Mr. Adeolu
Owolabi, noted that “as the situation is presently,
some traders who are the beneficiaries of the
Chinese products are not happy with the protest,
while others whose businesses are affected are
satisfied with the situation. Honestly, these
Chinese are killing our business and we want the
government to do something about this because
this cannot obtain in their own country
. How can
they rob us of our rights” he queried.

GHKWAME1: And what if it happens? 91 products are already banned from Ghana into Nigeria as well as their constant sabotaging of the wapco gas to Ghana. You can't go to America and start demanding for a quota system in a place where you are not allowed to compete in.
okay if thats the case then , we have to all negotiate, something is got to give. If they allow our goods into their country then we give them a quota in our market. How about that?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 2:07pm On Sep 26, 2014
GHKWAME1: What bigger picture? so you want them to come establish okada and table top business in Ghana huh?
no boss ! I want them to get a quota as to the number of people allowed to trade in our markets. The bigger picture could be ghana must go and naija must go. It can happen again.

JiggamanGh: As a Ghanaian I am embarrased by this law. This law is stupid and should be anolished asap. As long a person no matter where je or she is from is in the country legally and has the right documents to operate business then they should be allowed to comduct business.

If Ghanaian petty traders are not t business savy enough to compete with other migrants then ao be it. The law of a country should apply to everyone that is in the country legally.
very very true massa! The law should be scrapped off, we ghanaians have to look at the bigger picture coz this could a long way to affect us and our reputation.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 1:54pm On Sep 26, 2014
londoner: Well, to be honest there is a brain gain of Nigerians going back to Nigeria from the UK and USA. If they know there are likely opportunities, they will stay back.

If they know there will be less strikes and all the other vices mentioned, they will choose to stay in Nigeria. Nigeria should replicate what Ghana is doing in the education sector, to reduce the perception of benefits of going to Ghana, instead of staying in Nigeria.
a major incentive for nigerians in the diaspora to come home will be strengthening of the naira , constant electricity. So u seriously dont want ghana to get a dime from naija?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 1:49pm On Sep 26, 2014
olodoowoh: that is where the population and government performance comes in.

A position in nigeria pays more than that same position in ghana, you can imagine a Nigerian senator earning more than the president of USA and bear it mind that the number of employed people in nigeria is more than the total population of ghana.
give me your solution to this problem?

londoner: The Nigerians we are discussing, are employing themselves, remember.

Ghana did not give them employment.

Actually, its a re-run of what happened leading up to Busia's order.

Nigeria need to see howthey can encourage students to desistt from studying in Ghana, in the long run.
i know u are very upset about this development but dont u think tit for tat myt destroy ghana's relationship with nigeria? It could even affect relationships btn two people of these nations. Dont u think so?

i just want to know the figure. Thats all

Besides Ghanaians are not discriminated during employment
how many jobs does the nigerian economy create every year?

olodoowoh: Nigeria will be the 1st country to come to any white man's mind in west Africa for investment, why?

The population of nigeria can manifest the prolific nature of any business.

The labour force of Nigeria is the highest in west africa based on statistics.

The consumer price index in nigeria is relatively lower than that of other west african countries.

Have you asked yourself why nigeria has the highest foreign partners in west africa and the GDP of nigeria keeps amplifying?
your economy is great but the question is does it create employment for majority of nigerians?

LaBellaMafiaZA: I just have low tolerance for boredom. I'd rather watch grass grow than watch some boring people on tv. I'll ditch hotshots too if it becomes a yawn. I can't stand being bored hence I talk so much tongue I'm at work & bored as we speak. Aah, it's a hard-knock life! Makes me wish I brought my hand puppets to entertain myself. Sigh.

Woza weekend!!!!

londoner: And they won't benefit if the person building the factory is Nigerian? Its not about the whiteness of the skin, my dear.

If there is a new trend of Nigerians building factoris in Ghana, would it not then be followed by the same calls for "Ghana only"

Same that happened with Nollywood and traders.
we have no problems with nigerians setting up factories ghana. Its the trading in market thats causing the issue. Like i said already, all parties must discuss this very well and find a great solution. Either to ractify that law or any other great idea.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 11:31am On Sep 26, 2014
londoner: I meant monetary gain for the Nigerian economy, not for individual Nigerians. They need to have schools/uni's that have direct links to industry. Just like in the USA they have schools that go beyond the name for the certficate purposes, its opportunity to work in the best and wll known companies.

A Nigerian student in Ghana, does not have direct inroads to a job/career during study or after graduation.
thats true, but i also think nigerians naturally love to go study in different countries, e.g s.a, ghana, u.k, u.s.a. It will very difficult to change that one.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 11:25am On Sep 26, 2014
Nobleval: stop being silly dear. We ain't talking about whites transacting business in the markets in your country. We are talking about fair play. You were ready to allow them in in the first place. Tell me...your government never thought of her citizens first? Do you know what the influx of European commodities woulda done to your local manufacturers? Your ever caring government never thought of "GHANA FIRST"? Oh! They forgot? I see....
how will our economy suffer if the whites build their factories here. Wont that create employment for our citizens?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 11:22am On Sep 26, 2014
olodoowoh: this is why i don't like arguing with ghanaians.

ok, let me help you, what's the GDP of ghana?

what's the Human development index (HDI) of ghana?

what's the gini coefficient of ghana?

what production output does ghana as a country have on africa?

those are the things that makes an economy, don't let me believe ghanaians are poorly grounded in basic economics.
inform me about it.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 11:21am On Sep 26, 2014
enigmaotr: The Government should rather impose high taxes on foreigners doing business there and use the revenue to subsidise the local business owners. There are many ways to discourage this kind of influx, but this is definitely not one of them! Who are those making these decisions over there? Do they have any economic sense at all?
great idea! Thats why i said early, the all parties must sit down and find the best solution for this problem.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by mrham03(m): 11:17am On Sep 26, 2014
londoner: I don't know. If they focus on monetary gain, it may be the motivation to make the necessary changes. Sad, but true.
i think the reason is that alot of nigerians can afford to send their kids outside so they dont really care what happens to other nigerians. U are ryt money motivation will surely be the solution for the leaders to enfore the law. Africans and money. Lol.

the question is whether the government and school authorities are ready to enforce those laws.
