Since our lost to Egypt and eventual non qualification for the AFCON next year, many Nigerians have been apportioning blame to anyone they feel disappointed them, from the coach to players and even the Kaduna pitch!! I was having an interesting chat with a die hard Super Eagles fan I met on Palmchat, I explained to her that we lost due to the following : 1) Lack of organisation. Nigeria is the only country that played 3 qualification matches with 3 different coaches and 3 different captains, 3 different formation scoring 3 goals from 3 different players. In football consistency is key. 2)Poor funding. Oliseh said that he used his money to support the players during training and provided other neccecities, Nigeria is the only country that will owe a coach they proudly call the Guardiola of Africa and still expect him to win. 3) Internal politicking and ego clash Why did Oliseh relieve Enyeama of his captaincy duties? Especially when he just lost his mum and was grieving. Oliseh of all people understand the importance of player power, but he refused to respect it. You cannot treat your captain in an abysmal way and expect the players to play with all their hearts. 4) NFF and politics A crucial match like the Egypt game should have been played in a better pitch and under a better weather. What happened to Uyo, Calabar and Port Harcourt stadia? Oh! Those states are PDP states, so NFF decided to take the game to a hot region because Elrufai promised to take care of all the expenses. Finally I would opine that neither the coaches ( Keshi , Oliseh, Siasia) nor the players are to be blamed for our loss. Siasia only covered the grave that Oliseh had dug. NFF is completely responsible for it, when the football body is in disarray or completely mismanaged, how do you expect the team to play well. If I were Amaju Pinick I would resign immediately!! I still love my Eagles and will always support them no matter the circumstance. #Myonekobo |

A friend wrote this, I have advised her but I need you guys input. The smart ones will know who the "friend " is at the end. Lol I met this hot handsome man on Palmchat last two years, he introduced me to his friends as a "friend ". Although he knows that I I love him. What should I do? Should I ask him out? Or has he friend zoned me? Please help. Thanks |
In England a judge sentenced Adam Johnson a well known footballer to 6 yrs in jail for "sexual activity with a child and for abuse of trust" Note : Adam Johnson did not have sex with the girl, just "kissing". The girl is 15 not 13, Adam Johnson did not abduct the girl, neither did he convert her to another religion, Adam Johnson did not impregnate the girl. But somewhere else in the world, in a country called Nigeria, a man that committed the above mentioned crimes is granted bail, Yunusa Yellow even had a SAN representing him!! You know a great country by the way it treats the vulnerable (women and girls), It is a shame that at last the Yunusa man will not smell prison. What a country. I remember I met a young girl on Palmchat, immediately she told me her age I turned the chat to how is studies, read your books and all. That is how a decent man should act. |

Was having an interesting conversation on Palmchat about cars earlier today. As someone who has experienced the harsh reality of bus hopping and bike climbing in Lagos, I can tell you that it is not the nicest of experience. From smelly passengers to abusive conductors that wants u to forget your "change". Some view car as a luxury rather than a tool. But after suffering the stubborn Lagos traffic for years, I can tell u that having a car is really cool, however, to me a car is not a luxury but a tool, but it can be a luxurious tool. What do you think? |
Barcanista!!! Let it be stated here that the current administration is lost in power. Prebendalism is the order of the day, Buhari have lost control of the economy according to Lai. Nigerians are in for a long bumpy ride. Let us continue the conversation on palmchat. |
