NEWSFLASH BRO: It ain't gonna happen. If you like push him from Nigeria to timbuktu,he is not in the callibre of brains that we need. Worst of all he is a snake. He was part of the pdp era, them tried to truncate fela durotoye's emergence in his party them gallivanting from ANN, to ADC to UDP now to PT. the guy is confused abeg and he is a snake and i can never trust a snake.

The Presidential Candidate of People’s Trust (PT) Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has assured workers in the country that if elected as president in 2019 ,he would pay N50,000 as minimum wage.

According to the third force presidential candidate: “In 1983, Nigeria first had N125 minimum wage, the equivalent of N50, 000 today. So, if we are paying N50, 000 minimum wage today, we will only be giving what was given in 1983’’.

‘’those who are complaining about paying N30, 000 minimum wage, tell them that they lack initiative and cannot think as far and as seriously as those who govern Nigeria in 1983’’ he noted

I’ll Create 16 Million Jobs In 4 Years If Elected President – Olawepo-Hashim

Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, presidential candidate of People’s Trust (PT), at the weekend promised to create 16 million jobs in four years if elected president of the the country in next year’s election.

The PT presidential standard bearer spoke while addressing party faithful in Akure, Ondo state capital.

Olawepo-Hashim said he would deployed his experience in business to bring his nation’s economy out of the woods.

He said: “I am not a parasite that has been living on government. I am someone who knows how to create jobs and will create jobs for your children.

“I will create four million jobs every year by removing the obstacles to investment in Nigeria. It is only the private sector that can create jobs in Nigeria.

“When we remove the obstacles to investment in Nigeria, which some people have put there, investment will flow and jobs will be created.

“We will expand the economy from $510 billion that it is now to a $4 trillion economy. That is what is contained in our new Nigeria economic development programme.”

North East: Olawepo Hashim urges politicians not to politicize national security



Frontline Presidential Candidate, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has called on politicians to rise above partisan fray in their reactions to the recent killings of Nigeria troops in the Northeast region.

Instead of politicizing the sad event, the candidate, regarded as a third force in emerging political calculations rather called for a cross-party, consensual approach in dealing with the national scourge, according to a statement signed by his Spokesman, Mr. Hassan Ibrahim.



The upbeat candidate, who was lately endorsed by women in the Southwest region, stressed that it was time politicians desist from matters that could affect national security. “National security” he noted “is not supposed to be a partisan issue. It is a matter for the collective, because if there is no security, there cannot be politics and nationhood”



Visibly moved, Olawepo-Hashim regretted the killings of Nigerian troops, observing that the troops were heroes who laid their lives protecting their fatherland. “That fatherland should grow to be much more responsive to the needs of their offsprings, as an honour to them”



The statement said the presidential candidate condoled with the government and people of Nigeria on the death of the gallant soldiers and all others who have lost their lifes in recent days in different parts of the country. He prayed for the repose of their souls and for the quick recovery of the injured.



When elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019, the statement added that the candidate promised to improve on the security situation in the country within 90 days, ahead of the development of completely new security architecture.



The announcement stressed: "The objective of this will be to upgrade telecommunication, military hardware, training, welfare of personnel, etc. Above all, there will be the need to address the root causes of insurgency, and security challenges such as kidnapping, communal killings, clashes between herdsmen and farmers, pipeline vandalism ,etc."



Olawepo-Hashim however commended the reported move to assist the families of the late soldiers as timely, adding that it is consistent with international best practices.

You are very correct. He his very focused on the issues, not name calling. His economic agenda is clearly slept out, which is to expand our economy from $510b to $4trillion.

But it's not surprising. Hashim is a global business man, who has investment in 4 continents in areas like telecoms, energy, oil etc. He is also a celebrated global human right icon.

2019: 10 Northern Groups Back Olawepo’s Presidential Bid

No fewer than Northern Youth groups have, on Thursday, endorsed the Presidential candidate of People’s Trust ( PT),Mr.Gbenga Olawepo Hashim, as their choice ahead of 2019.

Malam Samaila Garba Garri ,National Coordinator of a group,Matasan AREWA na Dimokradiya( All AREWA Young Democrats ),said they were specifically, angered by the choice of Presidential candidates of the two major political parties who they alleged,had nothing new to offer in Nigeria.

Garri,who spoke on behalf of ten Northern groups in Kaduna, after listening to Olawepo’s presentation on the plight and future of Nigeria and Nigerians,said the PT candidate has the ideas to make Nigeria a better country for all if he wins.

Garri, explained that the groups were in Abuja when the Presidential candidate of PT addressed his supporters, adding that they were happy when he promised to pay N50,000 as minimum wage to Nigerian workers.

” Mr. Olawepo Hashim is a successful business man who has always been with the poor.He has been engaged in philanthropic activities and hardly spend a day without putting smile on faces.”

” From Hashim’s remarks on that occasion we understand he knows so much about the Nigerian economy and how to improve it,he is knowledgeable about the Nigerian people more than the sitting President and PDP’s flag bearer.”

” We also see him as a third force to be reckoned with,a bridge builder since he has biological link with the North.We have no reason to forsake him,we have every reason to deny others our vote in 2019 because it would surely be a disappointment at the ” next level” and the implementation of a selfish ” policy document ” we throw our weight behind the other major contenders.” Garri said.

Garri, noted that with Olawepo as the President in 2019, he will attract foreign investments as he was known globally and reputed as a successful businessman.

“We have planned to organize a youth summit where we shall declare our unalloyed support for Gbenga Olawepo Hashim,as well as to welcome 20 other youth groups into our fold and map out strategy of convincing our elders,parents and peers in the Northern region on the need to suppport Olawepo Hashim” Garri maintained.

I will give women 35 per cent if elected in 2019 ― People’s Trust presidential candidate

AHEAD of the 2019 general election, the Presidential candidate of Peoples Trust (PT), Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has assured Nigerian women of getting a 35percent representative in the elective positions and appointment if he emerged the nation’s president in 2019.
Olawepo-Hashim who stated this in Akure, Ondo State capital, during the inauguration of South West Women for Hashim, said his government would ensure women participation in politics and governance.He said “I fought for this when I was Secretary of Youth and Women sub-committee of transition of the beginning of President Obasanjo in 1999. We realised that in the cabinet, there were more than 30 per cent almost 35 per cent of women in that cabinet when Obasanjo was elected.
I will exceed that projection when elected as president because I once fought for it. We will achieve that and we will ensure that affirmative per cent.”

Apart from this, the People’s Trust Presidential candidate, promised to put an end to cervical cancer if elected president, saying his government will sponsor vaccine for all girls from age nine to age 25.“We will vaccinate against cancer and that is what I am going to do for all Nigerian girls and young women.
“They will have the vaccines against cervical cancer when I am elected president in 2019. As commander in chief, I will do it within 6 months of being sworn-in. This is a major program for women that will protect them in the future against falling ill to cancer.”

Olawepo-Hashim also promised to create four million jobs annually if elected president in 2019 and said “I’m somebody who knows how to create jobs. I will create jobs for your children.

“I will create four million jobs every year by removing the obstacles to investment in Nigeria because it is only the private sector that can create jobs, not the government.

“We are going to expand the economy from the $510 billion to a $4 trillion economy. That will be achieved with the New Nigeria Economic Development Plan.

“We will pay workers minimum wage and will celebrate our first anniversary with N50,000 minimum wage for workers. We will stop killings and unite Nigerians. Nigeria has never been divided as it is under the APC government today.

“We will give Nigeria a government that will unite the country, secure the land and a government where all Nigerians will be protected.

Speaking his vision for the power sector, he said “all that I will say is that the most important thing will need in the power Sector is an investment. For you to have an investment in the sector, investors must see how their money will come back when they put their money in the Sector.

“For now, the distribution sector where the money is collected is not being properly managed. Revenues are not coming. If they can’t collect their revenue, they can’t invest in the power sector. We need to fix what is going on in the distribution sector.

“Right now, the privatisation done was not effectively done. We have people managing that Sector, who do not have the capacity in investment to make that sector, that unit to be efficient. That is where the problem is, we need to fix it and I will fix because I am an investor in the power sector.”

Hashim, while speaking on restructuring, said ” I believe in the devolution of power from the federal government to the state, so that they can mobilise resources.

” But I did not believe in the recomposition of regions. I believe in moving power from the federal government to the state government. I will address the lack of equality in the zones. I will create one state in the South East region, that I will do within one year.”
