I sense that there maybe some fundamental reason for the JPY to lose some steam... Cad may not have the long term strenght, but I expect that Usd should....

I have also been on this pair BUY at the same time since 29th of Sept. and currently on 137.9 pips.

Though the current trend and swing is up, I cannot recommend adding additional buy and cannot say if it will continue the uptrend...The long signal on the D1 is getting varnished and there is no clear signal yet on the W1 to say if the buy will continue.

If you have been long on it, good for you, I will come here to update you when you may likely pull out and take your profit squarely. the buy is already getting exhausted.

I have been on the buy since 29th of Sept with about 250.0 pips at the moment.

I think buying the pair this time may not last, except you want to leave it for a month because I can see a fresh buy divergence on the W1


Added: At the moment, difference between my indicated SL and current price, is what you might be risking if you buy the pair NOW.
I can only suggest you buy it if and only if you want to do it on a long term basis (about 2 months), this is based on a clear buy I can see on the weekly chart, still with the same SL on my chart (not changing)
If you buy now, though the swing and trend is currently uptrend but it is too late to enter for small pips (say no to M1 - H1 buy on this on at the moment). If you do, it may mean you would be risking too many for small pips, that's if you are planning short term.

I offloaded my last month trade not because it was the end of the month as price movement is patterned by days, weeks or months. They are just tags to achieve uniformity amongst all traders and brokers all over the world.

I closed my trades because I sensed they were all almost exhausted, and because Friday was my engagement/traditional, Saturday was church followed by reception. I knew I would not have access to the market before its close on the Friday, thus, I closed all with total profit of about times 3 of my balance. Then I started another basket last market open (Sunday, 10PM)

N.B the above is just for information purposes only and an excerpt of what I consider to enter my trades.
I use other tools like EMA, Heiken Ashi candles and Trendline.

Now for those itching to buy GBPJPY, With my analysis I will only buy if price does some thing like the chart below using the previous support and resistance trading method.

From Daily chart, Price is approaching a support area, To buy this pair and for confirmation of the support holding or not. I will switch to the next lower tf and look for change of trend formation, price forming HH and HL on H4

Picking Tops and Bottoms is a fast way to burn your account especially when you don't know how to do it. It's just like support and resistance trading where traders just take trades hoping a particular S/R will hold without any confirmation of taking the trade.

Scenario 1: "You see a strong Resistance with nice 3 touches and you thought, wow, this res. is going to hold and price is going to move down, it looks like the best trade of the year only for price to spike and take ur stop loss and then continue in your said direction".

What went wrong with the " scenario 1" above?
Lack of Good entry strategy, Traders not waiting for confirmation of the said resistance holding before taking a trade


Scenario 2- Price hitting a nice strong resistance like the scenario 1 above.. This time, market decides to move down to your predicted direction like 80 pips below your entry and then "puff", price shot up, took ur stop loss and continue moving up breaking ur so-called strong resistance.

- What went wrong with Scenario 2? Lack of confirmation before taking the trade.


These Two Scenarios do happen to most Traders over and over again and they still continue to make same mistakes because they want to get into trade early. Trying to pick 'Tops and Bottoms"

If you are a forex trader and you still find yourself trading like this, then it's time to find a solution to ur ENTRY STRATEGY"

Bro, I am still on CHFJ since the same time we entered (Last Fri.) but has been ranging since then. I always avoid finding myself in this market situation, but some cases are just inevitable. So what I do when I find myself in this kind of market is I widen my stop to allow it do all it can until the pivot is taken away, once taken away, I enter the opposite (this time sell)/

As for GCAD, I have been selling it since last week Monday and still on about 452.6pips (see attached), you can only buy if you see a strong support on your side, else, trend continues.

My brother I just received a lecture now now about the folly of 'Bottom Picking'.... And the virtues of 'Trend Trading.'

The teacher says the former is impossible with retail forex.

- Almost everyday, we want to check those online, those viewing the forum, those making comments
- We wanna quote one another, like posts and share.
- We wanna correct one another either in the hard or soft way.
- We run here to hear opinions of others during our hard and soft times.
- We then end up spending a larger percentage of time in a day here with one another.

Why is that so? This is because

- Friends (street or home based friends) and family do not want to hear or believe you trade forex, they lack the understanding and hence no single interest. But this forum brings everyone together from all over the world, so we can discuss it and strengthen one another. Come to think of it, if I do not come here to do all stated in paragraph 1 with you, is it the ab.oki at the airport or in local market changing money that I will now be discussing it with.........you see why you are my closest friends

In conclusion, I seconded that we should love and respect one another, do not chastise but correct with humility.

Those of you who took this trade or pretend not to take it , you 'll likely get to your 1000 pips destination by next week, i 'll ride mine to 2000 , although will look for another sell entry of 1000 pips to accompany the senior trade to destination....

Yes bro, still very much valid.

Reasons:
- It is a call on daily TF, and it was made just yesterday
- SL gap still very reasonable because price has been very sluggish, no spike that would have caused a widened SL.
