But pressing the power button is supposed to bring it on.

Things you should do to confirm.

Connect a call and show the screen to direct sunlight.

Make a call with earphone.

If the screen stays on then it's obviously the sensor.


Did you change the touch pad or install a screen guard?

The sensor is covered by the screen guard.

This should help you, the sensor is probably broken and needs to be replaced.

Follow this simple step and you won't have to worry about the sensor working or not.

Go-to accessibility settings and enable power button ends call. Whenever you make a call, just press the power button and the call will drop and your phone will come back on.
