After the Operation Python Dance in the south east of Nigeria, led to a clash between the Nigerian military and IPOB members, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group disappeared. . This was made known by the director, defence information, Major General John Enenche at a press briefing with journalists on Friday, September 29. Enenche also informed journalists present at the briefing that Kanu was not in military custody and so they couldn’t be held accountable for him. However, popular blogger, Kemi Olunloyo has reported that Nnamdi Kanu was on exile in an undisclosed country. . Below is a post she madeon Facebook:"A highly credible source told me that political activist and separatist #NnamdiKanu has reportedly left #Nigeria and is in a "safe haven" in a nearby #African country. He is carrying both a Nigerian and British passports." Her claim is yet to be comfirmed. Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor has stated that sureties of the IPOB leader should not entertain any fear over the disappearance of his client. . . We received this Mail from an Angry YBNL Fan to Davolee. Disclaimer:-“Opinions expressed here are solely that of the Writer and do not express the views or opinions of Naijaloaded.” Read below (Unedited):- YBNL Newly signed RapperDavoleeis not making any tangible improvement on his career at all. He should try as much as possible to improve. Recall that On November 12, 2016Olamideannounced via his Instagram & Twitter accounts the signing of new Dope Rapper Know asDavolee. Olamide has been known to favor a two-year contract with his sign-ons in the belief that it is enough period for them to stand on their ‘two feet.’ Though, I don’t know Davolee signing limit but I am very sure he was also signed to YBNL For just two years contract. If the contract expires, chances are it won’t be renewed. That is YBNL and Olamide’s policy. Same thing happened when Lil Kesh & Adekunle Gold, they both moved on. According toAdekule Goldwhile confirming his exit from YBNL ,he said:- “My contract has expired and that’s it. In YBNL, you don’t renew contract. Olamide signed us for two years, so that by yourself, you can hustle and make things happen. I don’t have my record label now, so I’m on my own for now. I don’t know about record label and I don’t have the vision to have one now“. The rightful thoughts of Olamide from time is that his prayer stands firm on all his label artistes that after two years, all artistes he signed will not consider signing into another record label but rather they should be able to stand on their own and try and help other people. Before Lil Kesh left YBNL, he was reportedly financially buoyant enough to fund his projects and music videos. Not just that, he has already become famous to market whatever art work he presents. Lil kesh was signed to YBNL around may 2014 but in just few months after the signing, Lil kesh broke out with massive hits of his singleShoki. Now, lets calculate the already exceeded volume of capacity byDAVOLEEin his two years contract in YBNL. Starting from November 12, 2016 when Olamide officially announced his signing worldwidely till date September 30, 2017, just few weeks to total Davolee’s contract 1 year old. Yet, he is still struggling to be known. Uptil now nobody knows Davolee, only those on social media can tell who Davolee is and not everybody can. I have gone very far to ask who is Davolee both on streets and social media. But only few could say he is YBNL signee. While the rest says ‘we don’t know him’. Despite that he was featured on Olamide’sPepper Dem Ganghe is still not yet known worldwide. I am not condemning him but what I am trying to say is that, please brother Davolee your time is running up. You have just one year and six weeks to make your name ring serious bell in the head of Nigerians else you might go back to hawk pure water on the streets of Mushin, Lagos the street where Olamide picked you up. No street hit, No gist and no beef. I bet you without these above mentioned, people will hardly know you. If you don’t make a name for your self now, I am afraid by the time you might have exceeded your contract with YBNL, your own ends there. Please try to light your fire now that you have the matches and fuel right in your hand. I am your No. 1 fan known by name “Mr Rational Laughter“. Please find my letter very helpful * I wrote this letter because I wish you success in all your endeavors. However I believe very strongly that your latest single “ CIROCING” is going to take you places. I am still praying for you on that Thanks Davolee, Can’t wait to see you flying high! . . Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose, has said the imminent defeat of President Muhammadu Buhari in a free and fair election in 2019 is the major reason the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government is harassing and intimidating his aides and associates. He also said the blunt truth he told Nigerians during his declaration of interest that Buhari and the APC had nothing good to offer Nigeria had pierced the conscience of APC leaders and given them wounded heart. He, however, said he won’t be intimidated into abandoning a divine project of rescuing the country from maladministration. Fayose, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, on Friday, said notwithstanding needless harassment, whoever thought he could stop a moving train with bare hands would have himself to blame in the end. The governor described the arrest of two officials of the state by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as the height of impunity, as a competent court of jurisdiction had ordered against such action. The governor said the action of the EFCC was in flagrant disobedience to the orders of Justice Taiwo. O. Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti in the case of the Attorney General of Ekiti State versus EFCC, IGP and 16 others granted on November 7, 2016. The order reads in part: “an order of interim injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd defendants (which is the EFCC and the Inspector General of Police, their agents, privies or any other investigative agencies, howsoever described) from arresting, detaining or investigating any person or persons, whether past or present officials in the Ekiti State Government, without any report of indictment from the Ekiti State House of Assembly pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice filed in this suit”. While contending that the order of the court had not been vacated or appealed by the agency, the governor added that the agency’s action showed desperation and political partisanship, as it had earlier petitioned against Justice Taiwo asking that the case be transferred to Akure, Ondo State. “The new judge declined jurisdiction because he held that the EFCC’s case lacked merit and the case file was returned to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, who is yet to assign the case. “The latest action by the EFCC is therefore premeditated, malicious, politically motivated, contemptuous and unconstitutional in all ramifications. It is another clear and undisguised evidence of gangsterism by an agency that derives its power from the constitution but uses it for political vendetta against the opposition. “While we call on all men and women of conscience to call the EFCC and whoever is goading them along perilous path to order, we must warn that no harm must come the way of the illegally detained Ekiti State Government officials, who have health issues which they will be hampered to manage effectively in EFCC’s crushing detention environment. “Not obeying court orders is not the hallmark of democracy, but a virtue of anti-democratic agents. Colonel Dasuki Sambo, former National Security Adviser is still being held despite numerous court orders to the contrary. Ibrahim el-Zakyzaky has been locked up unduly for months, this is not the democracy we fought to enthrone in Nigeria,” he said. The governor stressed that it was not a coincidence that those officials were arrested while he was declaring his intention to contest the presidential election, but noted that such gimmicks would not deter him from pursuing his ambition. “My ambition to contest the presidential election in 2019 is God’s project and no human effort can thwart it. Democracy allows for people to aspire to occupy public offices and I have not breached any law doing that. Those who think they can get to me by harassing my aides and supporters would soon hit a dead end,” he noted. . . More than 22, 000 cases, including motions, civil and criminal cases are currently pending in various courts in Cross River state. Disclosing this in Calabar, the Acting Chief Judge, Justice Michael Edem said that the cases comprised 11,526 civil cases, 8,027 criminal cases and 3,457 motions. Justice Edem, who said this at the thanksgiving service held in Calabar, the state capital to mark the beginning of the 2017/2018 legal year, noted that this was due to the fact that since the expiration of the tenures of President and members of customary courts in 2015, none has sat for hearing. Absence of the Judicial Service Commission meant the courts will not be constituted but, with the recent constitution of the commission, Justice Edem expressed hope that the courts will resume hearing of cases soon and warned against corrupt practices. “The prying eyes of the public are on us all because if one finger of any hand of the judiciary is soiled by oil, the oil shall spread and pollute the entire body. “The judiciary would not be a collective victim of an individual malfeasance and I will let go the axe ruthlessly on anyone who does that; to this end, I have set up a secret monitoring agency to spy and report to me all acts of corruption no matter how slight,” he said. He cautioned Judges and Magistrates against laziness and urged them to ensure speedy dispensation of justice. “If for any reason a judge or a Magistrate would not sit for two days, he must seek and have my leave. “Beyond that, the cogent cause would become a deliberate cause which cannot be tolerated,” Justice Edem said. He called on the judiciary staff to respect lawyers but warned against any handshake that goes beyond the elbow. He advised court clerks to ensure courts sit on time and every day. . The Igbo community in Adamawa State on Thursday dismissed the agitation for Biafra. Leader of the community, Godwin Onemaka while addressing journalists in Yola, described the struggle for Biafra as unnecessary. Onemaka urged the agitators to consider the consequences of plunging Nigerian into chaos by divisive activities. Citing the effect of another Civil war, Onemaka maintained that Biafra agitation had failed and there was no need to restart it again. According to Onemaka, agitators should have a rethink because people of the South East extraction are looking for ways to develop there selves. Onemaka said, “Biafra agitation has failed and there is no need to restart it; the agitators should consider the interests of the Igbo in other parts of the country. “We, the Igbo in Adamawa, kick against the agitations for Biafra and we view it as an unnecessary capable of plunging the nation into crisis. “We advise the agitators to stop, so that Nigeria will remain united and they should remember that since the agitation had failed in the past, revisiting it is unnecessary. “We are looking for a way of developing ourselves and the country while most of us have invested much outside south eastern part of the country. “So, we want to distance ourselves from the agitation, we have lived in the northern part of the country for years and our children have studied there most of whom are graduates now.’’ Source: http://RationalTV..in/2017/09/rationaltv-biafra-is-failed-project-we.html

The Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt on Wednesday paraded a lawyer, Elizabeth Agboje, who allegedly tortured her adopted daughter for over seven years. The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the ban of the ThisDay and Vanguard correspondents from covering the Imo State Government House activities as undemocratic and excessively harsh. The state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, had reportedly on Saturday during an interactive session with reporters announced the ban of Amby Uneze of ThisDay newspaper and Chidi Nkwopara of Vanguard newspaper on the allegation that the journalists did not like him. The PDP Publicity Secretary in Imo State, Damian Opara, in a statement issued on Wednesday, described the governor’s action as stifling press freedom in the state. The statement read, “The Peoples Democratic Party, Imo State Executive Council after a very careful and painstaking review of the purported ban in an emergency meeting, views the ban as a breach of the constitutional rights of the journalists and hereby condemn the action of Governor Rochas Okorocha in its totality. “One of the tenets of any democracy is the freedom of information and this must be respected by all segments of the government in Imo State. The purported ban of the two journalists from carrying out their legitimate duties is to show the whole world how the governor is becoming increasingly intolerant of opposing views to his draconian style of governance.” The party alleged that the governor was becoming “increasingly intolerant of truth and opposing views,” adding that the governor’s action could only be welcomed in a military regime. “The APC government of Imo State under Governor Rochas Okorocha has done so much harm to the people of Imo State and has completely lost popularity and sympathy of the people, through his maladministration should not transfer his aggressions to innocent journalists who are carrying out their constitutional duties in Imo State,” it said. According to the statement, The ThisDay and Vanguard correspondents were not responsible for the dwindling image of Governor Okorocha, which is self-inflicted due to the many failed promises he made to the Imo people. “The PDP hereby call on Governor Okorocha to allow these journalists to do their legitimate duties as they are not the Eke-Ukwu Owerri market women and other artisans in Imo State whose livelihood have been destroyed by his questionable urban renewal policy,” the party said. . The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Governor Nyesom Wike to publicly apologise to the people of the state and his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, over the ceding of Soku Oil Wells belonging to Rivers to neighbouring Bayelsa State. The oil wells in Kalabari axis of Rivers were allegedly ceded to Bayelsa during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan to punish the then governor (Amaechi), the Director-General of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation over his refusal to support the re-election of his Niger Delta kinsman (Jonathan). Rivers APC, through its Chairman, Chief Davies Ikanya, yesterday in Port Harcourt, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Public Affairs, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, described as shocking, Wike’s acceptance that the disputed Soku oil wells, which it insisted he (Rivers governor) and Jonathan connived to cede to Bayelsa, belonged to Rivers. Rivers APC said: “September 19, 2017 will ever remain memorable in the politics of Rivers State. This was the day that one of the hidden truths was brought to the open. By his confession, Wike has vindicated our position that he collaborated with the then President Jonathan to fight Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to a standstill and to dislodge APC that clearly won the 2015 general elections, from the Brick House, Port Harcourt. “One of the ways in which they achieved the infamous feats was to cede Rivers State oil wells to Jonathan’s Bayelsa State, in a bid to economically emasculate Rivers State and starve Amaechi’s government of funds. “It is on record that Wike used the oil well issue about three years ago to dehumanise and abuse his benefactor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and called him many uncouth names, for pleading and stating that it was wicked of Dr. Jonathan to cede Rivers State’s oil wells to neighbouring Abia and Bayelsa States, just to prove his hatred for the people of Rivers State, after giving him one of their daughters (Dame Patience Jonathan) for a wife and ensured that he was properly educated at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT). “In view of Amaechi’s stand, Wike, as the then Supervising Minister of Education, threatened the then Rivers governor (Amaechi) with everything within him, including brimstone and arrest immediately after Dr. Jonathan would be declared as president for a second term in 2015, but God proved him wrong. “Wike, while exhibiting poor understanding of the plight of Rivers people, appreciated Dr. Jonathan for the heinous and evil act by giving him an award during the recent celebration of 50th anniversary of the creation of Rivers State. “If Wike is serious about demanding the receding of the oil wells to Rivers State, let him start by withdrawing the unmerited award given to Dr. Jonathan, after which he should formally apologise to God, Amaechi and the people of Rivers State for criminally emasculating them economically by the evil act against Rivers State and humanity, for us to take him seriously.” . Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer representing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that his client was abducted by military operatives on September 14 and probably killed. Ejiofor made the allegation in a statement on Tuesday issued in reaction to insinuations that Kanu has gone into hiding. The statement reads in part: “I have no doubt whatsoever that stories making round that my Client has fled outside Nigeria, were planted to divert attention from their murderous raid on my client’s house. “I made last contact with my client few minutes into the bloody onslaught in his home on the 14th day of September 2017. Till date, I have not established further communication with him. “The soldiers must have made possible contact with him on this 14th day of September 2017, when they invaded his house on a bloody raid, and by virtue of which position, they should tell the world if he was caught by fire of bullets in the hit of the bloody onslaught or he was arrested alive. “In all probability, my client may have been killed by the invading soldiers who are now seeking ways to fool the world into believing that he has left the country. My request is that the military should produce my client wherever they kept him and stop diverting attention of the public,” Ejiofor said. . The BIAFRAN WAR STORIES my parents told me. My father told me that the war proper broke up in 1967. Please I want us to take note of the word " PROPER " this word proper here to me means there was something on ground before the final outburst of the war in the year 1967 exactly 50 years now. There was agitations, protests, a cry of marginalisation, a national compulsory retirement of top Igbo men in the key positions in the military and government, a look alike of OPERATION PYTHON DANCE II armed Nigerian army deployed to watch and maintain order in the Eastern region. So all these and many more was what they saw before the war proper. CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU was the then NNAMDI KANU. My father said he was a diehard follower of OJUKWU, OJUKWU was his lord, he doesn't like reading any newspaper that OJUKWU was not captioned in. My father was then in his mid 20s anyway, and had an Elementry Certificate hence he was able to read and write then. He said it was first of all a state of emergency in all the Eastern regions but things tensed up more n more and war broke up and all the Eastern region was held captive no one was able to go out or come in into the states, people thought it was a child's play until one week passed, two, three, six, one year up until 3 good years before BIAFRAN soldiers SURRENDERED n seek peace and reconciliation. My father said that within this 3 years that everything human being use for survival was banned from the Eastern region ranging from Nigerian currency, food, meat, clothes, power supply, petrol, toiletries, weapons. In fact, all the routes to the Igbo states was closed down. And our people were left to die in starvation and hunger and that was why Kwashorkor set in that those war bullets did not reach Kwashorkor killed them. He said that Nigerian armies were armed to their tooth with the largest world's supports, that it was only very few countries and charity organisations that supported Biafrans. That many countries that Biafrans "thought" would support them didn't show up when the agitations escalated into war. Biafrans surrendered because of frustration n exhaustation. My father recounted that there blood of young igbo men everywhere like that of abattoir on the streets. All the structures/ investment in the Eastern region was burnt to ashes. Schools, markets, churches, houses were burnt to dust. Nigerian army slaughtered n ate Biafran people like suya. They killed igbo men who were their prime target until men went into extinction. our women were widowed, mothers n young women were raped and taken away as sex slaves in the barracks. Mothers ran without remembering they had suckling children, even those who were passionate enough to carry their babies, elders strangled those babies when they begin to cry dur to the fear that their cries would implicate them from their hiding places. I don't know if we truly understand this trauma? The world estimated that over 2 million igbo people died during the Biafran war but my father would always say each time he hears of this figure "O bu tee onye nann nwuru" translation...it's even only one person that died. My father will sit down at a go n count up to 300 men from his kindred (umunna) who followed the war. He has their names, the dates they left without returning back. His immediate younger brother (uncle) Mathias left one morning n never came back, his corpse nobody saw. May his soul rest in peace.all these facts will convince all of us that his estimate is far more than what was recorded. Many communities were totally wiped out with no trace of human being again after the war in Abia, Aba, Anambra, imo, Enugu he said had a small advantage because of its proximity to Kogi state, some of their Kogi neighbours n friends absorbed them into their communities n families. Wives n under aged girl children were given to Nigerian soldiers to appease their anger if they came n no food to give them. Our people lived in the bushes n forests for 3 years, with no clothe on, they ate raw casava like goat, under trees became their palace. All these soldiers we are calling baboons n monkeys did all of these to our parents 50 years ago. 98% of Nigerian soldiers from Eastern region never returned home after the war till today. Brothers and sisters from the East, with this little and undetailed stories my father told me we would be able to convince ourselves the Igbos would have been the most populated humans in this part of the world and that Biafra war did more harm than good to our people. Our men were assassinated with their dreams and aspiration untapped. Now we the remnants of Biafran war are trying to forget the past and move on with the scars n pains the war caused our parent...some persons emerged from the street again to chant war songs, each time I log in on Facebook I see dead bodies, blood, bruised people, my people in Aba, Abia swimming in a dirty floods. I hereby, beg my brothers n sister on the streets of Aba, Abia, Imo, Anambra, Enugu to please leave the the roads, enter into your closets face the wall and cry to chukwu Okike Abiama on whatever marginalisationyou think we are facing, we are all feeling the pains, the world has seen your tears and pains. It's enough! Let God n the blood of those who died in the past fight the remaining battles. It doesn't make sense if tomorrow your dream Biafra comes and you didn't live to see it. Another thing I want to bring to our consciousness is that OJUKWU did not die, he was flown to exile, he died 4 years ago and was given a National burial but 2milllion Igbo men died in the war. So also if war erupts now Nnamdi Kanu will not die he would be flown back to London where he is a citizen, the only place he would be seeing you and I die is on Aljazera or BBC. You n I will have no place to hide, we don even have money to do papers, the Little things we had been able to put back in order after the war would be destroyed again, think about our houses, businesses, certificates, our factories in Aba, our stocks in onitsha main market, all will be burnt to ashes and your sisters, mothers anties n I would be taken into captive for sex. Martin Luther Jr was in his room when he wrote "I have a dream" he had only his pen n paper. And he was able to liberate Black Americans from generational slavery. Let us shun war, seek dialogue, peace and love. Igbos are known to be wise... the firs war didn't favour us and I doubt if this one smelling will if it eventually breaks up. We can't afford to make the same mistakes again. Nigeria Army have all the weapons for war, Biafra don't have. Let's think peace, let's think dialogue, let's think mediation. Biafra can come without war if we so wish. I love all of us and I want us to survive. Joy Chioma Ugwu. . Gospel and Instagram comedian, Ayo Ajewole popularly known as Woli Agba of the Christ Chosen Vessel Dance Drama Ministry and his wife, Olaife, speak with Punch about their marriage. Read excerpts: How did you meet your spouse? Woli Agba: We met at the venue of a church program. My group and I were invited to minister at a church in my wife’s school, Kogi State University. Was it love at first sight? Woli Agba: For me, it was love at first sight. In fact, it was marriage at first sight. On that first day that I set my eyes on her, I told her that she would be my wife. Olaife: For me, it was not love at first sight because I didn’t believe he was serious when he expressed his mind. However, in a very short time, I discovered I had feelings for him hiding somewhere in my heart. What qualities did you see in your spouse that convinced you he/she was the one? Woli Agba: I saw a wife. I saw a perfect partner for me. She sings, speaks good English and she is naturally beautiful even without makeup and these are some of the qualities I look out for in a woman. I know God has a hand in it because I met her after a prayer retreat I had, and I saw a sign when I met her. Olaife: I saw a focused man who made me happy. I laughed uncontrollably the first time we talked. I asked him so many questions and he answered all of them convincingly. How did you propose to her? Woli Agba: Like I said, it was marriage at first sight. I saw her in the midst of a crowd, but I singled her out and told her that she would be my wife. When our relationship clocked one month, I made a proposal to her to commit myself more to her and to make her believe that I was serious. How would you sum your marriage experience so far? Woli Agba: My marital experience has been so sweet. Although, I was initially scared of getting married because of some broken marriages I saw in my neighborhood, coupled with the fact that people told me that women change after they get married. However, our case is different, and I can boldly say that marriage is sweet. Olaife: He has said it all. Marriage is wonderful; it brings peace, and is sweet. How often do you quarrel? Woli Agba: Sincerely, we hardly quarrel; it’s very rare. My wife is my friend and I always enjoy having her around me. We are free with ourselves and we gist about virtually everything; there’s nothing we don’t talk about. I miss her company and delicacies whenever I am not home. She knows what I don’t like and vice versa. She knows when to say sorry. I likewise make her happiness my watchword. We love to be happy. Olaife: The chance of us quarreling is very slim because my husband is reasonably playful. I laugh uncontrollably at home every time as if I’m at a comedy show. He loves making the atmosphere lively. It’s not like we don’t get angry but God has always been helping us that occasionally when we have disagreements, it does not last long before issues are resolved. Who usually apologises first when you have disagreements? Woli Agba: She does actually. Olaife: I do because whenever he is unhappy, the house would be boring. And of course, I am the lady, so even if I am not wrong, I would apologise for peace to reign. How do you cope with your husband’s female admirers? Olaife: During courtship, it was difficult for me but since we got married, I know I’m his wife, so I need not worry. And of course, he helps me by telling me about his admirers. I also pray for him. Why do you think celeb marriages don’t often last? Woli Agba: The only factor that destroys celebrity marriages is pride. If pride can be dealt with, marriages will last. Fame brings pride when care is not taken. The fact that the celeb is the talk of the town may have gone to his or her head and the spouse will likely suffer from it. A female celeb will have bigwigs in the society as fans, and this may make her despise her husband. Same goes for the man, because ladies would always flock around him. Pride would make him feel his wife would be the loser if she leaves him. However, humility will make the man ensure that he praises his wife and adores her when necessary. What pet names do you have for each other? Woli Agba: She calls me honey. Olaife: He calls me my wife, iyawo Ayo (Ayo’s wife) and honey’s wife. What is unique about your marriage? Woli Agba: I don’t think there is anything new again. But all the things that make a good marriage reflect in our home. We are the final audience of ourselves. Anything we have discussed is settled in our minds. We don’t need to talk to any other person after we have discussed. Can you recall the most memorable time of your marriage? Woli Agba: Everyday is memorable for me. But one that stands out was the day I organised a surprise birthday celebration for my wife. I had to hide her family and friends at her workplace unknown to her before she got to the office. Olaife: The most memorable time was my birthday surprise. On that day, I got a call from my boss that I should quickly report to the office; not knowing it was the handwork of my husband. He even dropped me off at the office, not knowing that he had planted my family and friends at one of the offices already decorated to surprise me. Does your husband partake in household chores? Olaife: Though he is usually busy, but he does some chores partially. Does he cook? Woli Agba: Yes, I cook. Olaife: Yes, he can cook water. . Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is being sponsored by certain disgruntled elements to sabotage the Buhari Administration. The Minister disclosed this at a press conference held in Lagos yesterday. He said: “Nigerians must understand that IPOB was not set up to fight for the right of anyone or group, but as a tool to destabilize the nation, divert attention from the efforts of the Buhari Administration and obliterate the laudable achievements of the Government. IPOB is being sponsored by those I will call the Coalition of the Politically Disgruntled and the Treasury Looters. They believe that by sponsoring this group to destabilize the country and trigger chaos, they will realize their ambition of escaping justice and then be free to dip their hands into the nation’s treasury again,” he said. Alhaji Mohammed further added that it would be coincidental if the activities of IPOB heightened with the advent of this Administration, saying: ”If this is coincidental, then that coincidence is uncanny, at the least. Remember that Nnamdi Kanu, who led a protest at the Nigeria House in London against Boko Haram insurgency and in support of Nigeria’s unity, under the Jonathan Administration, has suddenly metamorphosed into an IPOB monster who will rather set the nation ablaze.” Thankfully, IPOB has failed in its evil machinations. The good people of Nigeria have seen beyond those cheap tactics and have avoided being incited against one another. We must remain vigilant and resolute. We must all say no to the incendiary and divisive tendencies of IPOB and its cohorts,” he said. ”But for (the military’s) quick and decisive intervention, IPOB could have set the nation on fire. Thanks to the decisiveness of the military, today the Governors of the states in the South-east have wisely proscribed IPOB,” he said. .
