rudedough: STFU dude! You're one cheap a$$ murderf$#ker trying to feel important. What's with the arrogant comments on the 1st page? Is that how you treat people who try to help you?LOl dude relax my friend. If am a nobody, then what does that make you? I am simply just asking for advice not looking for a fight ok. |
speedyboi: But really, isn't it obvious that this guy needs no advice? He was only hoping people would troupe in and be bashing the country. Well you got what you wanted. Enjoy LOl |
rudedough: I actually answered your questions before i read the comments therein. You've been very arrogant to people who tried to assist you with their opinion. Why are you angry my friend? Have i insulted you in anyway? Why must you behave like a Makoko Asewo? I did not insult you so please dont insult me. cheers. |
naijasofamerica: Please, people should stop replying him. I think he's probably tired of staying in Nigeria & instead of saying so, he brought about the notion that he is in the USA & wants to return. Who knows, he probably is in mushin, lagos or somewhere lost in the north. How do you know where I live? what if i told you i live in Makoko? |
Zakkyoz: Having gone through the first page, i discovered the OP is frivolous. You claimed to have known much about Nigeria, then why bothering us?. I advise you settle in yaba left when you come back to 9ja cos you certainly need the services of trained psychiatrists.I already bought real estate in yaba right but thanks for the advice. |
Dis poster is crazy...pls stop advsiong him...better confess that they are deporting u or interpol is looking for u....
Are you a residence of Yaba left? just curious my friend. |
enigmang:Thats not the best way to increase web traffic. Although I dont believe she is doing it to increase her traffic. But more importantly, Seun does not need to do advertisement to increase Nairaland's traffic. Nairaland has gotten to the point that if 10,000 people deactivate their account today, the gap will be filled in very little time. Asking Seun to dash out money is a little selfish if you ask me. The man has a business to run. |
Linda.Ikeja can give out all the money she wants because she practically has not overhead. Her site is hosted by google. which means she does not have to pay for hosting, maintenance, and domain name. Moreover, she does not have to hire a team of web developers to upgrade her site. Seun has overheads: employees, server maintenance, 99.9 percent up time, and many other things. A good business man would not just dash out money anyhow. If seun decides to give 10 people money today 100 people will be upset that he didnt choose them. |
illitrate: Incase you are back and need a house, we have a nice one at yaba left.I am right handed so I actually prefer the houses at Yaba right but thanks for the offer my friend. |
adino: @OpI should remain a salesman in MacDonald? I didnt even know that MacDonald had salesman. Where is your misguided anger coming from? I just asked simple questions. |
made001: The only advice I can give U is; if U r passionate about relocating, think about being an employer of labour rather than Job hunting.I like your response. |
Mr. Man, just pack well over there. We don't even need you and your bad mouth in Naija
I actually pack very well thank you. But am a little perplexed by your comment though. How did you come to the conclusion that i have a bad mouth? |
taharqa: OLODO. What is 'nominal GDP' and what is 'real GDP'? Wetin be d difference??... Sm people for NL sha!!But if you dont have anything intelligent to say you can at least avoid looking stupiid my friend. Why must you behave like a $2 Asewo? Why the insult? cheers |
desgiezd: Serious signs of the dreaded end time is here and the world seems in love with it. Right now, it appears it is only some African countries that care even as the world is fast drifting away.World is drifting away from what? |
ROSSIKE: ^^I'd say it's both. $20 a day works out at about 100,000 naira a month.Ill agree that 20 dollars a day could be consider a lower middle class in Africa. But range they gave was 2-20 what about the people making 2 dollars are they middle class? Also the problem you have here is that any bank can also come along and claim that 8-40 is middle classin Africa. The fundamental question must first be answered: what is the standard for middle class in Africa. Each individual bank cannot just make their own claim |
^^^ Yes I agree with you. 2-20 dollars a day has more purchasing power in Africa than in the U.S. But the question here is: is 2-20 dollars a day really the middle class in Africa? Or are people in Africa simply just doing better than they were? |
This article or interview is superbly misleading. It claims that Africa has the worlds fastest growing middle class but it's definition of middle class is this, "The bank’s definition of middle class in Africa is people who spend the equivalent of USD 2 to USD 20 a day." How in the world is spending 2-20 dollars a day middle class? There is a world standard for middle class, no banks can jut make up it's own standard for middle class ok. All Africa Development Bank did was lower the standard for middle class my friend. Of course Africa's middle class is growing, however, 2-20 dollars a day is not the accepted world standard fro middle class. Their claim would never stand up to an economic review. cheers. |
AjaraEwuro: If you know anything about Nigeria, you wont come to NairaLand asking those dumb questions and making dumb insinuatations that holds no water.Well since you are making a claim you should back it up my friend. Maybe we should compare my knowledge about Nigeria to your knowledge? But am assuming you are just one of those people that likes to talk a lot with very little substance. "One of those people who like operate with open mouth and a closed brain" Do not embarrass yourself and take the challenge my friend. |
musty001: pls,hw do i get 2 germany?Which state and city do you live? |
myOGAonTOP: with all due respect, you know NOTHING about Nigeria.I know plenty about Nigeria my friend. |
iterator25: you're uninformed.. and I don't think you're NigerianAm uninformed? well if you have better information let me see it. Because according to the website businessinsider.com, Nigeria is not even top 21 of the world's fastest growing economy. Ghana is #16 with an 8.16 GDP growth per year and China is #9 with a 8.33 GDP growth per year. I have lived in Ghana so I understand why they rank this high. This claim that Nigeria is the world's fastest growing economy with a 7.4 GDP per year is totally false. Nigeria's true yearly GDP growth is probably in the range of 3.2 to 4.0 at best. Premature celebration is not wise fellas. you dont think I am a Nigerian? I am more Nigerian than you my friend. cheers |
AjaraEwuro: Using questions to answer questions, you are a true Nigerian. Answer the questions, so I can be in a better perspective to advice. If you dont have advice to give then relax my friend. but we both can agree that there are very little opportunities in Nigeria. |
AjaraEwuro: Ask those who move back daily and they will tell you to zip it. Ask me and I will tell you to zip itYou said a lot my friend but you did not offer a single advice. are Nigerians really moving back to Nigeria daily? and what do they do after moving back to Nigeria? do they become politicians? |
AjaraEwuro: you dont have any data on which you based your assumptions or opinions, yet you open your mouth wide to criticize those who are doing their job. If the IMF has said the other way round, you will jump to high heavens praising them for a job well done, nonsense.Do yo have the link to the IMF article? |
myOGAonTOP: WRONG: People like me are making it big time here. Its all about God and your survival strategy. There's is so much money in the land.Well I dont disagree with you that there is a of money in Nigeria. But it seems like true opportunity to make a decent living is only available to the upper one percent of Nigeria's society. or am I wrong? You have the rich and the poor, and a very tiny middle class population. This its self is not a problem, the real problem is the lack of upward mobility for the poor class. One can make it in Nigeria, but his or her chances are slim to none. I dont think i have told any lies in this statement. |
Mamacita007: abeg shift. you claim that you wanna relocate to naija but you're here saying that life is too precious to be spent there as if you dont u have family in naija living wellNo I wont shift. I actually like where am sitting thank you. |
ogakpatakpata: .do you need travel directions? |
infonubia: Well, the list wasn't put together by Nigerians. Also, the data was provided by the IMF. Numbers don't lieif the list was put together by the IMF then why is infonubia.com posted as the information source? If you want to prove me wrong please provide the link to the original IMF article, journal, essay or whatever it was published in. But I doubt that you will find it. Nigeria is a very inefficient and sluggish economy, more then 50% of economic activities that goes on in the country are not recorded. link please. cheers |
You people are funny. Nigeria's economy is no where near the fastest. In fact, the argument can be made that Nigeria's economy is one of the most inefficient and sluggish economy in the world. Well, actually, maybe Nigeria might be somewhere near the top if we are speaking of nominal GDP. However, nominal GDP is almost totally useless because it does not positively affect the lives of the average citizens. But as far as real GDP? NO WAY my friend!! China's real GDP is growing much much faster than Nigeria's. This is the reason why we are seeing positive changes in China: updated infrastructure, growing middle class, increase in home purchase, etc... you people need to stop wetting yourselves over false information, Nigeria still has a very long way to go. cheers. |
myOGAonTOP: Before you come back FINALLY, i will advise you to take a month off and enter into the country. Keep a low profile and make your own deductions and conclusions. Moving back is such an important lifetime decision that MUST NOT be made based on hearsay. Come See for yourself . Thanks.yes you are right...life is just too precious to be spent in Nigeria. |
