Warripikin08:If you want to catch a monkey, you must do like a monkey. |
somehow:The reasons why they'll never fix electricity problem are multi-faceted. 1. They would have lesser reasons for outright fraud on power projects. This is self-explanatory. 2. The gap between the developed parts of Nigeria and the underdeveloped parts would be further widened. Someone in Abuja is afraid of what Onitsha, Nnewi, Aba, Agbara, Ikeja Industrial Estate or Lagos would look like with constant electricity. 3. Nigerians' spendings on Petroleum products like diesel and gasoline would reduce. This means lesser profits for Oando, Conoil, NNPC Mega Stations, Capital Oil, etc. These guys are some of the largest contributors to elections. |
Very simple solution. 1 Go to Oyingbo market and buy a big bag of unpeeled Egusi. 2 When next they come to your house, put off the TV, say something like 'Mama Chizoba, now that you're here, help me peel small egusi". 3 Use paint rubber and pack a heavy heap of egusi in front of her let her peel. Sit back, relax and see what God will do. |
Is it high frequency transmission or high frequency OF transmission? The power transmission lines are obsolete. Even if we generate above what we're presently generating, the transmission lines would collapse just as it has done. Apart from power generation and distribution, serious work needs to be done on transmission. Some of the transmission facilities we're using are older than a lot of posters here on Nairaland. They've gone way past their shelf life and are due for replacement and upgrades. |
lokobyforch:It's not easy to sell an inferior product. |

This is the kind of self-deception that they used to ruin GEJ. The story of PDP in Lagos is the story of the tower of Babel. They are cursed with confusion, hatred, bitterness and defeat. Every election year, PDP in Lagos usually goes into party primaries divided into various groups. Once the primaries are concluded, they are now divided into 3 parties. The winners, the elders and the disgruntled losers. The losers work against the winners in the general elections and make them lose. The elders pretend to be neutral but sabotage the winners so that they can't usurp their control of the party. The primary winners now end up as state losers and they end up fighting themselves till the next election year where the cycle is repeated again. That is a summary of PDP in Lagos. |
If they like, they should even rewrite the Lord's Prayer and edit the Ten Commandments. If it's not in the Bible, hide your face! |
CplusJason:Beauty fades with time leaving only the true character of a woman. For those marrying beautiful devils, your torture is a few years away. |
ashewoboy:I respect Dbanj cos he kept his marriage a secret. However, Lillian an her ex husband were both in the showbiz industry. It's a bit more difficult for them to keep things under wraps. Also, Lillian's wife is way older than D'banj's wife. What you're seeking is age taking its toll on Lillian. Unfortunately, she's too dumb to realise that and she's still showing her flattened cleavage. |
Betting like every thing is bound to be abused. Some people over indulge in drugs, some food, some sex, some alcohol, and some talk too much. If you can't control yourself, that's your problem. You should have the restraint to permutate play, pause, think, continue, pause, think, quit (in no particular order). For those who turned betting into their source of livelihood, you're the dumbest of all. |
surgical:Your head is correct. PDP is dead in Lagos, his job is to ensure they get a befitting burial. |
tete7000:APC is collapsing in 2019 immediately after the primaries, there's no two ways about it. |
Apart from the dead men appointed, I personally know of an 85-year old man in that list appointed to chair a parastatal by this incompetent government. |
nkemjacob2:All religious structures would become taxable, even shrines. |
Desyner:It's already before the LSHA. This is the first time it's being mentioned in Lagos. The last one was by the FG when they wanted to amend the CAMA to make the income of religious organisations taxable. Don't be in a hurry, LSHA passes bills speedily. Eg LAGESC law and other laws. |
Desyner:Yeah. They would tax them and there's nothing you're going to do about it. |
OBAGADAFFI:Mention them and give specific instances. I'm waiting |
These women never learn. This one went all the way from Lagos to Ekiti for one useless charlatan to service her 'lower Iweka'. Sit down in one place, read your Bible, pray to God, know God for yourself, seek medical solutions and counselling. They would rather jump from one Prophet to another till they jump into problems. I just wonder what she's going to tell God as she has crossed over to the other side. |
Mariangeles:Stop telling lies. You're a Christian and that is very bad. The USAID is the number 1 aid agency in Nigeria. Followed by the UK DFID. Others like the Norwegian Council and others follow. Nigerian churches (mine inclusive) don't engage in acts of charity. Let's say the truth even if it's not convenient. |
Desyner:Lol I said your tears have just started. You'll still cry blood. The Government would tax churches, they would take the Lagosh State Government to court, the Lagos State Government would win up to the Supreme Court and then collate all unpaid taxes and hammer them. The tax is not even much but they don't want to pay anything. |
cstr1001:Stop typing like an illiterate. They aren't taxing churches income, those are tax exempt. They are taxing buildings. |
Mariangeles:Amen, Amen and Amen. Meanwhile, Churches must be taxed. It's unfair for churches to be registered as charities for charitable works and they refuse to do those charitable works. How many Churches are taking care of IDPs? Its foreign charities doing their jobs. Let's start from property tax on religious bodies. From there, who knows where next we'll move to. |
stonemasonn:They'll value the property and tax them based on the value. Mind you, the valuation is to be done by Government valuers. |
powerkey:Lmaooooo E really pained this one o. Nwanne, your tears won't change anything. Cry yourself a river. |
danvon:House of which God? Even Jesus Christ and his apostles were taxed not to talk of your Churches. Or is your church bigger than Jesus Christ? |
Mariangeles:How many shrines have 10,000 capacity buildings in Lagos? Shebi you're the light of the world? Now, you want to hide under a bushel? God forbid. Go and pay your tax |
pauljumbo:Before nko, na shrine them for focus on? Ye are a city set on a hill. Pay tax for that city o! |
Desyner:The tax is one income and not profit. Or still you need me to define them for you? |
Jupxter:Which service does the church provide? Building mega churches when the members are homeless, Pastors living like Pontius Pilate when members are living like Lazarus the beggar. |
Desyner:When you won't read the post before typing nonsense. The tax is not on the church income as that is exempt from taxation by the Companies and Allied Matters Act. However, the tax would be based on the properties occupied by those churches. Na RCCG go suffer am pass. You claim not to make profit but you're buying multi billion naira properties. Meanwhile, your members are in IKEJA General hospital unable to pay hospital bills and waiting for divine intervention. |
