Crime / Man Hides In Gutter To See Ladies Pants by MrOrioye(m): 9:56am On Nov 11, 2015
A man in Japan who hid in a drain for five hours, allegedly to snap photos up women’s skirts, was given away when passers-by spotted his hair sticking out of a grate, police and reports said.

Yasuomi Hirai, 28, allegedly squeezed himself in a section of a gutter 28 centimetres (11 inches) wide, with his head under a piece of iron grating, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

“His hair got caught at the edge of the grate, which drew the attention of some pedestrians,” the spokesman with the Hyogo prefectural police in Kobe told AFP.

The alleged offence took place in the port city August, but police said that Hirai’s arrest on Monday came after a lengthy investigation.

Police did not elaborate but the Sports Hochi tabloid reported Tuesday that Hirai kept himself in the small space for about five hours, holding a smart phone to take photos from under the grate.

Local reports said it was not the first time Hirai has been arrested for the same offence, which violated a local ordinance preventing nuisance acts.

He was nabbed two years ago after squeezing himself into a gutter allegedly for the same purpose, Sports Hochi said.

Hirai reportedly told police at the time that he wanted to be reborn as “part of pavement in the next life.”

Peculiar offences involving the harassment of women and girls are frequently reported in Japan.

In 2012, several high school girls from a small neighbourhood reported to police that they were tackled by a sock-stealing thief.

Biafrans expansionist agenda was exposed loooooonnnng time ago, this time around everyone is fully prepared and any attempt to take what doesn't belong to you will only result in the fulfilment of the Biblical prophesy, " AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINING, SO SHALL IT BE IN THE END ".
This time around everything including chemical and biological weapon plus fetish shall be employed in the war, it won't be an act of wickedness to defend our land from land grabbing barbarians grin grin grin grin.

HAA! Eyin tun buru o... We don't want war beg o. No disintegration. The real elite amongst the Igbos will be the ones to fight this battle with words and dialog. I'm sure they'll calm down soon.

Expression of hate could be so interesting. Unfortunately for you, you were born a Nigerian cos there's high possibility that you are not 55yrs old, which means you were born after the name was created. So whether you like it or not, no matter how you hate the name "Nigeria" and embrace your "Republic of Biafra". You can not erase the fact that you're a Nigerian.

Also whats this about slavery? Are you still enslaved? Do you feel like a slave in Nigeria? Well I don't feel enslaved. And the name Nigeria sweetens me everywhere i go that I'm always in a hurry to come back before schedule. If Lugard didn't give us the name, God will send someone else to do it and it will still be same name "NIGERIA". Have you seen a nameless country anywhere? I bet not.

zendy:

You were born a Nigerian? Really? The only reason you are a Nigerian is because Lord Lugard came to West Africa to give you that name. If Lord Lugard had not come, what would you have been born as? You would have been born as a "west African waiting for Lord Lugard to come give him a name"

A lot of Africans like you have slave mentality. You can't use your brain to understand that it is your right to decide your destiny. A white came and gave you Nigeria and a Nigerian you must be? Can you go to the White mans land to give him his own country without him hanging you? You're not ashamed of your self that the White man came from Europe to come tell you who you are and bastardise your ancestors with the name 'Nigeria'? That's why you Nigerians can never understand Biafra or the desire of a people to be free to create their own country.

Biafra is not about the Chukwudi doing business in Kano, the Emeka in Lagos, the Chike with mansions in Abuja or the Anayo prospering in London. These are foreign lands that got nothing to do with us. Biafra is about Biafra land and those who live in it. When we get Biafra, it will be up to Chukwudi, Emeka,Chike and Anayo to return home or face the music of whatever happens to them and their investment. And if they love their investments more than they love their own homeland, then that's their business.

Cure your self from mental and colonial slavery
Politics / Re: A Nigeria Without The Igbos by MrOrioye(m): 2:20pm On Nov 06, 2015
In My Shallow opinion, Many Igbos have businesses around the world than Hausas, likewise are Igbos married to more British citizens than any other tribe in Nigeria.

Can you mention something that the Igbos suffer but everyone else (Arewa, Oodua, MidleBelts) don't? A peculiar problem to the Igbos alone?

I believe you're in support of the movement yeah? I'll advise you stop hating as Okorocha said, let's address the problems of Nigeria together.

Are you aware that ever since the last Biafran Civil War, most Nigerians have been of the opinion that an Igbo leader (president) will not unite Nigeria? And that may be a problem again for Igbos to ever produce a president when this movement fails (as always)?

Did you read that "The war cost the Igbos a great deal in terms of lives, money and infrastructure. It has been estimated that up to three million people may have died due to the conflict, most from hunger and disease caused by Nigerian forces. More than two million people died from the famine imposed deliberately through blockade throughout the war. Lack of medicine also contributed. Thousands of people starved to death every day as the war progressed. (The International Committee of the Red Cross in September 1968 estimated 8,000–10,000 deaths from starvation each day.)" Quoted from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Civil_War

How do you even see other Nigerians? I mean that your non-Igbo neighbour down the street. Do you look at him as the cause of the Igbo problems and hereby wants to kill him? Why start a war that almost destroyed most of your kin the first time you tried? How do you even think? Do you say to your heart "Whatever happens let it happen, we want BIAFRA at all cost even if people perish"?

soulpeppersoup:

Opinion is too shallow and this is what happens when sentiment beclouds a man's judgment.

Many Yorubas are married to British born men and women. Many Hausa have businesses in many part of the world outside Nigeria.

Politics / A Nigeria Without The Igbos by MrOrioye(m): 12:26pm On Nov 06, 2015
We've seen agitations here and there -rising day by day- from the south-eastern parts of Nigeria to revive the once dead spirit of Biafra.

Just this morning, i read an article By Nwabueze Okonkwo on Vanguard http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/im-still-committed-to-biafra-struggle-uwazuruike-2/

"Leader of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has charged his Igbo kinsmen to always disregard counter views or opinions expressed by the Imo State governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha with regard to the current efforts by MASSOB to actualize an independent state of Biafra.

He said that such counter-views or opinions always expressed by Okorocha against the actualization of Biafra “portends him as a common saboteur to the Igbo cause.”

In a statement to newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra State made on his behalf by MASSOB’s National Deputy Director for Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, Uwazuruike stated that although Okorocha had the constitutional right to express his opinions or views on any matter including that of MASSOB and Biafra actualization, he has no capacity to decide or determine what happens in Igbo land.

According to the statement, “Okorocha is aiding and abetting the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government in the continued marginalization of Ndigbo. He is also financing the central mosque near the Government House, Owerri, Imo State to the detriment of our people.”

Meanwhile, Uwazurike had again reaffirmed his determination to actualize Biafra as a sovereign, independent nation without violence within his life time, stressing that if he failed to get Biafra, then he would have failed to achieve what is expected of him to do.

Uwazurike, who made the vow at a MASSOB meeting held in Ojukwu Memorial Library, new Owerri, Imo State, said he was proud that no member of MASSOB had been charged for armed robbery, kidnapping or stealing in the course of the Biafran struggle, adding that such a clean slate was a credit to their non-violent posture.

He boasted that despite the killing of his members by security agencies from 1999-2015, his men had never retaliated or been found guilty by any court of competent jurisdiction.

“I came into the world to do one thing and that is to achieve Biafra and liberate my oppressed people from bondage in Nigeria." *End of quote*

Even some Nigerians in diaspora have joined the cause. Just last week, there was a protest in Hong Kong https://www.naij.com/622939-just-biafrans-protest-hong-kong-photos.html

Now I ask myself, what do the igbos want? Are they united with the jaws and others in the region against this cause? Or is it just some fraction of them hiding behind this subject to achieve another hidden objective? Well, no answers provided yet.

My primary concern is, can Nigeria do without any fraction of it? Be the Ijaws, Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas or others? That's going to be difficult considering how much we've integrated.

When this movement was started in 1967, Musa never thought he was ever going to leave the north to settle in another state in Nigeria. Now he has four houses in Agege occupied mostly by Igbos and others. Ebuka, the son of a palm wine tapper -Chukwuemeka, had not dreamt of learning a trade. Now he owns the biggest store chain across Lagos. Same applies to Ayoola the husband of Veronica who has been shuffling between four south-east states for over 20 years propelling multinational companies to places of greater height. I was looking at a list of wedding notifications on a scroll in my church and noticed that out of six weddings to take place in one day, four of the couples were to marry from other tribes.

It is easy for an ignorant person to say "Let them go"....or "Let Nigeria Divide".... In my opinion, you don't really know what you want. The implication of disintegration is, in most cases, usually devastating. The problem Nigeria is facing is a collective one, you don't run away from one problem to create another. Remember Sudan/South Sudan?

Nigeria was a secret British project that turned out to be a surprise. Fifteen years ago a parent of three sons advised their sons not to marry anyone that's not a Yoruba. Their first son complied. Seven years later the second son changed the equation, he brought in a Benin lady and fought his way through till his parents agreed. The last one married from Anambra. This happened in just a single family. Is that not a sign of development in tribal tolerance? Why would some fraction of people make us throw that away for reasons only best known to them? Sponsors say the Ndigbos are neglected. I believe they haven't traveled round other parts of the country to see the state of things and how people are living. I also believe no problem is peculiar to a fraction of the country.

What will it be like to have the states inside the red line in the below image deleted from the entire map? For me, I can't imagine a Nigeria without my Ndigbo brothers.

You were born a Nigerian and will forever be a Nigerian. PLEASE STOP THE AGITATION....

Technology Market / IKEDC Rolls Out New Prepaid Meters In Ikeja by MrOrioye(m): 7:42pm On Oct 27, 2015
It is gradually appearing that Nigerians' voices are being heard by the government and the DISCOs. On getting to work today here's what i saw. IKEDC is rolling out new smart meters with remote controls. In order to reduce electricity theft, the company has decided to install the meters on electricity polls where they will be easy to assess without troubles.

This way, all electricity cables comes straight from the meters to your home/office making it impossible for anyone to bypass the meters.

I hope this solution is permanent.

Family / Re: Is It Wise For A Woman To Give Her Husband Part Of Her Monthly Salary? by MrOrioye(m): 5:23pm On Oct 27, 2015
Janix2:
I need honest answers.
Notice this days that Women earn than men.

Marriage is an unending project so you’re free to try somethings sometimes (with care) to see if they will work for you. It’s true, women earn more than men these days. Personally, I believe you’re only helping yourself if you submit all you have (EVERYTHING) to your husband. Yes!! Don’t strike me yet…continue reading. It works for some people, and doesn’t for others. All depends on the kind of hubby you have. Different families with different formula. Wether one formula works or not depends on the personalities of the couple.

It makes some men lazy (so true), it makes some men sit up and for some others; indifferent.

This is a very critical matter in Marriage. In fact, i’d say so many marriages fail because of this. The worse thing is, it gets to a point they don’t remember what is responsible for the problems in the family. This is because men (with pride) pretend this subject doesn’t matter until they start seeing their wife spend on luxuries they can’t afford and maybe when friends begin to notice. An average man won’t come out to say what the problem is, he won’t want his wife to sense he is being intimidated by her actions. Regarding such matters and the likes, christian women want to hurriedly quote 1Tim 5:8 and Eph 5:25 and what i ask them is why jump to verse 25 ignoring verse 22? Well that’s a story for another day. Let me share my own personal experience.

I am a married man. Ever since i got married my wife has been practising what so many people on this thread call “the insensible”. She does direct transfer of her entire salary to my account and then comes to me when she needs anything. Its not as if i wasn’t working, i was but she earned more. We pay all bills and shop from my account. Well this act of insensibility has made our union stronger. From day one, up till this moment, money has never caused any argument in our house, not the slightest one.

She’s the smartest woman I’ve ever met. It took some time before i understood that if you persistently drop your fetcher in a dry well, you will one day draw out water. At first i thought it wasn't real and that she will change. I’m from a polygamous background and my orientation was that “women are this, women are that, they will ruin you if they know what you’re worth bla bla bla”. To my surprise, 1st yr, 2nd yr, 3rd yr she was 100% consistent (Note: during these years she was earning 40% more that i do).

So towards the end of the 3rd yr of our marriage, I started a company and gave her 100% access to all that I have, made her signatory to all my accounts including my company’s account and gave her the PIN to all Cards. Now ask yourself, who pays the bill? Myself or my wife? Who owns all my salary and proceeds from the company?

Let me tell you how it helped us

1. During the period she was earning more, i didn’t feel the pressure. And today whenever i remember it, I just text her to say “thank you”.
2. She imprinted the idea of “Money is just a tool” in me.
3. Whenever she requests for anything, I don’t say no. Not even when the amount involved is more than our joint salary. You know why?….She’s set the pace by making that big sacrifice.
4. I can’t spend a dime from "my account" without her consent. You know why? Something tells me inside that all the money is hers and i’ll be a gentle man to ask her permission.
5. I got to that point in a man’s life when i wanted to have extra marital affair. I couldn’t because i didn’t know how to defend monies i withdraw for any purpose other than business or home. And trust me, if its business, she knows everything about my business including all my clients. This is just a summary point but i tell you, it helped me overcome that trial at that particular time. Trust me, all married men gets to this cross road sometime in life and if nothing stops them then their relationship starts to decline. For some men, its conscience; their conscience fights them hard and wins, for some its a single church sermon (or other encounter) at the right time that helps, for me it was the transparency and accountability initiated by my wife that prevented me.
6. Then of course, having our monies together makes us do “everything” together (which is a key factor for transparency and accountability in our home”

Let me tell you how it could've been

1. There may not be 100% transparency & accountability. Due to the polygamous background i have, I could've been the kinda hubby that would not let his wife know what he is worth because I'm trying to hide my money (or worth). If you don’t know what he is worth, you’ll ask based on what you are worth or what you perceived him to be worth. That causes crisis because some men like to pretend they have even when they don’t, some like to pretend they don’t have even when they have. It is essential for you to know what the case is always. And for you to know, you will need to have access, for you to have access, you may (like in my case) need to earn it.

2. Who knows? During the times i didn't have much, I may not be able to ask directly and just keep suffering in silence. Trust me if that was the case, we may not be where we are today. This is how it works, whenever a man (not all) is worried especially due to lack of money, he can't have quality sex with you, and in some cases may not have sex with you at all. Now you may be asking yourself “why does it have to get to that point?” Well, situation caused the lack, he has ego, hence may not be able to ask; The fact that he knows you have and you’re not logical enough to understand angers him, and in turn, he will rant at everything you do. Then you’ll be the one to cry to your pastor/neighbour/mentor complaining theres no peace at home.

Thank God the later didn’t happen. We’re happy together. Now we both counsel people as a hobby.

My advise to you…

Know your hubby. Try the peaceful approach first….”submit all”. If you see its not working, halt! address the reason why its not working (he is drinking, flirting, insensibly generous, lazy and so on), after addressing the issue, then resume back. Apparently, Its best to keep both monies on the table and plan. That way you grow fast. The bible calls the woman “a helper”. You can not draw someone up from the ground without you first standing above them, so in that case God knows why you earn more.

Except for a shameless man, if you put your husband in charge of your money, you're only employing him as your manager and in turn getting unlimited access to his own purse. In some cases you're using that to show him how you want him to do. You're telling him you trust him with all you have and thereby enhancing transparency and accountability at home. Lastly, you're forcing him to plan with you; trust me, you'll enjoy it when your husband calls you to the table to plan with you.

........Like i said, this doesn't work for a shameless man. grin

On logging in to their portal. I was billed as follows

Standard Shipping 8-14days $17.26
CLEARING AND CUSTOM'S DUTY: $10.00
OTHER CHARGES: $0.99
VAT: $0.87 (Probably because i paid with PayPal)

Thats $29.09 Total for a 2.2lbs package (incl $10 customs taxes) (Amounted to Approx N6,408 @220.275 to a dollar)

[s]
Currently having technical issues with portal preventing payment...I've emailed them and now just optimistic that this will be fixed soon and i'll be able to put payment through today.
[/s]

No response received but i tried again and was able to pay using my PayPal account. Now i have a tracking number. Just expecting an official notification from Shoptomydoor acknowledging payment receipt and possible ETA for my package.

More update soon....

***Update***

Just this morning Package was delivered to company representing Shoptomydoor at 11:12AM (China Time- They are 7hours ahead of us). I haven't gotten any news from Shoptomydoor but i was able to track package myself online to get this information. I believe, depending on volume of packages they handle hourly, it could take some time for them to sort all packages to different units and send emails to me.

I keep my fingers crossed....waiting patiently grin grin

More updates as they come.

I'm sure some (if not most) of you may have tried Shoptomydoor for your freight services. For me, it's my first time with them. I have (just recently) tried MallForAfrica and now its shoptomydoor's turn grin

In this thread, I will be updating you on the entire process, from the moment my item gets delivered to their China warehouse till I get it here in Nigeria.

Also my first time buying directly from a chinese vendor on eBay...#NotEasyIMustSay. I had to translate every word including my own name on the address Hheheehe!

Note: This thread is just for people who wish to know how the process works with this company. How long it takes, customer service, responsiveness, etc.

As soon as my item gets to ShoptoMydoor warehouse. I will be here again to update you....Cheers

Na waa o, you made a mistake and I pointed it out, even without personal insults or calling you a scam or failure. All you had to do is reply me based on the topic and clarify with better facts, not to resort to calling me names or assuming I've missed a lot of opportunities in life. No need for that man

Apologies man. That was so wrong of me cool

Something makes me feel you actually work for MallForAfrica and this is nothing but a disguised advert to win people over. Notice the glaring discrepancy on the location of the goods where your warehouse will be received then sent to Nigeria(is it US or UK or both), or are your efficient company also confused.?

Next time, proof read your advert properly. Thanks

Like seriously! Something makes you feel that i work for MallForAfrica? Well that "thing" is called a deceptive spirit. It may be responsible for most of the opportunities you have lost in the past...Brother-Man you need to check it. Why do you have to think that way man? Do i have to work for them to show people like me who wanted to give it a try?

Sorry man. These posts weren't for you. They're for people who just wanna know how it works with this particular company amongst many others. Not people who are looking for mistakes or reasons to doubt the genuineness of the process. Before finally using MallForAfrica, i asked so many questions both here and on other forums. I was curious to know before i tried but no information or testimony from anyone. Thats why companies don't grow here. People don't give feedbacks. And when they do, others think they are sponsored. WTF??

Well I just placed an order on eBay to be shipped to my shoptomydoor address in China and i'll open another thread for this same purpose. Maybe then you'll say "I think you're an ambassador of Shoptomydoor grin"?

And FYI, it was a typo from the original message itself as shown in screenshot attached here. And i'm glad you used the word efficient, i think they are; irrespective of their typo.

I think they all charge import duties. 10% of item value in most cases.
