20k daily isn't visible at all Just have it in mind that you can be making like 10k daily, 20k will be just on your lucky day. Thanks i appreciate the response. will the 10 include cost of fueling, or 10k profit after fueling? |

BUT on a more serious note... MrHeff, try rental first to know weda you are built for this type of hustle or not. I remember vividly before I joined the hustle, my calculation of the hustle was like 1+1 =2. My expectations.... Pam Pam Pam... I go leave house so so time. Pam Pam Pam I go come back house so so time. Pam Pam Pam I go make so so amount of money. Pam Pam Pam I go save so so amount of money. I even told myself say, since nah inside ac I go dey drive always, I go fresh like newborn baby. After some months into the hustle, some riders begin ask me say "Is this really you? . You look lighter in your profile picture." Me go answer dem say nah the hustle Oo..
@MrHeff. There's nothing to lose by trying rentals first for few months. Thanks a lot. But which one is ovens ooo. Genuinely lost as to that slang lol |

izzou: Ohh, and there's more
Learn to understand how the Map works. You can start now. When you take a bike or a bus, use the map and see how it directs you
The app in itself is straightforward. The challenge in the job is mostly how to drive and survive here. So you need to be smart...very smart
Do not park anyhow in Lagos. If you aren't sure about anywhere, ask people around. Don't make U-turns anyhow...Be very observant.
Obey traffic laws, signs and lights even if it's 12 midnight. Remember, all traffic personnels are out there to eat you...So protect your pocket with all thy might
Do not drag lanes with other road users,...at least not all the time. Learn to protect your car from scratches.
Learn to make friends with other drivers. Whenever you get to a gathering of the brethren, make friends. You'll be surprised how much you can learn from them in a short while
Also, when you go to your mechanic for a repair or anything, don't just drop the car and walk away. Observe what he's doing. With the right tools, you'll be able to repair that fault again and save money.
Learn to carry out minor repairs on your cars... little repairs like changing serpentine belt, brake pads can be done by you. Get the right spanners and you'll be fine. You can get spares of these items in your trunk.. Brake pads are about 1k to 2k... Serpentine belt is not up to 1k
Sincerely, you'll be fine...Above all, pray to God oh..Na only am fit help us You are divine sent. Thanks a whole lot. I would be reaching out to you more when i start fully, if you wouldn't mind. |

izzou: HP is synonymous with rentals. The only difference is that you bear the cost of repairs and maintenance in HP
As a newbie, you'll struggle and make mistakes, but just be patient and learn fast. You'll be fine.
Remember, the reward is the car. So don't be discouraged if you pay your rent any week and you have nothing on you.
I don't know what the car will cost, so I can't advice how much rent is okay...
Just keep reading here. Keep learning about the job, road networks, ups and downs
You'll be fine this is very encouraging, thanks a whole lot. |

So what's the repayment plan like? we haven't discussed it yet. The sponsor actually is my sister. Told her I wanted to make findings first, then we'd talk specifics after. We'll talk about it tomorrow though. Any advice on how much will be feasible to remit weekly and duration? izzou: You really need to consider the principal and interest involved, and also the repayment period
An 09 corolla would definitely cost more, and take longer to complete the payment.
An 05 corolla would cost lesser and faster to repay.
So which of the devils would you stick with? I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and stick with the 05. |

How much is a good amount to remit weekly to my sponsor that will be convenient for both of us? I am thinking of using a 2008 corolla, will it be a good idea economically and maintenance wise? or do you have any idea of a better car to use? Your soonest answer would be most appreciated. coker007: The past 10 pages have been incredible, they've been an eye-opener isn't it?.....you feel this is just great people are making money they're chopping alone and shouting enu gbe!!!
You sef reason am, how person go talk say 5h too much to chop a day, gala is 50bucks and 2 alone is not enough for a whole day, plantain chips is 100 naira and 1 is obviously not enough for a whole day even Sprite, coke or biggie drinks can't do you for a whole day all these added together is 4h and be reminded that quantity is not quality, even if you dedicate time to eat at iya ibasira you're wasting quality time you could use getting real orders. Me personally I don't eat anything just so I can meet all my personal Targets but to say 5h is too much to chow?.....Bros I don't understand what you're running on. My advice eat fruits high in calories and proteins they don't digest as fast as carbs and are nutritious but Don't do milk and beans they have more carbs than proteins, except it's full cream milk (expensive shit)
Secondly, some people have just been receiving miracles from eledumare left right and centre because na only you him create.... lemme cast hypocrites here.......IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE BOLT RIDER ACCOUNT YOU USE TO ORDER RIDES AND YOU ACCEPT THEM WITH YOUR DRIVER ACCOUNT JUST TO BEAT THE CAMPAIGNS, PUT DOWN YOUR HAND...... just as I thought, there's no miracle anywhere you're just street smart and all the same you're a fraud (it's blatantly told on bolt driver training)
Moreover, if you use kazeem oju-elegba or autoworks workshop there would definitely be a difference between the two and if you don't know this you don't know value and quality but all the same sha it's always advisable to go for the one your pocket can cover.....someone once told me: THE PURPOSE OF GETTING MONEY IS TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS, IF YOU HAVE MONEY BUT AREN'T SOLVING ANY PROBLEMS RELATED TO YOU OR NOT THEN THAT FELLOW IS DEAD.....this is one of the reasons we grind everyday (very deep stuff when he told me with his mouth). No one ever says it is the tools that he used that were faulty, it is always the person using the faulty tools that is blamed, therefore ensure you're using the right tools for the right job to avoid stories that touch
Finally, we're here attacking each other when we should be with one voice....these prices are too low GADDAMN!!!! Lekki phase 1 to ajah price range: 1500-2100 wtf?!!!.......we all know there are eavesdroppers here why not let them know wetin dey sup....to be clean in this grind is tuff and if you're here trying to claim baba nla won on someone's shaft then I'm sorry we don't deserve you here.
One day e go pay no give up......GBAYI ORE!!!! Hello sir. Sorry to disturb. I saw this post and guessed you are a rider. Please i would like to ask a few questions about it. kodred: 1. As a beginner, expect to average 5-10k for the first two weeks, then as you progress, you’ll learn and come up with strategies to boost your earnings. These days, it’s not about working hard, using your head is a better option.
2. Any option you eventually choose is good although the 09 won’t be bad but I can’t say the same to your finances lol. The corolla is a durable vehicle. If it’s a foreign used car, please stick to manufacturer’s recommended engine oil and service promptly.
3. As a total jew, you need to dialogue with your intended partner to allow for some laxity in payment for at least 2 weeks(if you a fast learner) then from there you guys can agree on a fixed amount (industry price is 20-30k weekly)
4. You also need to be sharp and calm. Try as much as possible not to loose your guard when driving or parked waiting for trips.
5. You will learn other things as you progress in the hustle. amazing. Thanks a lot |

Hello everyone. Maximum greetings and respect to all the riders here. You are all doing a great job.
I am thinking of going into uber on a hire purchase deal. I already have a sponsor, but it's my first time so I came here to ask a few questions. I hope you all will be kind enough to oblige me.
1. As a rider in Lagos, how much can I conveniently make daily? And also how much can I make if I decide to work extra hard? In other words, Average to maximum?
2. Will it be okay for me to use a 2007-2009 Corolla for it? Will it be good maintenance wise? Especially when I still need to remit to my sponsor weekly? Or should I stick to the usual 2004 corolla?
3. How much should I plan on remitting weekly to my sponsor? An amount where I can conveniently pay promptly without issues, and still make something for myself would be most appreciated.
Also, further tips on what to do and expect would be most appreciated. Thank you all in advance. Great job guys |
