ty bello is aight, got me that greenland thing, Asha smacks it, love the voice |
javalove:Javalove as an "educate" person, the way you reply to a counter arguement is pretty representative of your knowledge. I never said Mode is rubbish. I feel his game. I just prefer Sauce. You need to understand that Rap is not just about lyrics. Its about your emotions as well son. Its about your character. 9ice has character, D'Banj has character, they present that character in their music. Now you sitting there and yarning "thought process, and eucation" is just air. Pure air, no density, nothing intelligent to wet me with. Read my post again, I did admit Mode had that whole thought process but no swagger to it. Even Talib Kweli and Mos Def admitted that rapping conscious does not mean you deprive the listeners of your flair and character cuz you loose them. So while you sit straight and thank the Lord for the depressing sense that Mode makes, I shall be thanking the Lord while listening to "I can't feel my face" and then play "Loke" by D'Banj. Mayb after that i'll drop "Ruggedy Baba feat 9ice" to jam too. You know why they all have character. Peace Mr Educated Javalove. By the way what are your credentials, please let us know Mr Smart Nigerian who racks up credentials and does not know what to do with it. What is it, A PhD, an MBA, a Masters, what is it that makes you Dawkins and Einstein combined. i really would like to know. |
Lady Saw has only been around for about erm lets see more than 10 years. She is raw like that anyway lol |
I am a music collector and this guy literally has what I have and more if not. Amazing. He also does the might favour of posting them up for download. I would suggest you dedicate a weekend to gong thru this site to get what you want. http://combandrazor..com/ enjoy and please show your gratitude to the guy by leaving him comments. He is simply good. peace |
tRoOE:i like your list but i woul swap D Boy for A Millie and I would add Outstanding to the list (his flows are venomous on that song). " I am hip hop, I ain't dead im alive"- take that Nas *smacks Nas's kufi off his head like Jim Jones said he would lol* for saying hip hop is dead Your peeps, their heads are very very correct. Receipt is just way too tight. I dey sing the chorus no be small lol |
To the people wih open minds, check out Sauce Kid's flow in this lil video. Plus check out his funny dance steps towards the end lol. http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/sauce-kid-is-coming-reading-may-30thwot.html |
Look I heard this Modenine, he is good no doubties. After all the noise made about him, I expected him to have the swag to him. But naaa nathin. Saucekibaba has the swag I can relate to you feel. Sauce is definitely repping and appealing to more people. He does not try to be New York New York, which is one thing I felt from Mode. Someone please tell Mode, New York rappers ain't ruling the rap game now. We all saw what happned last year with every single new York rapper screaming, "we bringing New York back, we bringing New York back", puhlease, nothing materialised from the bitchassness. Please, lets give Sauce props. He has stage persona, he has presence and definitely going bout his game right judgin from the pics. If you have a bitchassness reply to this comment, I might not answer you cuz I be fine boy and nothings wrong with me. Something wrong with you?? maybe you can't feel your face lol Oh to my Londoners, Saucekid in Reading 30th of May, confirmed. No be beanz talk. bitter Sweet concert is going to be fire. Oh im too excited right now |
HEy fellow Nairalanders (i love that name lol) Check out this new song by Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park called we made it. Click here to listen and download. Feel free to give your 2 kobos on the song. |
nothing short of silly and incoherrent. Waste of precious sight on the post. |
Do not pay for Nollywood. It is a bump thing. You are better off with *thunder* Moviestar, sorry had to do that cuz thats how the advertisie it lol. Still moving on. Moviestar is 333 on Sky (sorry to the virgin people don' know what channel branson gave y'al). |
Hey fellow nairalanders, Download the whole album of the Jay Z and Fela mash up here http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/american-gangster-fela-mick-love.html Pretty cool, some of the song son the album are literally better than those on the original album. Nigerian music rules!!! Ooh some feedback would also be appreciated on the site as well. Thanks |
Gloriuous Crap. (time of your life that you cannot get back) I believe Yoruba movies are actually better and I feel its down to the comfort they have with acting in their own language. The attempts at making English based Nigerian movies (which I believe this thread is most probably referring to) are sooo sooo bad and poor. First, these actors seem to spout the lines off in English in the most ridiculous way, this in itsself just get you laughing right from the the first. There is nothing more ridiculus like when the prodigal American son returns (oh the american costume horror!), or when the uncle returns from America. It is not by force to act in English. Yoruba films excellent (although scary), i'd rather just read the subtitles. Bollywood did not become number 2 by speaking English. All the Bollywood movies we used to watch in Nigeria when we were kids were all in their respective languages be it hindu or punjabi and they had subtitles which never deviated from how interesting the movie is. This includes french fils as well. Next on the line is the foreground music. Oh is it supposed to be background, i believe so but nooooo it is foreground and the actors' dialogues becomes background. So youhave to increase your tv to the loudest. in doing this you run the risk of the badly themed music playing all the time for the next 2 hours and in part 2. I am really sorry i know you said one word, but there is no one word that can adequately capture the appallingness of Nigerian movies, no one world. *shakes head* |
this is dry like dandruff, its soo far fetched, first it was durella now olu maintain. Don't believe you, you need more people or post a link or something. |
Download Naeto C - E Mara Mma feat Saro Wiwa Dare Art Alade - Carry Dey Go feat. Naeto C And 2FAce http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/thank-god-its-friaudio-delightday.html |
hey dude above, you got a link of where Wil-I-Am is bigging up Mode9. I must admit when I first heard him, I was a bit confouded as to whether he was American or Nigerian. Was really imperessed. Haven't heard much stuff from him. anyone got links to get me some more mode9. |
Anybody got a video of Spidaja (thats a good one Scopium lol) lol it would a nice watch lol |
Scopium:, co-sign that its kinda embarassing when I whip out a whole nigerian album in front of my friends and its in paper. I know its cheap and all but come on. Worst episode was when I lost my Lagbaja album and it was right in the middle of my Management text book. Thanks a lot Porter!!! I digress New is all the yankee and jand folks are bringing back their flavour and "reppin". Anyone noticed the influx from Ikechukwu, Naeto C, Banky W, Sauce Kid etc. pretty cool |
Yah I agree everyone is good, but like the saying goes, all the fingers are not equal. I stand by it: Faze is better (i was not sure why he felt the neeed for psykolomental what the hell, if R kelly can have gold braids then Faze can d Psykolomental lol) but I digress, Faze is definitely better. Listen to his first and second album and then listen to 2face's. boths good but Faze's definitely has that musical quality that music enthusiasts seek. i was once jamming to faze's "Faze Alone" album in my car, and my buddy was like who is this new cat?, na bruv, not new its Faze from Plant boys, na soooooooooooo. he was really impressed. I still bump my 2face as well though. |
Sauce Kid Rugged Man whoever used to do the rap when Remedies were a force to be reckoned with I have heard one Mode9 track, he sounds like he knows what e is doing. Anyone got more I can listen to I like the AshThomas dude (KEX, Tafero and Sage are animals with lyrics) |
I prefer Sauce Kid baba to Terry The Rapman. Being listening to Tery's album and I just was not sure, ![]() Sauce kid is good |
hi sorry who is Bolaji broke. do u have any material by him Thanks in advance |
Hey tosinadeda, sorry if it seems like im jacking your forum post, just wanted to add to the Banky W jams you put up here. BTW, the Sauce Ki with Banky W is mad hot, I reckon better than Riz's flex Sauce Kid Listen to Banky W - Capable (ID Cabasa remix) here http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/banky-w-capable-id-cabasa-remix-and.html ID Cabasa is just ill man |
Download "Be a nigger too" here - http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/nas-be-nigger.html Controversial but I am not really bothered. I am thinking wait to listen the whole album and see if he addresses the issue completely on the album. |
Honestly, I reckon Asha would probably achieve that feat or Suny ade, I know I know, but a lot of Europeans and Americans love them somy Sunny. Its petty cool. I reckon out the two anyway. In terms of our current stock of musicians a la 2face, faze p square, i reckon D'Banj due to his showmanship and flare really. He balances it all out and you can see him picking them up already as per MTV this MTV that. Who knows eh? By the way, walked into Starbucks this morning and voila, who is this on the stereo system, it is Asa - Jailer lol |
ooh wot channel. Pls tell me its ait. |
Right!!! goodluck with your life changing skills of being able to differentiate between copy and pasting and inserting a quote. i heard its made people money. Wait you look like a really slow person, the above is called sarcasm |
Wow you must be really stupid. I just clicked the link again and wow the download link for psykolometal is still there. I mean honestly, you must be really stupid. Another darn stupid country person of mine. Really "help make naira land better". Please click the link again and scroll down, it is there, faze psykolomental. You soooo stupid. You talking about manners and shit. It obviously shows you have no inkling on how to use the internet. Learn one word from Readers' Digest and band it around. Like I said you need slapping. I am guessing whoever owns the site uses sendspace to host stuff cuz when i downloaded from it, it was sendspace it took me too. Problem with sendspace is it shows adverts sometimes which is probably what happened to you cuz it happened to me when i tried to downoad and I just refreshed the page. So really u see, i am not a spammer you fucking fool by the way I clicked the same link i posted in the forum and it worked. If you cannot afford a proper computer then dont take it out on me. Argh u irritate me seriously just to think you are sat there feeling really smart when you just a bumbling fool |
No please what is spamming. I posted a reply which is of relevance to the topic. So I would like you to define spamming. I cannot even believe I am replying to your stupid answer. Who the Bleep are you to tell me I am spamming when I posted a perfectly legit reply to the topic. You are a fucking fool. Seriously argh people like you must get slapped on a daily basis, seriously. I suggest you finish your cheap ass IT class under the bridge and get your definitions right. |
Right another stupid rumour. Shitty shitty film. I did not even know tem mad melons boys were used in the music, props for that. 2face hype wow, please please, i do not believe that crap. 2face is good but 5mills yeah pleaseeeee o the person who wanted to lamblast someone for copying and pasting a long ass paragraph and thought it wise to copy and paste the entire thing again and then abuse the prior person for doing it, *sighs* YOU PLAIN STUPID, no excuses like you are obasanjo calibre stupid |
Naija music no doubt rocks. We are still improving but that would take a while considering the fact tat I almost got lynched for saying P Square r not as good as some of the naija artists. Apparently they started a movement according to some people but I digress you see. Anyway, I remember sending in a message to MTV sometime ago about the South Africa and Nigeria mess up. I might have to send it again and probably keep sending it till i flood their boxes. it is a piss take. To the person who wrote better than UK musicians, wow, I understand we Nigerians don't take to grime and some other type music but why soo blunt. I cannot be asked to even defend this as I would assume you made a typo. Amy winehous, Miss Bailey, Remi Nicole, THE STREETS, Skepta ad JME (who are nigerian brothers by the way but most of our people do not support them cuz they do grime , seriiously Boy BETTER KNOW!!!!) lol, gush Naija music rocks but we need to open ours small BUT I STAND THAT WE ARE BETTER THAN SOUTH AFRICA IN ALL FORM, yes i said it. I like that Ladysmith Black Mumba group or whatever they are called South Africa gets props for that |
Download Psykolomental and Obodo here http://www.worldfamousnaijablog.com/2008/04/it-was-my-birthday-and-this-happened.html Listen to more Nigerian music on the side player |
, I want the wedding day, that everyone are talking about
