This disaster Minister again? Which kind woman be this for God's sake? Always in the news for the wrong reasons |
No sensible PDP candidate should even bother to buy form. Don't dash Jimi Agbaje and Co your money. They would eat your money clean, you'll lose election on Saturday and Jimi Agbaje would do thanksgiving on Sunday. |
OP, let me help you blow this topic to front page for more diverse opinions. Lalasticlala, kindly move this interesting thread to the front page for more views. |
Go and read up on delayed gratification. Very important and I'm serious about it. I know of someone who owned a brand new 5 series and brand new 3 Series in 2007. As at 2011, he didn't even have a Keke na pepe. Deep down, you know what you want to do, you're just looking for arguments in support. Whatever you decide, you would reap the benefits, not us. I were you, I would invest in my business over a Benz. I can't engage in alcohol business cos of personal reasons, but if you open a bar in a good location with opportunity for car wash with asun, pepper noodles, shawarma, barbecue with chips and peppersoup on the side, the proceeds would buy you more than a Benz. |
Gratitude is the key to greater blessings. Many people remain poor because opportunities have been closed to them due to ingratitude. It is a good thing though. Let doors keep being shut in the faces of ingrate and let grateful people get all the opportunities. |
Shebi it is thank you they didn't say. Your own is even better. Open WhatsApp group and invite Oshiomole to tell you his story. |
egalitarianism:Lol |
egalitarianism:You have no answer to that and no answer to this. You should travel more and read more. |
egalitarianism:Okay. Why were Jews buried in tombs back in the day? Even Jesus was buried in a tomb. Why was that so? |
Olatara:Thanks for the correction. |
Xavfra:Jan 27, 2001. Extremely hot temperatures caused stored bombs to explode at Ikeja Cantonment. The sounds were heard all around Lagos. People at Oke Afa area tried running from one end to the other and because they saw seaweed cover the canal, they didn't know it was deep. Eventually people sank in the mud and close to 2000 died in that canal but they couldn't recover all the bodies. All bodies recovered were buried by the Lagos State Government just beside the canal. If you go there, there is a cenotaph there. |
WakeNbaked:In traditional Yoruba culture, when someone is killed by water(drowns), it is believed that such person is killed by the water spirits and some rites must be performed to appease such spirits. Those rituals are water-based and interment beside the water is part of those rites. This same thing is done in other parts of the world where they have largely aquatic settlements. Most even throw the person in water. |
WakeNbaked:The meaning is what you see on the front page. |
WakeNbaked:Do you know the meaning of this? |
WakeNbaked:Post the lyrics here let me show you something. |
sonofElElyon:Burial is part of culture, Culture is part of religion. Interment is not globally practiced, some use cremation, some bury upside down, some hang from trees, some cover with rocks, some are thrown in the water. I am a Christian but I'm educated enough to let you know that burial is part of culture and culture varies. After all, Jesus Christ wasn't interred in the ground, he was laid in a tomb. Lazarus also was laid in a tomb cos that was their culture. So, the beliefs aren't heathen and the fact that you don't believe in something doesn't mean that you are more intelligent or of better standing than those who do. As to Rule of law, who do you think buried them beside the water? Better go and get more info. |
joyandfaith:Cemetery, where? |
arantess:Travelling is part of education. When you travel and you see the same in other parts of the world, you'll be better enlightened. |
joyandfaith:The migrants who drowned in Italy, where do you think they were buried? |
sonofElElyon:Honour? I laugh. In most cultures it’s widely believed that when someone drowned in a river he/she is “collected “ by the river goddess, so it’s now a property of the goddess, so if you want to take back the person’s corpse from her you have to appease her and seek her permission otherwise she will get angry and kill more members of that family holding her property until the corpse is exhumed and returned back to her. Even Fela who was an atheist sang about it in his song "Water no get enemy". |
seborrhic:Keep blowing grammar. In 2001, Lagos State Government and the FG buried those who drowned in the canal just beside the canal. If you think I'm lying, check Google and you would see pictures. |
kozmokaz:Very true. Do you know that the bodies of more than 1,200 people who drowned in the Oke Afa canal in 2001 were buried just beside the canal? Those arguing, you know more than the Lagos State Government abi? In most cultures it’s widely believed that when someone drowned in a river he/she is “collected “ by the river goddess, so it’s now a property of the goddess, so if you want to take back the person’s corpse from her you have to appease her and seek her permission otherwise she will get angry and kill more members of that family holding her property until the corpse is exhumed and returned back to her. Even Fela sang about it in his song "Water no get enemy". |
Apc would so deal with this Agboola of a fellow, even PDP won't be able to save him cos they don't trust him.

The disaster minister. Always in the news for incompetence, errors and mistakes. She has an MBA and is by age the youngest minister, she's supposed to be the brightest and sharpest but no, incompetence upon incompetence. MBA holder that doesn't know what imprest means. |
GonFreecss1:So sorry to hear of your dad's experience. @ the bolded, to get legit land in Lagos, you need: A realistic budget, Avoid payment by instalments, Physically visit the land, Get a registered Surveyor to pick up the physical coordinates of the land and chart it to be sure it doesn't fall under government acquisition, Get a Property lawyer to undertake verification of the land, Verification is not only at Alausa or of only documents, verify the sellers to be sure they aren't impostors and they have the right to sell, Speak to people living near the land. The information that vulcanizer or fruit seller near the property would give you can save you from losing millions. Ask them. Let your lawyer prepare your documents and at the point of payment, the sellers must sign. No stories. Immediately you pay, start building your fence. If possible, pay like 60% of the cost of the land and once fencing is done, pay up the balance of 40%. Once the transaction is done and you've received your documentation, try to perfect your title at the Lands Registry. |
