Theconglomerate:Check the CofO on the property, what purpose is written on it? Residential or Commercial? |
Those who would ruin Obaseki are his loyalists working secretly with Oshiomole. They are the ones giving him terrible advice that would ruin him and because he lacks wisdom and the spirit of discernment, he is following their wrong counsel. Every King has an Ahitophel. It is wisdom that makes him avoid the counsel of Ahitophels. |
I doubt if anyone would take you seriously on here. What you are demanding for requires industry expertise which can't be gotten for free or mere pittance online. If everyone had the knowledge, everyone would be in it. Anyway, I have been involved in legal and compliance for several fintechs and what I can tell you for free is that there are several ways the loan companies operate. Some operate using a Money Lender's License and some go ahead to purchase MFB Licenses. Money Lender's Licenses can be gotten officially below 100k and unofficially below 250k. They are issued by the Magistrate courts. MFB Licenses would cost you Millions to purchase a weak MFB and then recapitalize and change the board. Approvals come from the CBN. The fintech space is becoming increasingly regulated but it's very very profitable. |
ndcide:Thanks sir. Information is power. |
alezzy13:The one and only, bro. As for my previous post, everything I posted are verifiable facts. WHO said face masks don't stop Coronavirus infections. https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/07/face-masks-cannot-stop-healthy-people-getting-covid-19-says-who WHO refused to declare Coronavirus a pandemic. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2235342-covid-19-why-wont-the-who-officially-declare-a-coronavirus-pandemic/ https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/01/22/who-postpones-decision-declaring-china-coronavirus-a-global-health-emergency.html The WHO messed up big time and it is as a result of failure of leadership. The Head of the WHO isn't even a Doctor. |
The World Health Organisation has become a huge joke. The same WHO who said face masks don't prevent human to human transmission. The same WHO that refused to declare Coronavirus a pandemic. |
This is what happens when your loyalty is to certain interests and not to your country. Pantami thinks he's in Gombe where he can do as he likes. Well, he can actually do as he likes cos the level of indiscipline in this administration is legendary. |
Letsfarms increase of the duration of the investment cycle from 7 months to 9 months was a big mistake on their part. Sell a few today, sell half dozen tomorrow. Is that business? If they try it just 3 times, they would be gasping for breath as they won't get bulk cash to run the farm operations. |
ogbonti:This is exactly what Okorocha and Amosun did that made them politically castrated. Let Obaseki take your advice and join them. At least, he would be a scapegoat to others. |
panpan:Some of her bosses at the bank saw what she posted here and escalated it to management. |
I know someone who lost his plum job in a bank because of what he posted here on Nairaland. If only you guys know how many people have lost their jobs (and some their lives) due to what they posted online, we would be more circumspect about what we post online. The Internet is like fire. It can cook your meals for you to eat and it can also burn and destroy everything you have. |
contumely2:This kind of post is beneath you, you don't need it. Pass your message across without insults just like how he did. Cheers. |
emmanuelewumi:When Fashola was Governor, there was a day he went to commission a project and was accosted by touts that he should dash them money. Fashola required for their tax clearance to show proof they pay tax before he gives them anything. They grumbled and left. Subsequently, Fashola gathered those touts together and established what is called "Waste Police" under Lawma. They were charged with arresting those who dispose waste in indiscriminate places. Anyone who they found refuse in areas under his supervision would be dismissed. Do you know that those touts were staying awake at night preventing people from throwing refuse so as not to be sacked When they asked Fashola about getting motorised street sweepers, he said that it's not just about waste removal but empowering those elderly women. So, there are a lot of political consequences of such a decision as this. Visionscape was brought on board to try something similar but it failed due to a lot of factors with vested interests, politics and political patronage being the most prominent. Politics is no. 1 in Lagos, every other thing follows. Its unfortunate. |
emmanuelewumi:There is something similar to this on the Island. I mean from Obalende to Epe. It is a private company handling commercial transportation on that route and all passenger buses must register. There are no touts at the several bus stops from Obalende up to Ajah. Even at Ajah, the touts there are those from the Oshodi unit loading buses going to Oshodi. The unions control the boys who we see as thugs but the government sees as party stalwarts. I heard of an agbero who a job for a Medical doctor with Lagos state. Transportation in Lagos is more political than economic. That's why Obasanjo came to campaign in Lagos in 2003 but his supporters couldn't get vehicles to attend the rally. Commercial vehicles 'mysteriously' didn't work that day. ![]() |
emmanuelewumi:Lawyers destroyed this arrangement. Several lawsuits were filed that the policy was discriminatory and a breach of fundamental human right to movement. |
emmanuelewumi:Picture 1 Abia state Governor standing in a train abroad. Picture 2 The same Abia state Governor using more than a 12 vehicles to move around.

Look at the kind of news they are bringing to the front page for God's sake! |
chigo4u:MOST Nigerians depend on remittances for survival? Are you speaking from personal experience or you just want to talk? Did you even read the link you posted? Remittances have been steady and rising slowly for over a decade but. They are still a small fraction of FX inflows. Remittances have increased but it's still a small piece of the pie. |
chigo4u:Nothing is happening there? I have some property interests in Idasho Town. That is the community directly opposite Dangote gate. I suggest that you take a trip to that area and see things for yourself. While you are inside your house hiding from Coronavirus, work is currently going on in the refinery and other Dangote projects in that area. |
You are talking about property rentals alone. That is merely a part of real estate and not the whole thing. There are many ways to make serious money from real estate. The most prominent ones are buying land and flipping as well as building houses and selling them for profit. There are those who buy acres in locations where the government wants to build roads and they divide the land into plots and sell. There are those who buy land in areas with good amenities, build duplexes on them and sell for a handsome profit. There are those who provide certain services and get valuable land in return. Real Estate is much more than building houses for rentals. However, I agree with you that anyone with a thriving business doesn't need to dip his hand into his capital and go pour it in building a house for rent. |
