PoliticsMEND Claims Responsibility For Killing Of Policemen In Bayelsa by mrofficial2(op): 9:27am On Apr 08, 2013
Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, yesterday, claimed responsibility for the Azuzuama attack in the creek of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, during which it said 15 policemen were killed.

The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kins Omire, had on Saturday said 12 of his men, two Inspectors, four non-commissioned officers and six constables were missing.

According to a statement by MEND, through its Spokesman, Gbomo Jomo, 15 policemen were killed, and also two of MEND’s fighters, in the shootout. MEND said the attack was to show the Nigerian security forces that dismissed its earlier threat, Hurricane Exodus, as an empty threat what the group can do.

“For dismissing Hurricane Exodus as an empty threat, by the Nigerian security forces, heavily armed fighters from MEND at 17:00 hrs, Saturday, April 6, intercepted and engaged government security forces in a fierce gunfight lasting over 40 minutes at Azuzama, Southern Ijaw, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.

“The clash, which happened on the river, left over 15 security forces dead as we also lost two of our fighters in the battle.
“We hope this encounter will serve as a lesson to Joint Task Force, JTF, from making careless utterances that cannot be backed as we remain resolute in our resumption of hostilities.”

MEND therefore advised oil companies and the public to ignore the false sense of security being peddled by JTF as well as the false comments from a “Comrade Azizi,” who claims to be the spokesman for the group.

“This person is not known to MEND, does not speak for MEND and his utterances and style do not reflect our plans and actions,” the statement said.

The security operatives are still searching for the remains of the slain policemen in the creeks.

“We are hoping that if any of them is alive, we will rescue him and those that are dead will be recovered, as search and rescue operations are ongoing. We have also deployed divers to the waters,” Bayelsa State Police Commissioner said.

AutosRe: Stolen Car ( Camry 2000 Model) by mrofficial2(m): 9:33pm On Apr 07, 2013
Wow! I never thought this would happen during day. Funniest thing, as me and my friend were coming back from Church, I argued that snatching of car cannot happen under the sun. Now I know better in this Ibadan.

This same Ibadan, mid last year, a friend came to visit me around Felele, he parked his car outside beside my house, on the second night, the car went missing. It was a 1999 Toyota Camry, and was on Sunday too.

I have said it several times, that crime rate Ibadan is very high.

Sorry about it. And I pray you recover it.

Afritop: MOST NIGERIANS ARE IGNORANT ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF SPEED LIMITS. ONCE THEY ARE ON THE EXPRESSWAY, WHAT COMES TO THEIR MIND IS "I MUST GET THERE ON TIME".IT IS A DANGER FOR A PEDESTRIAN TO STROLL CROSS OUR EXPRESSWAYS THINKING THAT WE HAVE LEARNT OUR LESSONS. IT IS HIGHTIME WE STARTED PUTTING SPEED BUMPS ON THE EXPRESS AND DESIGNATING ROAD PATH FOR FUEL TANKERS

I will NEVER allow any of my children to use left hand, you can compare left hand with right, right is always stronger than left according to those.

Lagos might not be the safest, but the condition is still fair looking at its population. You guys might want to try Ibadan though, the abode for all sort of crimes.

CelebritiesRe: Charly Boy On ‘My Oga At The Top’ Saga by mrofficial2(m):
While we were busy gossiping, creating cartoons, producing T. Shirts, and cooking beats in the studio to ridicule just a single individual, we lost millions of naira at the Murtula Mohammed Airport, Lagos to some armed men who stormed the airport, harassing both Nigerians and foreigners. I heard they had a swell moment at the airport. You can’t just imagine that armed robbers could succeed even in an International Airport. Where is safe then? “Yet, we were busy with My oga at the top”

While we took the joke to another level, the Boko Haram militants also saw our weaknesses and carefree attitude, and they hit us hard, killing well over 60 people in the Kano bomb attack. They beat all security apparatus in place in the volatile city, because, we refused to watch our back as we were laughing at [/quote]What is it that you guys don't understand? Did you expect ordinary Nigerians to have gone and fought the robbers or what? What are the duties of the security personnels that are there? If the security agency couldn't stop/apprehend them, who will?

Were you at the protest ground at Ojota in January last year? Well, I was there thrice. A country which peaceful protest was disparsed with Army under democratic government, WTF? The whole system needs cleansing! If they won't allow us protest bad governance, at least they won't stop us from laughing at their gaffes and incompetencies. And stop attributing the Sabon Garri suicide bomb blast with "My Oga At The Top". Boko Haram has been rocking the nation before the issue of "My Oga At The Top" surfaced. One way or the other, they will always be a loophole for them to strike due to the security nature of the country.

Hmmm!!!! It reminds me of my days in NYSC camp when a girl contesting for beauty pageant was asked to mention 6 geo-political zones in Nigeria. Funny enough the girl stated Lagos as a geo-political zone and corps members busted into laugh.....

chucky234: You are the one ignorant here, the didn't say Mr. Shem didn't know his organisation website therefore shouldn't be castigated but rather he said the fact Mr. Shem goofed showed that the entire system is a failure filled with incompetent people who knows nothing about their organisations,he also demanded that dumb goons like you should have seized the opportunity to fight our leaders who in the name of "who know man" employs incompetent people to occupy such vital positions while the competent ones lies idle and rot at home.
Let me come down to primary where I think you belong, what Charly was trying to say in summary is that the fight is beyond Mr. Shem,we should use social media to fight our leaders and rid our systems off dumb and incompetent people.
.
Its either you have problem understanding written texts or you have never come across set of words called IDIOMATIC expressions.
I remember he used to be the mouthpiece for the Okada riders then, why can't he summon the Okada men and use the same opportunity? Or is he one of the parasites eating the country?

Ignorance is worse than illiteracy.Nobody is interested if the guy doesn't know his organisation's website but trying to manouevre his way instead of accepting he doesn't know is the embarrassing issue here. Smdh
I thought I was the only one who saw the gibberish. I didn't even bother to read everything. All I saw was blah blah blah. I wonder if charlie boy understands what professionalism, profession and duty are. And using that to the reason why Boko Haram bombed Sambo Garri park? That's hogwash!

He should shut his gayish mouth up. I couldn't expect less from someone who has been lashed here and there for his eccentric despicable lifestyle. If Mr Shem had not tried to manouevre, the issue of "My Oga At The Top" wouldn't have surfaced.

How many years after 9/11 before Osama was killed?
You are obviously not aware that Al Qaeda is still operating even in America and bombing cells are uncovered every now & then after painstaking, careful intelligence gathering work.
BTW, how many times have you reported suspicious activities to the police in your life huh
How security concsious are you?
Can you even recognise suspicious activity huh
Do you know what your neighbour does for a living?
etc etc etc?
How many times have you reported suspicious activities in your pathetic life?

Can't you just express yourself and lay your dispute without rudeness?

How are we sure that the news isn't false when we don't even get to see the pictures of the so called factories and the culprits? These half-baked cunning news self.
