Yesterday elections held in 4 states APC won 3 out of the four in Katsina, Bauchi and Kwara. Kwara state is one of the state even some PDP supporters were even predicting that APC will struggle to get 25% with the presence of PDP national leader and campaign DG Atiku/Obi presidential campaign Bukola Saraki, but PDP lost, even in Bauchi which is the region of Atiku I.e Northeast PDP still lost. Secondus has lost elections in Ekiti, Osun, Bauchi senatorial and also Katsina senatorial, before yestersay humiliation. The only election PDP won yesterday was in cross river state which is just a procession to compensate the widow of the late house member. Please if Secondus has any shame im him left, he should just resign and handover to another person to navigate the Atiku/Obi campaign or else PDP will be heading for yet another defeat come Febraury 2019 |

The national chiarman of the ruling All progressive congress APC comrade Adams Oshiomole has maintained that Peter Obis suitability as the Vice presidential candidate of the PDP is still a subject of controversy in the Southeast region were he came from. Oshiomole said this after the endorsement of APC presidential candidate President Muhammadu Buhari by the chieftains of United Progressive Party UPP headed by Chief Chekwas Okorie. Oshiomole pointed out that the choice of Vice presidential candidate of APC Proffessor Yemi Osinbajo is widely accepted by the people of the southwest region but that cannot be said of Peter Obi. Oshiomole also denied that the ruling All progressive congress APC is facing any crises. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GhP9F4IVkk |
hush15:You can only push APC to the wall if you have the majority. The only thing APC will do is to allow free and fair elections and boom, PDP is finished |
CilicMarin:Pmb will also hand Federal power to Obiano to deal with Peter Obigot, Obiano and APGA are fully in support of PMB, Obi the bigot and Northern hater will be decimated in Anambra by the combined effort of Ngige, Andy Uba, Authur Eze, Emeka Offor, Victor Umeh, Tony Nwoye and Willie Himself. In Abia state, Alex Otti of APGA is the next governor of Abia state, go and write it down somewhere, Abia state is the capital of IPOB and they will not vote Alex Otti and Uche Ogah will give PDP a veryyyy close fight. Gov. Umahi is a good friend of Ogbonnaya Onu he will deliver Ebonyi to PMB. In imo APC already have PACT will APGA to deliver him, Rochas has reaffirmed his support for PMB and they will drop animosity with Uzodiimma and Eze Madumere and co to deliver PMB here,. With Ararume, Osita Izunaso, Rochas, Madumere, Senator Benjamin Uwajimuogu, Theodore Ekechi, Hope Uzodiimma, Prof Anwuka Mark my word, APGA will win imo in Governorship, PMB will clinch presidential in Imo. |

Igbo Muslims under the aegis of South Eastern Muslims Organisation of Nigeria (SEMON), say they have not gained anything from the government since the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorate in 1914. The group, in a communiqué issued at the end of a conference held on Sunday, accused the federal government of marginalisation. The group said Igbo Muslims are always disqualified from contesting elections. According to the group, the greatest challenge of Igbo Muslims is their alleged “total exclusion from the political scheme in Nigeria.” The group said no Igbo Muslim has been given any political appointment at any government level. It, therefore called on its members to actively participate in politics by vying for elective positions and voting during elections. “Igbo Muslims have been law-abiding and peaceful citizens of Nigeria. We have sustained the fear of God and patriotism, as well as our trust and loyalty in the Federal Government of Nigeria,” the communiqué read. “But we are never known by the leaderships of Nigeria and our states when it comes to appointments. We want the federal government of Nigeria and the governments of our south-east states to adequately note this high level of political exclusion of Igbo Muslims in Nigeria “However, we appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari for his efforts in developing Nigeria. We want him to remain focused in the fight against corruption and to be detribalised in his appointments even while putting merit above other considerations. “We pray for him and we promise to always support good leadership for Nigeria. On the same note, we call on the Southeast governors and local government chairmen to protect us and our worship places and to carry us along in the socio-political and economic arrangements for citizens without discrimination against us. “We pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria and plead with politicians to play by the rules as the 2019 general elections approach. And despite the unfavourable political climate for us in our hometowns and states, we wish Igbo Muslim politicians the best in future general elections Bolustical ipobarethieves Corrinthians Omololu001 raumdeuter GavelSlam ORIENTATION101 Roger3D Shehunoshewhat Lordofthewest MYHUBBY shukuokukobambi, caseless |
Premium Times Wednesday, November 14, 2018 Abuja 28 Menu You can’t have Igbo king in Cross River – Traditional rulers November 14, 2018Cletus Ukpong Cross River state Cross River state Traditional rulers in Cross River State cautioned the Igbos resident in the state against creating the position of Eze Ndi Igbo (the king of the Igbos) in the state, as that would amount to “creating a kingdom where they are not empowered by the law to do so.” The traditional rulers were reacting to the plan by the Igbo community in the state to “install/coronate” one E. A. Ezenweanyi as the Eze Ndigbo of Cross River State. The traditional rulers, in a press statement issued on Tuesday, said, “The Igbos have every right to assemble as a community in Cross River State and pursue their legitimate rights under a leader who may be known as President General of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, President of Igbo Community in Cross River State, but not as Eze Ndi Igbo, a revered traditional title reserved for monarchs in the respective Igbo kingdoms. “The said leader is not to bear the titles of His Majesty (HM), His Royal Majesty (HRM), or His Highness (HH).” The statement, signed by Paramount Ruler of Bakassi and the Chairman, Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council, Etim Edet, and the Paramount Ruler of Calabar Municipality, Patrick Agbor, also warned the Igbo leader in Calabar against awarding chieftaincy title, whether traditional or honorary, to any person within the territories of Cross River State. “Igbos in Cross River State can celebrate their day as may be convenient to them and may invite traditional rulers from within and outside the state to attend if they so wish,” the statement added. The chairman of the traditional rulers’ council, Mr Edet, told PREMIUM TIMES, Wednesday, he and others sought for clearance from the councils of traditional rulers in the South-east before issuing the statement. “The response I got from the traditional rulers in the South-east was that the title of Eze Ndi Igbo was an exclusive one for kings in Igbo land and that we should not allow it in Cross River. “I now asked, ‘how about those who have been using it?’ and they told me ‘Those using it illegally have been asked to stop forthwith,’” he said. “There is this example in Cross River State, of one Elunnor who was a medical doctor here in Cross River state. He has a flourishing clinic here. He was the president of Igbo community here in Cross River State then. When he wanted to be a king he went back to Anambra State and at the last meeting I attended in Benin I saw him. He said he is now a traditional ruler in Anambra and he is there. “So, if Ezenweanyi wants to be a king he cannot be in Cross River State; he should go to his place and become a king. “You should be aware that since 2004 or thereabouts, there have been several attempts to do this (have Eze Ndi Igbo in Cross River), but the state government kicked against it. “You cannot be a king and begin to give chieftaincy titles in a strange territory. Where is your kingdom in Cross River state? Where is your clan? This is not about an association, but about kingship which is a creation of statutes. We need to protect it, hence our reaction. “We have Efik community in America, but there is no way you can have Obong of Calabar in the U.S. “Where do you derive your power from to become a king? It is either by statutes or by nature, so where do you derive yours from?” Mr Edet said the Igbo community in Cross River have accepted not to coronate anybody as their king in Cross River, and for showing such understanding he said he has directed the Cross River State council of traditional rulers to attend their ceremony to cement the relationship and encourage inter-ethnic unity and peace in the state. |
