APC and their propaganda machine at work!. You can as well tell us Ms. Buhari picked the watch from the dustbin.
Politics › Re: President Buhari's N2.1 Billion Asokoro Mansion, Abuja - Breaking Times by mrrock: 9:41pm On Jun 03, 2015
Buhari is just as rich as his contemporaries; like IBB, Obasanjo, Abacha, Abdusalami, e.t.c. Some people are just good in keeping low profile. Any insinuation that Buhari is poorer than say IBB is just pure nonsense!. I've been saying this during the campaigns.

Nigerians have been deceived again!

Is the first lady on trial here? It is as if I don't understand all these noise about watch.
Why don't you check the price of her hijab and necklace too? You are just an idle hand and ultimately the devil's workshop
Yes, she's on public opinion trial. The moment she became the first lady, is the moment she became a public figure and must have to account how she's able to afford a watch of over N10, 000, 000.

By the way, why do you deem it fit to tell us her saloon price list today?.

Is this post meant to justify the humongous cost of her wrist watch?. If she wanted to come clean as to her source of income, why not show us her income tax paid over the last 5 years?.
Politics › Re: Buhari And Osinbajo Spotted On Their First Day In Office In Abuja(photos) by mrrock:
Good pic. But this Osinbajo must realize he's now the vice president of Nigeria and no longer a common pastor at RCCG. He should stop this body language always giving him off worshiping Buhari, Tinubu and those power brokers. He's more qualified than Buhari to be president, so should be wielding powers of his own as opposed to looking like anybody's servant. I know he's a Tinubu stooge and wasn't planning to be here but he should realize he's now the vice president and should see himself as such.
Politics › Re: Aisha Buhari’s Inauguration Wristwatch Can Also Be Gotten For $129 by mrrock:
Ms. Buhari's watch is the specially customised one, not even the one of £34,000 that you can randomly purchase. The customised one goes for as high as £262,000.

We're talking about a family that's wealthy enough that she gave out N134 million to charity few months ago.

That watch on her hand is over N60,000,000!(sixty million naira).

Politics › Re: Why Has Power Supply Suddenly Improved? by mrrock: 7:19pm On Jun 01, 2015
Noneroone:
Since Friday the inauguration day, we have been experiencing steady power supply where i live. We experienced power outages for the past two weeks as a result of fuel scarcity but the sudden improvement of around 22hrs/day gives me reason to ask questions.
I am sure no new structure has been put in place by the new administration to guarantee a boost in supply. So why the sudden improvement?

Was the last administration's efforts sabotaged?
True!. Since Saturday, after the inauguration of Buhari, electricity supply improved in my area. It's clear some people were at work blackmailing GEJ. That's the only logical explanation.

kiss Why Do Nigerian Women Hate Smoking So Much? 45% of our Men does it, but 99.9% of Women are not into it.The few ones that does it, are termed as a prostitute, or looked down upon by Nigerians. Why this?

Pls don't quote me wrongly, the purpose of this thread is not to encourage smoking but to get explanation from Nairaland deep thinkers of what could be the probable cause of it. but from my own observation, When i was opportuned to visit USA (Miami, Florida) to be precise. I was forced to compare and contast the social live styles of our Women with theirs as regard to smoking and drinking. I noticed about 45% of them were habitual smokers.

On the contrary i believe a reason for decline lies partly in the fact most most females are busy so fannot spare time to engage in the contest and also they want to protect their privacy to an extent .
If indeed they're busy or scared on safety grounds, they would've simply point you to their Facebook page or instagram page. You look cool though, if that's you.

The simple thing you guys should've done is have interested contestants point you to their Facebook page/instagram page. That would've made it easier for everyone.

missclasssy:
Nairaland is like a family.
Every one has cliques, group of friends and those they like.
If they see that their friend is participating, they will like to, especially ladies.....

You can't say over 90% of the ladies are fake, no that's errorneous.
Although I agree that there are fake ones, I don't think they are the majority.

Most ladies saying that they don't have time, are always here on nairaland, morning and night.
Most of them are just looking for that single "push"
I don't know how old you are but I'm too old to be young. That excuse of not having enough time would be solved by having the contestants simply show us their Facebook page/instagram page. They should simply identify themselves by uploading same Nairaland IDs on those sites, then go to sleep. Then, shall you realize over 80% of female accounts are fake!.

This's not a very valid argument. Because, the only thing the contestants need to do is send their pictures and go to sleep. The rest would be done by Nairalanders.

The thing is the so called people at the "top" think they know best.
They think they are "wiser" than everyone else so they don't need anyone's services or input
They think they are more "matured" than everyone else so they would be "matured" in handling everything "the way it should"

Most ladies might not want to compete because they are not just interested.
It doesn't take much time, all they need do is post their pictures.
If they see their fellow ladies participating, they would also want to..... It's just basic human psychology

How do you expect to draw attention and interest if you don't get to spice things up......

While I agree with you the people at the top made the contest arrangements awkward, but I still disagree with you on why ladies are declining to contest.
Politics › Re: How Jega Defeated Jonathan For Buhari By Femi Aribisala by mrrock: 8:03am On Apr 08, 2015
Jonathan is a dull man. I can't believe he could not calculate several years back that Obasanjo wasn't his friend. The beginning of Jonathan's failure was his inability to settle his problems with Amechi. Obasanjo capitalized on that and had been pulling the strings behind the scenes.
Can't believe he couldn't see all these conspiracies coming.

naijaboiy, missclasssy, ZedX6.

I'm suprised you all are wondering why the disproportionate amount of declines you're getting. The major reason for the surprising amount of declines you get is because over 80% of supposedly female accounts are fake!. They are actually men hiding under female accounts for scamming purposes.
Politics › Re: Obasanjo Presents Soludo As Finance Minister, Tinubu Kicks by mrrock: 7:00pm On Apr 06, 2015
Buhari should choose his own ministers himself. Exclude people like OBJ in your plans so if you make a mistake you know it's your own mistake.
GEJ refused to be controlled by OBJ, that's the right thing to do.
Buhari should choose a new path for Nigeria, if he want to effect any change.
Politics › Re: Buhari May Find It Hard To Change Nigeria by mrrock: 1:58pm On Apr 05, 2015
The BIGGEST change has already happened. There's no bigger change than handing over from one democratically elected government to another, peacefully. The challenge now is for the APC to build upon this sweet development.
Politics › Re: Dear Oby, A People Have The Right To Choose Their Hero by mrrock: 1:13pm On Apr 04, 2015
GEJ is a man of his words.

He said he will give Nigerians a credible election. He proved it.

Long before the election, he said he will accept the result of the election no matter who the winner. He proved it.

GEJ is a very civilized man. He is the best thing to happen to our democracy yet!.
