nduchucks: It is time to mandate all federal agencies to buy Nigerian made vehicles with the exception of armed vehicles needed for security reasons. Stop making noise. First of all, is your personal car an Innoson product? Also, how many state governors in the SE use Innoson vehicles? You can't force others to use a medicine you don't believe in. |

MissTechy: Thank you so much for this free advice. My bad, I actually meant you shouldn't release more than 49% of your shares. this gives you a 51% controlling stake in your business. |

MissTechy: There was an errorr in that article, i am in the process of sending them a press release to dat effect, amw did not acquire misstechy, amw only bought a small stake in misstechy, and i also have the right to take back my stake if the deals re not met Excellent! As a lawyer, I think you were properly advised cos I have seen many startups falling into that acquisition trap. Whatever you do, never release more than 51% of your shares. Thank me later. |

Misstechy, nice write-up.
However, I'll like to ask a question.
"Don't you think the acquisition of Misstechy by AMW would limit your long-term strategic influence over your startup?" |
Politics › Re: Should Igbos Start Selling Their Landed Property In Lagos, Please Check Reasons by MrMcJay(m): 3:51pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
Demburrows: There was this chilling intel report from one intel agency back then in 2013 Green House something or so that blew a sounding whistle before the lagos rainy season floodings. That by 2050 lagos will go extinct hence the continous upsurge of the Atlantic ocean.,,,, since that report tinubu and lagos govt then fought tooth and nail to make sure they take of that report from the surface of the Internet. We both saw the manifestations of that report this year with huge floodings in some largely part of lagos when the rainy season kick started. I pity lagos landed property owners and intending buyers cos the marginal product of lagos factor is gradually slopping down. Even some big companies knows this,, hence they are gradually moving to nearby states/provinces. Nonsensical thrash. What happened to the much-touted Y2K bug? Companies aren't moving out of Lagos, they are only moving manufacturing subsidiaries and factories to places with more land and cheaper labor. Better get proper education. |
Politics › Re: Dasuki Released, Re-arrested Again by MrMcJay(m): 9:32am On Dec 30, 2015 |
Normally, what happens is that an accused person is charged multiple counts in a trial and the result of the trial affects them all. Hence, you hear of Igbinedion charged with 120 counts charge, Bode George with 80 count charge, AlMustapha with 12 count charge, etc.
Now, the new trend in dealing with these guys (Dasuki, Kanu, Akpobolemi, etc) is that they hold them on singular charges. That way, if they escape from charge 1, they can't escape charge 2, and the cycle continues.
Let us wait and see how many judges Dasuki intends to bribe, how many sureties he can raise and how many distractions he intends to cause.
For me, I believe he's still gonna be FG property for a long time. |

OrlandoOwoh: The new senate building in unnecessary since there is an existing one with an extention. CBN should used the money to fund the building of lecture theaters. The management is fond of executing white-elephant projects. At the time that the hostels lacked water, the management decidecd to construct about 6 car parks around the campus with each costing more than 8M NGN each. That was the same year that students didn't have chemicals to carry out experiments. Just a case of misplaced priorities. |

When the man with money meets the man with experience, the man with money gets the experience and the man with experience gets the money.
I don't know your risk appetite, but if I got something like that, I'll seek out and buy buy an old bungalow in Lagos with government title. I'll then use the documents to secure a bank loan. The loan would be used to build a block of 3-bedroom flats. These flats would be sold to prospective clients at a price enough to offset the loan and make almost double the initial investment.
I don't know how much time you have to supervise these, but I'll suggest the following.
1. Lease an open space by the road and use it for a car wash outfit. Within the same space, you can establish a laundry n drycleaning outfit also. This would bring in daily income.
2. Buy tricycles and lease them out on hire purchase with returns to be made weekly. This would guarantee you weekly income.
3. Also, seek out cheap lands WITH GOVERNMENT TITLE and buy in acres and hold it for a while. Prepare a layout of the land as an estate and sell it in plots.
Be very wary of get rich schemes as well as persons seeking you to hand your funds over to them to control on your behalf. |

omeke12: I couldn't vote for Jonathan to continue cos I detested what my country was turning into under his administration so I never voted.. ... anytime I state this fact the first question I get is... "why didn't U vote for APC?" ... I voted for APC in the Lagos Governorship election but didn't in the presidential elections not because I disliked their Ideology or mantra ( I craved for 'change') but because I couldn't convince myself (for d sake of my present and future family) to vote for Buhari because.. .. 1...Buhari was a former President, former minister of petroleum and so many other top offices he held back then and yet he still tags himself as 'poor', borrowing money then to buy nomination forms. I'm not saying he should have embezzled our money but...for God's sake, it takes wisdom, vision and creativity to be a rich and successful man. Buhari couldn't create an empire with the "little" salary he made those days then I strongly don't believe he can change d fortunes of Nigeria. it was shameful during asset declaration when I saw the wealth our VP has amassed for himself and his family, comparing it with that provided by our president who is meant to lead us out of brokeness. .. 2...Buhari has been contesting for presidency since 2003 and all those while as an aspirant, he never influenced katsina, Nigeria or Africa In any positive way, (he has no known charity foundation in his name), the only time one hears of Buhari then is when he makes Violence Inciting comments that leads to loss of lives especially in the north.... .... please fellow Nigerians, don't expect much from our president, he doesn't really have much to offer just pray for God to give him WISDOM and POWER not to lead us astray... ...Remember Nigeria is our country.
