The first few days of camp can be sooooo exhausting, most times it feels you can't survive it. Don't worry you will!! I almost left the camp because of the stress.I survived, u can too. So prepare ur mind, it 3 weeks of inconvenience, U are going to be doing a lot of things against ur will. So if u are having ego, just keep at home before going to camp.
You will get use to everything, queuing up, standing for hours, waking up as early as 4am, doing everything at a stipulated time etc.

Using myself as a case study, I didn't partake in ANY activity but I luck was kind of on myside. Everybody wouldn't be as lucky, so here are activities that aids good ppa posting
Ppa means (place of primary assignment), where u will be posted after camp.
- try to contest for any exco position in ur platoon, positions like (platoon leader, asst platoon leader, sport, social)if u win, this positions gives u closer access to ur platoon inspector(an NYSC official),this certainly aids good ppa posting.

Just got to my ppa, a Muslim school, First assignment, Principal asked me to flog some student after informin him we were told not to in camp. He said he his commissioning me to o, but thank goodness another teacher collected the long ass cane from me. I was actually shakin, the floger shakin! shey it suppose to be the floggee dat will be shakin nw, lol. I Avnt beaten anyone before, don't blame me, ;Dpitied them too.. I sha didn't flog anyone finally. What a way to welcome "party"

lol, I registered with Winners chapel first when I got to the Local Govt, christ Embassy came latter, and there "offer" was mouth watering, I carried my luggage from winners chapel bus shapely .. We were lodged at a very nice hotel extremely close to the local government secretariat for the period of our registration, 2 per room.. Once again, thanks Christ Embassy

@Mrjojo. Thanks for the latest info you are passing across. When is the camp closing? How can those Nursing Mother Corp Member get their own first alawi?

camp is closing officially on Monday(16/11/15).. Nursing mothers will av to find their way to camp before Monday, First allawee is always paid by cash.

It not compulsory you join any group in camp.
Some groups can be helpful sometimes though. Like the OBS(you can avoid parade) and the red cross (to dodge parade sometimes)
Some peeps are saying joining some groups aids good ppa posting (obs, redcross, sdg, Hiv). I don't know yet, till Monday when posting letter will be given. Will update then
Av not been participating in any activity nor with any group(I don't av d strength), and no consequence whatsoever for now.Till Monday wen I see my posting

light is very regular, Toilet/bathroom depends on the particular hostel u will be staying, avoid ajimobi hall and it extension. Other hostels av got good toilet.

OYO CAMP REGISTRATION (4)
You will also be given ur meal ticket at your platoon stand along side the file..Lost the meal ticket and you can kiss the camp food bye bye..
Some guys have double or more tickets, i.e they collect meal twice or more. Some big girl/guys don't eat the kitchen food,(mammy people), so they give their meal ticket out to any interested person.
Step 7: Passport photograph will be taken after ur swearing in ceremoney.The passport will be taken in ur crested short attire, with #250.Ensure u participate, u will need the passport, no matter how many other passport you are coming with.
Step 8 : the passport you took will be given to u some days later, 4copies.
Step 9: collection of "cerificate format, signing, and attachent of one of the nysc crested passport.
Step 10: "Book of Life"This is the last stage of registration. This book of life is a way of confirming you served in oyo state in the future.Iy just a big book where you fill your biodata.Job list and Step 3 print out are the required doc.
and that is it, goodluck..
note : there are other little little registration i didnt mention, y'all will figure that out.. Goodluck..

And which group can a CS join?

their r lot of groups and they are not course based/specific. A computer scientist could join the OBS(orientation broadcasting service) and a business admin graduate could join the red cross group.

yea, u have to go with ur flash, container, plate or whatever. You can buy at the mammy market. Kitchen doesn't provide utensils for u,just food.
