If you really want to be effective at applying excellent Risk/Money Management.....Think about this

2014, I had the urge to do a fixed deposit of about 1.5M with one of our Nigerian banks, thus curious about what the interest on the fixed deposit would be. I did the survey on about 5 top banks and the maximum interest rate I could get was about 5-6% per annum. I started with FirstBank on monthly rollover based. Surprisingly, the 5-6% was again manipulated to suit the monthly based plan, like it was again divided by 12. I got almost nothing and had to quit after 2months of dissatisfaction.

Some months after, I went into some banks in England to do fixed deposit with them hoping to earn my interest in pounds. In fact, the most shocking, the bank managers told me point blank that there is almost zero interest in fixing money with them. I did not think it twice, I knew fixing money in banks may not yield a feasible interest.

Fast forward early this year, I contacted the banks again, particularly GTB. The agent mentioned about 5% per annum. I told her to not let us discuss % but the value. I asked her to help tell me the interest value per annum on 500k fixed deposit, she did it and gave me an answer of about 11k interest per annum. I got totally discouraged about fixing money.

That has helped me to think if I can trade FX with a confirmed assurance of constant minimum monthly inflow of 20% (no greed here), it might sometimes be more and that is why I leave trade to trend to exhaustion on the daily TF, that will do. With the assurance, one can live on FX with good capital.

Lesson
-When you fund your FX live account, think about it in a form of fixed deposit. your assured 20% constant monthly profit is far better than the annual interest you would have got if fixed in the bank
-Why the greed?
-Learn to ride slowly and steadily: I have abandoned the FX market many times, many years. This is 2016, the market still exists.
-Use comfortable lot size that will put your mind at rest.
-What many people neglect is testing also their risk/money management skills on demo, they only focus on testing strategies: Excellent strategy, poor Risk/Money management is failure

GBPJPY In the extremely unlikely event BOE cuts rate to 0.00%, Sell GBP immediately on a spike trade. (its risky but thats how we make and lose big money ) Because of the level of this surprise, there would be a strong trend change for GBP in the next few weeks, however If they decide to keep rates unchanged (like the last time), we could see some fundamental sentiment change and might start buying GBP for a definite period.

For those who think one only gets lucky making intelligent trading decisions based on economic indicators .. please ignore this tip

The last market update which includes pairs (AU and NCAD) are fantastic. Very excellent turn and turn lock-in confirmed and now good pips running.

They added to the no. of positive pairs in the basket making a very excellent profit cumulative. The following pairs are just about to turn, then a turn lock-in shall be confirmed by 10PM today............For now, I let them do all that they can, it is up to them.

AN
If turn lock-in is confirmed, I shall close the buy which is currently at 76.1 pips, it may be less or more by 10PM today (who knows?), then turn to sell it.

GA
If turn lock-in is confirmed, I shall close the buy which is currently at 122.3 pips, it may be less or more by 10PM today (who knows?), then turn to sell it.

GN
If turn lock-in is confirmed, I shall close the buy which is currently at 550.5 pips, it may be less or more by 10PM today (who knows?), then turn to sell it.

Others told me they still wanna continue their current trend that I should check them again tomorrow for tomorrow's 10PM update. I told them no problem, that it is their world.

Meanwhile, any pair at the moment not in the basket from all the pairs provided by my broker, are definitely in their ranging periods, until they free themselves from that position, I will never trade them.........Though they also told me they may be out from that ranging sh.it by Thursday/Friday.

In my view and recent experience the answer is c... I got hit below the belt because I wanted more... I was making decent profits up until a few days ago, and then a friend opted to help me install a robot... I WANTED MORE!

Human beings naturally want to make more ... And so we overstrecth our accounts... But i think if i had my health at the time I could have monitored it, and possibly averted this disaster that has befallen me...

GBP/JPY hit my SL (though within a safe limit), I just guarded some pips not to far from BE, just incase the market was going to move in my favour.

Slashed +10 pips and +0.1% into my account... GBP/USD is still running but guarded, just in case...

i am sorry to disagree with you on the bolded...warren buffet is a legend on this field and if he charges $1m for a 1 hour training and i have the money i will pay. there is a little difference between those who just market and those who actually makes the money,bros buffet is the 4th world richest dude if i remember clearly or among the top ten. my personal advice is listen when that dude speaks cos he has more than the results to prove his got the brains,his achievements speaks louder...just my 2 cents though
