They should come home, or go into another form of business. If any Nigerian has paid the bond, that they were made to pay. The GH government should refund it. If they don't want Nigerian traders, then Nigerians should not trade there. Nigeria needs to find a way to stem the flow of Nigerians going there to study. 1 Like |

olodoowoh: please give an instance on the bolodened above.Okay Eg some ghanaian airline companies have been trying to penetrate the nigeria market for a while now.. They had gotten everything set according to the standards in place. And called the appropriate body ncaa to inspect but they refused to come. It took the intervention of ghana government and ghana transport ministry to settle the differences. Before 2 could get license to operate. Around december last yr 1 Like |

Now consider the population of nigeria, the gypsy gene of nigerians and influence of nigeria. |

Although I am not in support of the move they authorities are making. One the educational sector if nigeria where to attract its people back they need to scrap jamb.. Create more standard universities to meet the populaces need. And reduce strike levels.. But instead they are using media to paint all ghanaian schools as mushroom and not recognized. |

iamord: The point is they got the licence. Nigeria did not spitefully create a law making it illegal or a Ghanaian carrier to operate in Nigeria. Or make them pay well over the odds to operate, did they? That would be an equivalent of what Ghana is doing and has done. If that were the case, you would have no problem seeing it as wrong, nether would the other Gh posters here, if they were to be honest. Your example is not an equivalent, when you look at the end result. 1 Like |

mrham03: help me out since u know it all.i don't know all, I try as much as possible to avoid ghanaian threads because of the way you people react to issues. The economy of both countries shouldn't be a point in this argument, the economy of nigeria is far ahead of that of ghana based on definition. Chasing potential investors out all because of jealousy or envy will only ret.ard your economy. 3 Likes |

londoner: Me personally I will even upgrade the schools and build more in ghana.. If nigeria has a population burst . Ghana can serve as an hub like they are already doing. What's a world class university without international students?? Not just nigerians |
Re: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by londoner: 10:50am On Sep 26, 2014 |
iamord: But, the Ghanaian authities have made it illegal for there to be Nigerian traders, right. That came after frustrating efforts, previously. |

If u want your country to stop the flow of nigerians coming to school in ghana then they need to make sure cultism, student violence stops in nigerian schools, uphold discipline, let the rod spare no ones child, if they misbehave in school, they must be dealt with. |

mrham03: hahaha xeno- whaaaat? U dont say lol, who told whites will go and sit in the market and trade? We have a law in ghana and it forbids foreign traders from trading in our markets, we have to enforce it to protect our citizen against foreign invation. Be it nigerians, or chinese or togelese. Ghanaians will always come first in GHANA.stop being silly dear. We ain't talking about whites transacting business in the markets in your country. We are talking about fair play. You were ready to allow them in in the first place. Tell me...your government never thought of her citizens first? Do you know what the influx of European commodities woulda done to your local manufacturers? Your ever caring government never thought of "GHANA FIRST"? Oh! They forgot? I see.... 2 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by iamord(m): 11:03am On Sep 26, 2014 |
londoner: From the trend I have notice between nigerian and ghanaian relations. We all know nigeria is the biggest market in west africa .. So nigeria uses that as an upper hand and at times do what ever they like. Cos they are hardly affected by the external influence cos of the big market within. So when nigerias frustrates other countries you will hardly hear of it. So do u expect other countries to relax at that. But there are still better ways to go about it |

mrham03: how many ghanaians rush to nigeria for job opportunites? Your economy is good but ur population is huge and it cant cover all nigerians.this is why i don't like arguing with ghanaians. ok, let me help you, what's the GDP of ghana? what's the Human development index (HDI) of ghana? what's the gini coefficient of ghana? what production output does ghana as a country have on africa? those are the things that makes an economy, don't let me believe ghanaians are poorly grounded in basic economics. 2 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by londoner: 11:10am On Sep 26, 2014 |
iamord: No, because Nigeria is so large, you actually do hear of any frustrations. Nigeria, really does not create such outrightly preventative laws for foreign businesses. They maybe make laws, which make it a win for Nigeria too, like with the automobile policy. This affects Nigeians importing cars as well as a non Nigerian. It has seen an increase of foreign firms setting up plants in Nigeria, which is what we want. More employment, knowledge sharing and investment. Look at the whole issue with Nollywood Ghallywood years ago. Look at the diference in posture in termso f making movies and employing actors from each country. Look at the attempted frustrations by the Gh side, and the absense of such by Naija. Coupled with the trend of films including both Nigerians and Ghanaians. Even though there were on or two dissenting voices, overall there was no call for prevention. Anyhoo, whats done is done, but I think it's time for Nigeria to be as protectionist as it can be. 3 Likes |

BlackTechnology: Exactly, there are posters even on Nairaland, who are Ghanaians and currently living and working in Nigeria. We have expos that even invite Ghanaian producers to show their produce and make greater connections in Nigeria. Nigeria is not trying to deter them from coming or make them feel unwelcome. |
